Addition of playlists

OK, I'm able to make my rocket to recognize that I have added playlists, using playlists I create in Winamp, however when I open the playlist in my rocket, it shows as completely empty. How can I get the playlists to work? I use Ubuntu.

There are many posts on this already, do a search for 'm3u '.  Also look in the forum of Clip (playlists work the same on both).

Short answer is that the paths in the playlist are very likely not correct. The paths must be based on the location of the m3u file.

BTW, how do you use Winamp with Ubuntu?

So, what led up to it is:

1 problems with the device for a long time.

    2. Finally studied and found the latest firmware and update the device. This fixed some problems, which is excellent, but caused worse problems.

    3. I was getting: "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. AHA! I think that I thought about it. I deleted all files in the Cache files of Player\Transcoded of AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media and now everything is sync again.

He always does this weird thing once again. When the screen is black and I'm listening to something, if I hit the ring of command, as for example, hit the screen do not necessarily come back. I didn't know there was such thing before this problem.

  • E280 v2 plays a track and returns to the menu music

Hello.  I bought a v2 e280 a few weeks ago, and the unit worked fine until yesterday.  I use Windows Media Player 11, and XP v2 and WMP 11 both recognized my e280 each time, until yesterday.  The problems are many, but the main thing I notice is that when I select a playlist for playback, my e280 will play a track (usually the first one) and then he comes back to the music menu.  When I try to pass through the screens of reading to see the next song, I won't get it even the screen (it justs gives options Timer, EQ, and album art).  Forward > | button has stopped working properly as well.  I have the old firmware 03.01.11A and tried to update the firmware.  My PC stopped recognizing my e280 yesterday as well but I couldn't understand how to upgrade the firmware without this recognition.  Now the power button for 15-20 seconds just seems also to power on then off.  Oh, and I removed all the tracks in my GoList, thinking that maybe the problem.  But that solves nothing.

And when I say it worked fine until yesterday, I mean it sync with WMP11 as a breeze, addition of playlists and titles I had created in WMP11, read playlists with random and repetition, and had no problem with the music downloaded on Amazon or CD.  Until yesterday.

Did you add any music or do something different with the unit yesterday?

The 1st thing you'll want to do is update the firmware. This can solve the problem in its entirety, but even if it is not it will make it easier to deal with. In addition, the update adds a nice touch and bug fixes. You can read "what's new" in the post firmware.

Check out this post for instructions on upgrading your f/w. There is a link to the version firmware inside post. Let us know what has changed or is the same, after that, you (and also if you have said or done anything, just before this happened that could have caused the problem).

  • 'Add to playlist' addition of bad songs

I am running iTunes 12.3.2.35 (says that iTunes is the latest version) on Windows 10.  I imported a few tens of my CD.  All music works as expected with respect to the addition of individual songs to a playlist, with the exception of a single album.

When I downloaded the album from the Talking Heads ' Stop Making Sense, "songs imported with the title of the album" Stop Making Sense: Special Edition [Live] "and have been listed as 'Alternative'."  But when I add the pieces to the same playlist, I added more songs to (successfully), I get rather different, and these versions versions added to my library with the icon cloud indicating that I can upload them.

The songs "Heaven", "thank you for sending Me An Angel", "found a job", "Burning Down The House", "Making Flippy Floppy", "swamp", "once In A Lifetime", "Take Me To The River" and "Crosseyed and painless" all added as coming from an album titled "Stop Making Sense (special edition) [Live]" (note the lack of a colon and parentheses added).  They are listed in the 'Rock' instead of 'Alternative' genre, and they all "(live)" on the end of the song titles.  Yet once, they are automatically added as separate in my library, and songs are those added to my playlist.

The song "What A day as a summer" is added from the same album titled differently, but with "(live edit)" added the title of the song. "

Where it gets really weird, what with the following songs:

'Psycho Killer' is added from the album "CBGB (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Deluxe Edition]" in kind "Soundtrack.  This version is shorter than the one that I own 4 seconds.

"Slippery People" is added after the album "Speaking In Tongues" in the genre of "Pop".  It is 01:06 longer and is the studio version instead of the live version from Stop Making Sense.

"Life During Wartime" and "best friend" added end of the album 'The Best of Talking Heads' and are also versions of studio with different lengths.

"This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" is added after the album "Speaking In Tongues (Deluxe Version)" and is also the studio version (and a different length).

I don't own the soundtrack at CBGB.  I don't own any version of "Speaking in tongues."  And I do not have 'The Best of Talking Heads'.  I have not bought these individual songs on iTunes.  Why it gives me these versions of these songs when I do not have?

