Toshiba L300 BCI administrator problems

I just got one of these books and I found that even though I have an administrator account, I don't have admin rights.
This means that an error message appears each time I want to play Halo: THIS multiplayer mode, saying: "make sure you have admin privillages.
This also applies whenever I want to change my hard drive and when I use winrar to unzip programs out there.

It is said that "the system cannot find the file specified" or "access denied." Any help I can get will be much appreciated, thanks!

Is your laptop preinstalled with the factory settings or you have installed Windows XP Home clean?
I mean this game is for Windows XP Home edition. Am I right about that?

The fact is: with factory setting you do not have this limitation and you can use winrar or winzip with no problems.
I use it for years and I have never, but never seen anything like that.

  • Satellite L300/BCI: How to get the Microsoft Office 2007, Google earth, etc.

Today, I bought one of these laptops Satellite L300/BCI
When I turned it on it took about 5 minutes, make an installation after a while I accidentally pressed ESC while piking he then restarted the computer
as soon as switched on, it worked but it was missing:

    -Microsoft Office 2007
    -google earth
    -Google Toolbar
    -Google Desktop
    -Google Picasa

Is their anyway for me to get these programs back?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi mate

Just a question; are you sure that this application must be installed on your laptop computer at 100%?
It's really hard to imagine that you have removed or deleted from the disk only by pressing the ESC key

But if these applications have been pre-installed, so you should be able to get back the system restore to factory settings.
I mean by installing the image of Toshiba.

It seems that it is an Australian model of laptop. Is this good?

Well, I'm not quite sure how it works on Australian laptops, but I think the procedure should be explained in the manual of user m! Check it!

But in a few discussions such procedure has been explained and some have said that you must press the 0 key immediately after switching on laptop.

However, manual control of the user, then you would be 100% sure how it works!

I don't understand what you're saying about a 'mobile activation in my system option.

    Here are the steps to follow in that link I gave you;

    SECOND OPTION:

    1. open the Start Menu.

2 in the white line (search) box, type slui.exe 4 and press enter.

  • Toshiba Gigastore 250 GB: problems to delete files

    Hi all

I can't delete files from my Toshiba Gigastore more. Whenever I try, the following message appears: "unable to remove. Access denied. Source is probably always open. "

However, the files are not in use when I try to delete. I tried to delete after a reboot and tried as admin. Nothing works.

The problem started to occur after the Gigastore has been disconnected from the computer (hot plugout).

My OS is W2K SP4 (with the latest security updates). The GigaStore didn't work properly from the beginning, because it is not possible to disconnect the USB when the system is running (this problem is known and described in the user manual).

Howe can I overcome the problem without reformat the drive? Maybe it's possible to boot linux and delete files on the GigaStore? Is this desirable, that linux does not seem to get along well with NTFS?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Led

    Hello

I'm not very familiar with the Toshiba Gigastore.
Well have you tried to remove the USB port on the Device Manager and then reinstall the drivers?
I have never tried this solution, but maybe this will help.
    Please check for this possibility.

  • Satellite L300 - boring loading problems

    Hello world.

I've got my Satellite L300 nice for about 23 months now, and I absolutely love it.
There is just one problem: my PC is not loading properly. There are always about a 1/50
lucky, I have to play with the inputs and output for all 5-10 minutes each
I plug it in time. I had this problem before (about two months ago) where I sent it
Back to the store and they fixed. I was able to pick up there is still almost a month
    and everything worked properly again.

It's really, really frustrating and I hope there is a solution simple sorta.
Anyone who is familiar with this problem and to know what exactly is the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

This kind of technical problems, there is no simple solution.
If you have a serious issue with load problem, it is probably related to electronic power supply and it must be checked by authorized personnel only.

Tell me but honestly: what can you fix these problems?

