I installed these files for win2000 even if im using xp-
tosacp2k.exe
w2kdpsd1.exe
w2kpwrx1.exe
z426utl2.exe

I followed the installation instructions (previous utilities uninstall and reboot after each installation).

the power watch tab options with sliders for energy savings, but they have no effect.

is it possible to lower the brightness with this laptop using xp?

Hello

As far as I know for Portege 7020 Toshiba support W95, W98, and NT, and there are no drivers or utilities for XP.

It was the bad idea to install various things. It cannot function without a few problems.
Sorry, but I think there is no way to properly use XP on this machine.

I have recently installed Windows 10 on my MBP late 2011 (officially unsupported, I know). in AS3 you can do this by using the 'brightness' of the class color property, as in:

    Import fl.motion.Color;

    var color = new Color();
    Color.Brightness = 0.5;

    myMC.transform.colorTransform = color;

(PS. the order is-1.0 and 1.0 negative to "compete", being "lighten" positve)

    Hello world

I recently bought a L45-B4182SM and I switched from Windows to Linux Mint 17 8.1. Everything seems to work properly. However, brightness (F3 and F3 keys) control do not work. I would like to know if anyone has faced this problem before, and if it is possible to fix it.

    Say hello to everyone.

    Hello

Under the windows keys F feature is controlled by special tool designed by Toshiba Toshiba utility feature key.
As far as I know Toshiba does not support Linux so these tools does not exist for Linux operating systems.

I m not Linux user, but I guess that there must be another (Linux option) option for the brightness adjustment.

  • Tecra A2 - view the FN keys to adjust brightness of the screen don't work

    Hello everyone,

I've just set up my old laptop TECRA A2 with a newer version of Windows XP (including SP3).
Everything works fine. The only problem is that I can't access my FN keys to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen.

I installed all the drivers and I recognized that the problem is a not good installed saver, although I downloaded the 'new' Power Saver for the TECRA A2.

After installation it still appears the message; "You have no access rights to access energy savings." Now, it's strange that I have logged in as administrator of the A2.

As I'm still struggeling with this problem I ask really help and support.
Everything else works fine and well, it's just this question that I am not able to adjust the brightness of the display.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Best regards

  • Cannot adjust brightness on Windows 10 Satellite L50-B-1LN

I have recently reinstalled Windows 10 and lost all the software supplied with the laptop Toshiba.

I reinstalled the graphics drivers AMD, the function key, the Toshiba Value added Package Toshiba desktop application (it only gave me the crib of the battery and the PC diagnostic tool), so I then manually found and installed the Toshiba system parameters and the utility HWsetup from Toshiba.

Straight after the 10th reinstalled Windows, keys Fn (volume, mode of flight etc.) worked when I pressed the Fn key, which was not what I wanted.

After you install the key Desktop App function each of the Fn keys worked without pressing the Fn key, in addition to the light high and low brightness, who did not work at all with or without the Fn key.

Not only they do not work with the keyboard, I can also adjust the brightness in any other way.

There is no brightness setting in power of control panel settings, and when I click on the battery icon in the taskbar (Windows 10), the brightness option is gray!

I don't know if the parameters of brightness already worked after reinstalled Windows 10, and if they did, I don't know at what time they stopped working.

I thought it might be when I installed the AMD driver, but I tried to uninstall it and it did not help. No more than put it back in place.

Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem?

    Hi Craig,.

Go to programs and features, uninstall the "Toshiba System Driver" package, and then reinstall the system found new Toshiba heredriver Package, this should solve the problem.

    Hope this helps,
    Z

I tried in vain to get the Fn keys to correctly adjust the brightness of my Vaio, I (using pure luck) has managed to get the Fn-F5/F6 to display the overlay of brightness that appears when I press them, but does not change. I also tried to use the cursor on the control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options... It also does nothing. I put on Sony and AMD's latest drivers for the graphics card.

  • Adjusting Brightness and contrast on the Satellite L550-113

I am a user with low vision and I think buy the Satellite L550-113, but before I do that I need to be sure that the adjustable screen brightness/contrast very easily, preferably through the orders of material as opposed to via the control panel. I also need to make sure that we can do (i.e. too dull for a non-disabled user) rather dull screen.

Could someone give advice on how to adjust the screen contrast and brightness on Toshiba L550-113? In addition, the screen has a glossy or matte finish?

General information about the quality and ease of use of the screen will be very useful and much appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi mate!

Yes, the brightness of the screen can easily adjust via the FN keys. You have to press FN + F7 to increase the screen brightness and FN + F6 to decrease the brightness of the screen. In addition, in Vista power management you can also adjust the brightness of the screen and save settings for profiles of different powers and block or power mode.

AFAIK Satellite L550 has a brightness screen like any other portable satellite.

    I hope I could help a bit! :)

  • Could not adjust brightness of the display on Satellite A200 PSAFCL

Can someone tell me where I go to update my BIOS, im currently using 1.90v.

I want to update it's because I can't adjust the brightness of the screen.
I can't find it on the power option in the Panel.

    Someone help me pls?

    Hello

The series of Satellite A200 PSAFCL is certainly not a European model, and therefore, you will not find any drivers or updates to the BIOS of Toshiba Europe page.

It looks like a device designed for the Asian market.
I found this page from the PSAFCL A200 series Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-Asia.com/notebooks/viewConfig.jsp?configID=1637

    Maybe it helps.

By the way; If you want to use the original operating system preinstalled, so everything should function. Also a screen brightness control.

  • PC laptop Pavilion 15: cannot adjust brightness on laptop

Hello everyone. I have a laptop HP (2.5 years - granted, it ages )

The thing with it is that I can adjust is no longer the brightness on the screen, which means that it's stuck on its maximum intensity all the time. Now that it's pretty hard on the battery, which is vital for me because of my studies.

I had the problem once before, which was resolved with an update of the site Web of AMD GPU driver. Unfortunately, this time an update did not turn. I tried to find the official firmware via HP Support Assistant and the HP Web site. I can't find anything on the Web site manually, and the automatic analysis is delivered with an error. HP Support Assistant claims that all drivers are fully updated (I know at least what the GPU driver).

I am running Windows 10, where the brightness worked previously, but randomly stopped working.

The number of my PC product is E2T51EA #UUW and my BIOS version is F.35 (11/11/2014)

I hope that someone of you can help out me!

    Thanks in advance.

    Cordially - V Mads.

Update - I actually found a solution to this problem.

After these forums for quite som time roaming, I found another post (among many others) with this problem. This particular post had a response with the following solution:

Try to shoot to the top of your Device Manager in the Start Menu.  Expand monitors , and then right-click on the Generic PnP monitor.  Then click on Activate.  Let me know how it goes.

After that, it worked immediately. Thanks anyway

    Have a great weekend!

I have problem of my screen brightness adjustment. When I do it manually by pressing the f2 and f3 keys, there is no change in the brightness of the screen.

Even when I try to change the brightness settings, there is no change in brightness

    Hi AG_8055,

Sorry for the delay in response. The problem is usually cause by the update did not finish correctly. As a hiccup in the information. Once you refresh the system she refreshes the system and ensures that the updates have been made.

    Hope that helps to explain.