Finally, "Genius Of Love" (performed by Tom Tom Club on Stop Making Sense) is added to my playlist of the studio album 'Tom Tom Club' such as recorded by Tom Tom Club, owned by me.

Weirder still, if I add one of the songs several times, the same incorrect version is added to my list of reading and my library several times, warning me that I add duplicate to the playlist songs.

So why is iTunes refusing to add these specific songs for specific CD I imported to my playlist and rather adding replacements is not necessarily the same as the time my playlist and my library, for free?

I guess you have music Apple or iTunes game. The two services to attempt to match what's in your library with what is in the iTunes Store. When they get it wrong, it can be difficult to store.

  • Import playlist iTunes...

    Hi all

    I just tried to import playlist iTunes from another mac and got this message;

Some of the songs in the file "Music.txt" were not imported because they could not be found.

I have two macs, and I keep the music on each on a separate hard drive.  The content each hard drive is almost identical, apart from a few additional albums I added a hard drive and will add finally the second hard drive.

All ideas and solutions grateful received.

A playlist is only a text list of titles and their properties, not the real media.  Is it playlist import?  On my version of iTunes playlist tells iTunes to get the media to the location of the library on the original drive, so it won't work unless the player is connected.

  • Lack of music into playlists after iCloud question yesterday

    HI -.

Yesterday, there was a problem with iCloud in which connections with the Apple's music have been interrupted. After that the problem was apparently solved, I now double playlists and all the tracks in the playlists are not there, a few, in some cases only 1. This is the same experience on my macbook, iMac and iPhone. I disconnected and folder, synchronize my iCloud, on or off the option of Apple's music library. I have tried these things on all 3 devices and and still not see the tracks. All my songs are in my library and all my playlists are there... it's just all the tracks are not in playlists is the addition of double playlists (and even those who do not match between the two.

I replaced my file of itl iTunes library with the file since yesterday morning and when I restart iTunes, I can see the tracks that should be in playlists, but they are grey and the iCloud library begins to update, all the tracks again disappear and playlists double return.

Called Apple support and talk to a counselor and Advisor of sr and they couldn't help. If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful.

If this happens again, check the status for the Apple System Support page > https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

  • Use a playlist as for what a smart playlist

I 4158 songs that I'm trying to manage and how I put it in place, it is very heavy to add any additional music. I have 1 playlist that has every song, and then another which is the same thing but only 3 4 and 5 star songs, then another which is only 4-5 and then another that is only 5. The first playlist is hand sorted in function a lot of different things and the others are similar, but without the songs that do not match the requirement of the coast. As it is right now if I want to add a song it's 5 star I have to add to all 4 playlists, and then drag it to the correct place in each of them. I was wondering if I could use the order of the first playlist that has all the songs to manage 3 other smart playlists with restrictions aside. The order of these playlists is paramount and I can't have itunes order it by something else that the order I put in place for the first playlist. Is there a way to accomplish what I'm asking?

    Double Saga

Sorry, but there isn't.  A smart, has another list of reading reading list does not inherit from the order of the original.  Once the smart playlist is formed, you can sort it by any column heading.  But any other command is a manual procedure.

  • How to duplicate a playlist in itunes 12.4?

How can I duplicate an existing selection into a single folder so I can have the same playlist in another folder where it does not yet exist?  Example: I have a playlist called 'My favorites of Flamenco' in a folder called 'World Music '. I want a playlist second, identical in a folder called "Spanish music.

How can I do without re - create a new playlist, song by song, in the second folder? This seems like an obvious thing, we want to know for iTunes, but research in the knowledge base of Apple and the community of El Capitan are not coming up with anything except how to remove the unwanted songs double and playlists, that is not my problem.  Thanks for any information out there!

I don't think that there is some other way to make a new playlist where you want an addition to the content from one to the other.  If you want the new playlist are kept synchronized with each other, you can make a smart playlist containing the content of the first playlist.

  • Can I loop a playlist in the music?

I have a program tomorrow where I need a loop at all times a Playlist of the songs of the birds. I did some research online and find answers on how a single song on a loop, how a video loop and a loop in iTunes, but nothing on the way to a playlist on my iPad in a loop. Is it still possible?

How I normally looped a playlist is the addition of the playlist next a bunch of times. So add a certain number of times how long he needs to last and how long the playlist in fact

  • Playlist invisible semi?

