Administrative problems

OK, so I want to download the new Windows 10 and whenever I try to click on the application it will NEVER load. So I went to settings, Control Panel, system and security, windows update, and then update but the problem is, a notification keeps popping up saying "some settings are managed by your system administrator" but the thing is that I am my own system administrator. Help, please! I do not understand why technology is starting to become so bad!

Hello sandrine,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

You can activate hidden build-in the admin account and check the status.

Press Windows key + R , and type control userpasswords2 , and then click OK

Select the user name, and then click Properties

Click on group membership

Ensure that the administrator is selected

Also, click other , and then select administrator in drop-down list

Click apply then OK

Restart the computer and check

If the problem continues, enable the hidden administrator account and check.

Press the Windows key + X , and then click prompt (Admin)

Type the following command and press enter

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

To exit the command prompt, type Exit and press enter or click X at the top right of the same window.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • System administrator problem

I am trying to download ITunes, but after I receive that day, I read "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." I am the system administrator, but I can't solve this problem. Any suggestions? Thank you... M.

You may have a more serious problem which is malware:

    Download ESET Removal tool
Burn it to a CD or create a USB bootable thumb with her:
    http://www.eset.com/us/download/utilities/
ESET are Live is a live Linux distribution which can scan malware and clean infected files. It runs from a CD/DVD or a USB device, regardless of the host operating system, but has a direct access to the system disks and files. This will eliminate the threats which, under normal conditions, can be impossible to remove.
Download and create your ESET are Live drive
You can also try to do a system restore before you start experiencing this problem:

There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

  • Administration problems.

    Hello Sir,

I use windows vista Home premium and I am the administrator. I don't know why sometimes I am blocked and given the message to the approval of the administrator of the computer. I turned on my guest and my account is protected by a password. I decided once save and delete files from my C: drive, but I have been restricted. A notification came that I need to contact my administrator in order to save or delete files in this player.

I would also like to restrict the opening of my readers, I mean my drive C: and E: invited on my computer.

I would be very grateful if my issues above are given to solutions. Thank you.

    1. it's the way Vista works. You have an administrator account (which is a bad habit, see "General recommendations" below) but you still need approval super user to access protected areas of the operating system.

2 disable comments once again. Do not use the guest account, you see in the user accounts applet in Control Panel. The guest account is a special system account, not one for when you feel hospital. For some reason, it is disabled by default in Windows XP, Vista, Linux, Unix and OS X.

    On TechNet:

"The guest account is intended for users who need temporary access to the system. However, if this account is activated, a security risk may exist because an unauthorized user could have anonymous access to the system through this account. »

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb418978 (TechNet.10) .aspx
So if you have enabled comments, turn it off now and create a standard/Limited (Vista, XP Professional/XP Home) for your visitors. Call the new user account to something like "visitor".

    3. you cannot prevent an another user to access the disk system (c :)). Restrict you users in defining of the passwords and permissions on folders.
Vista identity management and access - TechNet - http://tinyurl.com/6fncvr control

    4. the general recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Impossible to uninstall the applications due to administrative problems.

    Hi, Ahmed.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    Good answer:

    1. what applications you are trying to uninstall?

2 is the issue limited to one application or several apps?

I suggest that you try to uninstall the application in Mode without failure.

    1. click on the link below and follow the steps to go to the safe mode

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

    2. press the Windows icon and select Control Panel.

    3. follow the steps in the link below to uninstall the program.

    Uninstall or change a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=Windows-7

If you think that your system is infected, you can run an antivirus scan and check.

I hope this helps. Please respond if you have related research.

  • Problems with the WLAN configuration

I can connect my raspberry using PuTTY on a static IP, but it does not work using WLAN.

WLAN using my router sees a device no is not an IP address, which I suppose Raspberry.

I guess that the tutorial is wrong, as it provides the same IP for the eth0 and wlan0, and it does not show the 'network' line in the section wlan0.

    Or I do something wrong?

Here is the final solution to my problems. At the same time, there had been several configuration errors:

    1. I provided the two devices, eth0 and wlan0, the same IP address, as has been requested by the guidelines of Tom. Of course, this won't work. I had to provide separate IP addresses as @stainsb correctly pointed.
    2. My router was set to "isolate the wlan" which means that wlan is routed to the internet but not lan. Certainly to be able to communicate between lan and wlan, there must be no insulation. So I dropped this security feature.
    3. My router was set to "restrict the mac addresses" which means that only devices can connect to WiFi. Of course, I had to relax this restriction by adding the MAC of the WiFi dongle to the list of allowed devices.

With this three changes I use eth0 and wlan0 successfully at the same time!

BTW, it was not necessary or use wpa pairwise or wpa-group, as suggested by @khooke_acn.

Thanks to all and sorry for bothering with my stupid administrative problems!