  • Toshiba ciolour lcd TV problem

I have a Toshiba LCD TV model 39 L D-2333 number 14K 06154 color has. This device no longer works correctly. It was bought from the supermarket Sainsburys in the United Kingdom and operate without problem for a little more than 12 months. He is now out of warranty. Sainsburys do not wish to know the problem. Toshiba has just say that they are not interested unless they get an engineer's report. This TV has been configured to operate through sky. Without warning, the game began to search for channels (presumably for other channels from the sky). The scan operated until it reaches 100%. At that, he returned to start the scan working again until he again reached 100%. Yet once it restarted the scan. The remote refuses to intervene, and none of the manual buttons on the unit itself works and does not intervene. I unplugged the unit and left for 30 minutes, reconnected to the sky and lit. The same thing happened again - he has started to digitize, 100% and have finished, returned to the analysis all over again and so on. Yet once the remote control would not not work a manual button. I unplugged the sky. I then linked to an air Freeserve and lit. Yet once he began immediately to scan. Hoping that he could complete the scan and return to normal operation it scanned at 100% and returned again to scan all over again. The remote only, or the buttons work and the unit fails to function as a TV. Did I miss something in the process or someone has a solution to the problem (apart from switch to scrap)?

Is there anyone out there with no help to give about my problem?

  • Satellite Pro L300-128 - startup problem

    Hi all

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L300-128 GB specification, that has a Celeron M550 running Windows XP and a construction date of the end of June 2008. I have a problem with the switching on of the machine if it has been turned off for a long period of time.

Basically, if the AC cable is inserted into the computer laptop and plugged in, the green light turns on, but pressing the button it does nothing. By the process of elimination, I have found that, after a short period of time (say 15-30 minutes) if (and only if) the AC cable is then removed from the laptop, it lights up then!

Plug the AC cable, while the laptop is on, do not cut the machine and charge the battery as usual. The battery life seems very good, if a little short (say 1.5 - 1.75 hours when used "constantly").

If the computer is restarted, it lights again very well - if it is turned off and left for a few minutes, once again no problem. But, if she is not with the battery fully charged and left all night - it lights again in the morning.

Now, as a new machine, I'm wondering if the battery needs a long initial load (such as a mobile phone)? Nothing is said about it in the manual. I have not yet checked if the battery down completely himself during the night. I haven't run the battery to the laptop for a long time (say all day) to 'trickle charge '. I don't know if the period from 15 to 30 minutes to get the thing started is once again because the battery is completely discharged during the night (I need to check the BIOS to see if "Wake up we LAN/wireless" is activated)-anyone know how long a fully discharged battery must be charged before that the machine will let you start it?

Under the machine, there are two battery release buttons and it seems loose - I don't know if it's related, but can't see how. Moreover, when the question arose (during the first delivery the laptop), I removed the battery and tried power upwards of food, but nothing to do.

I ran all the software updates (chipset etc) I can find on the download page, the BIOS version is 1.40 (last) of the factory.

Any suggestions would be welcome before I have use the service of repair under warranty for the first time! I don't know if it is related to the fact that the power button seems to be a micro switch rather than a good button/switch in the conventional sense of the term, i.e. you can 'feel' it do something!

    Thank you very much
    Richard

    Hello

If you have purchased a new laptop, the battery is empty and needs to be charged in the first place.
You can also connect the adapter to the laptop while the battery is empty and the laptop should also lights up properly.
The laptop must also run without the battery and using only the AC adapter.

It should also be possible to put the laptop by pressing the power button for about a second, if this is not possible, a malfunction of the laptop could be possible.

In such cases, it s always advisable to contact the local ASP for a verification of the laptop.

I mean your laptop is under warranty and if something is not wrong with the machine so everything must be replaced free of charge

In my opinion, the laptop must be checked!

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 problems

Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 is usually a large equipment once it works! I have bought in December 2001 + additional 2 year warranty. Used every day for a business purpose - mainly on a desk anchored to the Port Replicator or inside-out of the office with WiFi.

Almost after a year I bought it - one of the memory locations died on the motherboard! A machine still worked OK - only on a slot with installed memory capacity! So the 256 MB of memory and motherboard have been replaced by September 2002.

Then the hard drive was noise - has been replaced as a guarantee somewhere in October 2004. So I thought that it is her - I have now a few years without problem again!