I have a playlist with audio books folder in individual playlists inside as shown below:

    Audio books (folder)

    > Languages (folder)

    > Book 1 (playlist)

    > Book 2 (playlist)

    > Narnia (folder)

    > Book 3 (playlist)

    > Book 4 (playlist)

    > Book 5 (playlist)

    > Book 6 (playlist)

And so on that he will. Before iTunes has changed lately, I could see all this in the topic 'music '. Now, it shows in the 'Music' and 'Audiobook' of the form (very convenient!). However, considering that the "Audiobook" section has everything, 'Music' is missing news playlists & files, I've added since the change as well as standalone playlists in the folder of audio books (books 5 & 6).

Also, I synced my iPod Classic. Everything appears normal on this subject. It's just the "Music" section on iTunes.

Should I just wait for another update? He worried a little that other things could disappear...

Show your music library.  In the sidebar, click the heading of the selections.  Now you have the ability to view only the playlists related to music or all selections.  You want to view all the playlists.  Click on the header of playlists and set it to all of my Playlists.

NOTE: Your other libraries also have this option.  My guess is that your library of audio books is set to display all the playlists, and your music library is set to show only related to music playlists.

If I misunderstood your problem description, thanks for posting back with any additional details.

  • Not all the songs in a playlist are synced to iPod nano

I checked a checkbox to sync a playlist consisting of 13 songs to my iPod shuffle, but only 2 of them are synchronized.

Screenshot of a playlist in iTunes: https://i.imgur.com/V5MJEx6.png

Screenshot of a playlist on iPod shuffle: https://i.imgur.com/4k1q5Gk.png

Evidence any reading list is checked to be synchronized: https://i.imgur.com/B8Kp5Dt.png

Listen to songs in iTunes itself on my computer. I would definitely say no songs are in their "native" to iTunes format, since I had to download from youtube and convert them to iTunes, but they're there and playeable, so I'm expecting to be transferred.

Is this a known problem and how would I fix it? Thank you!

I would definitely say no songs are in their "native" to iTunes format, since I had to download from youtube and convert to iTunes

All the songs that do not synchronize these converts are songs?  That do sync the two aren't these songs converted?

In iTunes, see list of reading, do a right click on one of these songs that are not in sync, and then read the information.  In the info window, go to the file tab.  That said it for the type and bitrate?

In addition, the file Info tab, find location.  She gives a file path to the location of the song on your disk file, or should I say iCloud?  If she says iCloud, the song is not stored locally, so it does not sync.  And since these are not purchased songs from iTunes Store, IF they are only in iCloud, they must be in your music to iCloud library.  If would be important to know if yourmusic to iCloud library emanates a subscription to Match iTunes or Apple's music.

  • Music and playlists suddenly disappeared?

Hello, I opened my iTunes this morning and I find that I only about 100 songs of my 80 GB of music. The songs that do not appear in my library seem to be in the clouds where there is a symbol of download of cloud beside them. If I click on "Get Info" for the song, no location is displayed. I opened the iTunes preferences and check the location of my music and that's okay... All my music is in this place, the files are still on my computer but not in iTunes. In addition, all my playlists are gone too. Help!

Preferences didn't tell iTunes where to look for the media, it doesn't mean that iTunes where to store the data added from there on.

Launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the iTunes folder (assuming that you are using the default settings).  iTunes does not normally lose to this place, unless you use a library on another drive, but since you have not mentioned that at the beginning I must assume that you are using the default configuration.

  • Used to synchronize some titles in the Playlist?

I hope someone can restore my sanity. I recently signed up for music apple and wanted to add a few old songs to a playlist. There are about 30 songs, and then I tried to sync them to my Apple Watch. All titles in the playlist are downloaded on my iPhone. However, there are three songs that do not appear to Sync? More precisely-Sweet Emotion (Aerosmith), Psycho Killer (Talking Heads) and Big Shot (Billy Joel). But since it was in a greatest hits albums, maybe there is a problem... but even after adding them to my list of the original albums (toys in the attic, the 52nd Street and the talking Heads 77). Used to synchronize the SAME SONGS.  Why?  Any ideas?

It can help to experiment with the addition of problematic tracks to your playlist synchronized one at a time.

  • AppleScript: Select the audio files in the Finder, to create playlist

So, I have modified this Applescript courtesy of WoodenBrain and tried to deconstruct to use. What I need to do, is to be able to select the audio 3-4 files in the Finder, then contextually, select the function "Add to iTunes Playlist", that iTunes ask me for the name of the playlist, create playlist and add files. The script below which realizes, but has an additional step that allows you to select available playlists. I want to remove and don't have iTunes adds the music files to the newly created playlist.
