  VMWare Workstation 6.5 runs on a Windows Vista 64 - bit PC. With work stations, we have 2 computers invited running: TerriVM and MattVM (these two are running Windows XP SP2).   The double-click feature applies from the lock screen, not the home screen.

  To check that it is always enabled, go to: settings > portfolio & Apple pay > check that double click on the home page button is enabled.

  Yes, it's true.  The Schlage communicates via Bluetooth. There is no way to 'activate' the ATV when you're not on site.  So if you want the ATV to control Bluetooth periperials then it must be on the never sleep.

  Downside is probably $ 2-3 per year in wasted energy...

  I had my ATV3 set to never sleep for 4 years.  My new ATV4 has been set to never sleep since the day of release.  Some HomeKit devices are controlled via wifi, others are Bluetooth. But only those with bluetooth control require the hub to stay "on".