Yes - all of a sudden a few days ago, I closed the lid for a coffee brake and after that the machine woke up to a strange sleep - the screen flickered and a machine was muzzy! Like the previous night failures that occurred before that I thought that this restart will solve the problem! It s woke up without the support of the voice! And after that I discovered that the WiFi card is always on - no matter if you switch the button on or off! If the service said that probably the motherboard has not once again!

So, which brand and model to buy then?

    > And after that I discovered that the WiFi card is always enabled.
    > - no matter switch you on or off! So that the
    > service provided that said probably the
    > motherboard has yet again!

same thing with my nine M30 I bought last summer. I can't be able to turn off the WiFi keyboard functionality. the light is still on too.

  • Toshiba Tecra 8000, monitor problem

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Tecra 8000, there is a green line with a width of 1 pixel on the screen of my laptop which does not disappear. the laptop is almost 2 years old. is there a possibility that it could be repaired? Thanks in advance,
    Mark Kuiper

    Hello

interesting would be if the green line is permanently on the screen during startup or 'just' that Windows runs.

But never mind, the laptop Tecra series three-year warranty.

So in this case you can give it to a Toshiba repair for a control center upward.

    Good bye

  • Toshiba 39L4353DB software download problem

I have a Toshiba smart TV 39L4353DB who can not download the software updates from the internet (a BT home hub wireless 5).

    • Cloud services are working properly - YouTube, BBC iplayer, Twitter, RSS etc.
    • Network connection test pass each time.
    • Most long I left the 'download' TV is 24hrs.
    • I tried to download the latest update of the software/firmware on the site of toshiba, and with a key USB but the TV does not recognize.
    • When I finally put off the TV and turn it back on, it recognizes there is a update but just freezes on a box "software downloaded from the Internet, please wait...". »
    • Today (August 13), I tried a reset of the TV, but he's still frozen on the same dialog box.

A month ago that the TV has lost all its digital television channels, an area of the screen reported "No Signal". I returned the TV and everything was fine, but every time I turn on the TV channels are missing and I have will be resolved. I hope that this problem will be solved by a software/firmware update.

The TV is 17 months old. I mounted it on the wall about 2 months ago, but I don't see how this would have caused the problem.

Is there a known solution? Is someone having a similar problem? Any help appreciated gratefully.

    Richie

What SW version is running on your game? You said, you have ever tried USB update, but the update is not recognized.
What do you, to start the update? What format that you use for the USB key?

  • Driver Toshiba G450 with Vista32bit problem

    Hello.

I bought a Toshiba G450 phone with 3G modem. It is tiny and really well designed.

My computer is running with the 32-bit edition of Windows Vista.
I first installed default Wellphone software supplied with default CD packed. Installation of the software is OK, but when I'm launching Wellphone XT, it tries to install the drivers for the G450 and it fails with pilot HSDPA. On the Device Manager screen, it is said, "pilots is not designed for this platform.

So I dug a little short on this forum and read that I should use 3_7_671_33 version for Vista. So I downloaded suite url and launched the installation.

Setup does not work. In the end, I'm launching WellPhone XT, which begins to re - install the drivers. But when she fails with driver HSDPA.
On the Device Manager screen, it is said, "pilots is not designed for this platform. So I double click on the device and I try to update driver with HSDPA USB Modem\WellPhone XT\InstallDrivers\drivers\TOSHIBA\DRV_TOSHIBA_PIKE \WinVista folder, but it fails too.

Do you have some instructions to make this device work?

    Thanks in advance.

PS: With all due respect, It's a little discouraging to have a brand new, out of box material that does not work.

    Hey Buddy

To be honest I put t have a laptop Toshiba G450 and I never had the chance to test a. So I can't help you resolve this problem.

But a question: have you ever contacted an authorized service provider or operator of mobile telephony? In my opinion, they should be able to help you because most of the questions here are only on laptops and Windows so that you will not find any mobile phone experts here.

    Good luck!
And if you have solved your problem, you can post it here again. Maybe that other users are interested too, and so your thread might be useful. :)
