  Your music is on iTunes?  Please convert your file into WAV version using iTunes, and then import that WAV version in the Premiere Elements project using the first elements add Media/files and folders.

• Adding media: camera not recognized

  I use a camera Canon Vixia series (HF?) and adding media to first elements 11. I start PE 11, then plug the camera telling me don't not to unplug the USB or power cord or switch modes. This far, please? I click Add media and select the camcorder HDV but EP 11 says that it cannot find the camera. Other camera options have the same result. Import of files and folders seemed to work but forced me to keep the camera connected to the PC all the time that I worked on the video. When I unplugged the camera, EP 11 said that the media has been disconnected.   You don't need Imagemixer import this video from the camcorder to your computer. In fact, you're better off using Premiere Elements, if you intend to edit with Premiere Elements.

  But or do I go into menu the camcorder while it is in playback mode and set it to port the cam drive or SD card on your computer. As I said, I have one just like it and that's what you need to do or no program will be able to get the video from the camcorder to your computer.

• First elements Timecode.cpp - 1014 error when adding media

  I think I solved this problem.

  I have a number of external USB connected, for example, hard drives, webcams, mouse, keyboard etc., devices so I unplugged individual devices until I found that the Error 1014 is more appeared when adding media.  I plugged the other USB devices back in but kept the last disconnected device and can now add media from my miniDV via firewire.

  I don't think we can let off the hook here PE11, since I had no problems with USB so far and each capture freeware program that I tried did not have a video capture problem I had plugged in any USB device.

  The problem is that the same folders of same location SAN on machines (Mac or PC) are okay and don't delay as described above.  Y at - it a cache or something that is fouling the waters?  Am I missing some sys on this particular machine maintenance?  All this looks good on this machine.

  Any thoughts are appreciated.  I searched but not found much, do not know what terms to use.

  How much do custom presets, you added to the SOUL now? There is a problem that we have seen where a large number of custom presets can slow down the SOUL, especially in the areas you describe.

• help adding media

  I use something called Vuze to download movies on the web. (there is a BITTORENT application). Well, last night, videos download ok and infact, I burned a DVD and it plays ok on the tv. (Vuze gives you 1 free burn on a dvd, then you will pay) files down as an .avi file, and that's exactly what 'windows explorer' says they are, but when I try to add one of these files downloaded in PE, it appears as only an audio file. (you know, we got the speaker little next to the file name icon in 'available media'. sounds like Vuze is playing with the file isn't it?.) I want to burn the dvd of PE and avoid paying Vuze for burning. did I miss something or I'm s.o.l.?

• Windows Media Player 11 Date added function - please stop repeating the date for EACH file.

  I have been using Media Player 9, decided to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11, and the only thing I can not stand on Player 11 is how it sorts Date added media files.  In Player 9 when I chose the column Date added, the program would list all the files on a given under a SINGLE date.  With Windows Media Player 11 it lists EACH file with a date so that instead of see Tuesday, December 14, 2010 once and then listing all of the files under it, I see Tuesday, December 14, 2010 about twenty times.  I download podcasts once a week and dump it on my phone, but it's a worry now.  Is it possible to stop Windows Media Player 11 to repeat the date again and again and force him to the date that the list only once?  Think back to Player 9.  Alex

  It's design in Windows media player 11 and it is also included in Windows Media player 12.

  However, you can uncheck this option, follow the steps below:

  a. open windows Media player

  b. right-click on one of the sorted column

  c. click Choose column

  d. uncheck data added

• iTunes playlists/media, missing since the update of the sierra

  It will be difficult to explain, but my Mac threw a fit when I updated for sierra.  Initially, I lost my entire library.  It's on an external drive and sierra seemed to point to the default library.  Called Apple and they said the "file multimedia iTunes was missing.   Sharp itunes for the external drive and he could not see.  Probably because of the missing multimedia iTunes file.  Took an hour of round Mobile files and the technician left me with the items to copy and said "that should do it."  After that a few hours I received a message that the hard drive was full!  Somehow he had copied to files and duplicate the hard disk.  All my playlists were too with the counties of game and bookmarks missing from TV etc.   Some worked me and somehow got all this back and forth, the whole lot, but now I have 2 files on the external HARD drive.  the one with the real files (less the multimedia file mentioned previously).  The other file has files itl etc. and the iTunes media inside as well as the illustrations, BUT in the preferences folder, the library is pointing to the folder which has just the files in it and NOT all the info in there library database.   It works, what's more to say apples, fix, but it's a weird way of working and im about to move my library to a new drive and I see bad to come.  Can I move the two files to new HARD drive? If yes how it will find my playlist information and files when they are distributed in 2 files.  My apologies for what is long. Thanks for the pointers

  Preferences do not "point" on location of media except to say iTunes to put whatever it is added from this point, the to this place. The only thing pointing to the location of media is each individual line in the .itl file entries.  It seems to me that you used to have a shared library with multimedia files on a drive along with the rest of the library support on your disk files inside.  You do not specify what has happened when you "lost" your library.  If you say that you lost playlists and counters that it sounds to me like you are creating a new library (.itl) starting with a white and adding media to him to get a stand-alone library the way things normally are.  Personally, I wish that you had come here first because we probably could have cured it all in 5 minutes, being a little more than a power - a by-the-book mindset. There is probably an easy fix, but now everything has been confused by you and Apple apparently trying to get everything back up to the main drive I don't know where we are.

  You have a backup from before doing the update?  You still need a backup.  If you do then things likely to find without too much problem.

  Are your files on the external hard drive always as they were before?  You have two folders in library in your music folder? You must be old. Try starting iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and when you are prompted to select the .itl file in the old folder.  This is the file 'pointing' for your multimedia files on the external hard drive and containing of playlists, ratings, date added, etc.

  Your computer reads the internal memory and the card as two different physical disks slot - which is what they are. He won't add them.

  In MSC mode - mode basic USB - your computer should show two successive letters like E: SANSA FUZE disks and removable disk F:.  (Or F: and G:, etc..) Sansa Fuze is the internal memory. Removable disk is the card.  You can put the songs in one or the other.

  But everywhere where you put the songs, the "rocket" list them. If you have good ID3 tags, you will not have to navigate to the file - you should be able to find by artist, Album, song, etc.

  You need these folders to navigate and choose the image you want to display. If a photo you want to see is not listed, it is likely stored in an unusual place.

  How to add pictures, music and videos from Media Center.

  1. on the Start screen, roll down for tasksand click settings.

  2. click on the Library Configuration, and then select Add folder to watch.

  3. Select the location you want to add to:

  (a) Add folders on this computer

  (b) Add folders shared from another computer

  (c) Add folders from two locations

  4 navigate to the folder (s) you want to include, select them and click Next.

  5. click Finishand then click OK when you are prompted.

  6. you can continue to use Media Center while your library is updated.

  7. Once finished the newly added media should be available through the image library.

  Original name? If you change an unregistered playlist, then it doesn't have a name yet. It is quite normal that you must enter a name when you click on save the list for the first time. The next time you save, you will not have to enter a name more (because then it's not playlist not registered).
