I tried to uninstall/cleaner tool for AAM... nothing helps. Tried to uninstall older versions of Photoshop to replace it with the new CC (which now I have no. installed PHOTOSHOP and I need!) and nothing has worked. I continually get "handler Application already running. Please wait for it to complete, and then try again. (11)"
Help, please
Hi sheakucenski,
What operating system are you using. In the case of Win 7 Please activate the hidden administrator account: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista / and try to install.
Please let us know if it worked.

Adobe Application Manager closes right on me--the ideas of how to run?
Just purchased Adobe CC for a year and clicked on the button to download my first app, only Adobe Application Manager (the latest version) to just quit on me. Tried to restart many times but it's always the same "Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly." Can someone please tell what could be the problem?
I tried to download Indesign, Photoshop and illustrator all separately on several occasions, but each time the same thing happens. This is the first time, I installed and tried to use Adobe Application Manager on any device.
I use an iMac with a lot of Ram etc. 10.9.4 OSX version
Thank you
Don't worry, I solved the problem. When you install the new CC products, Adobe does not automatically download the latest version of the Application Manager - so you must download separately and install it before you can download all the programs. Go here for Application Manager:

My Adobe application manager does not list the 2014 versions of basic programs. I need them for the work of my students, grade that my school is running these versions and I can't open my computer work.
Thank you for your help
I got it while you wait for the answer. The "Application Manager", it's not how they settle (how would I know that). I installed the application "Adobe Creative Cloud" and got the new versions.
He was confused because the Application Manager installed 4 Nov. Very recently the time! (but just before updating my OS to Yosemite, OK Duh). And of course the Yosemite changed the appearance and features of everything, including the present, so everything what I was doing which should be intuitive was less.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. Help, please. I had a trial version of Photoshop Elements before I bought it.
Hi Millieagain,
Stop the machine completely then launch it and try the installation again.
If that doesn't work, uninstall Photoshop elements trial using the cleaning tool: use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems
And download the product here: Download Photoshop Elements | 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

With the help of Adobe Application Manager for updating desktop applications?
Hello
I don't know if it's possible, but I can update desktop applications that I installed via Adobe Application Manager?
What I see is a list of the programs on the right and "Installed" or "install". Nowhere can I see a list of the updates available or applied.
However there are updates available, for example, I'm on Lightroom 4.1 and when I start it up it tell me that there is an update available. However following the link just takes me to an external Installer to download and run. Is there a method unified view/apply updates in the Adobe Application Manager? I've updated the MAO a day or two there as well so I'm sure I'm on the latest version.
I use Creative Cloud (CS6) on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.
Thank you
Tobias
Tobias Adobe Application Manager automatically detects updates for most of the Adobe Applications. In general, if you can ensure you have the latest version by going to help > updates in the application you are eager to update. For example, Photoshop Lightroom uses a mechanism separate from the Adobe Application Manager Update.

Adobe Application Manager is updating every time I start it.
I use Adobe Application Manager Mac OS 10.6.8 to manage my subscriptions Photoshop and InDesign. A few days back, Adobe Application Manager downloaded and installed an updated (to himself) and since then, whenever I open it, it installs an update (the message says "updating Adobe Application Manager"), and then asks for my password of Mac OS and then my Adobe ID and password. So, if I light 5 times a day, each time the same process will be repeated. It's so frustrating and unnecessarily consumes my internet bandwidth. All troubleshooting help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Adobe Application Manager is no longer used now to download and install applications on older operating systems.
Adobe Application Manager is automatically updated for the purposes of Office Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac OS X 10.7 or later and Windows 7 or later version.

Adobe Application Manager - download error
I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. I downloaded the Application Manager. I opened the Manager, connect, then the computer just by saying download error. Please contact customer support.
The application manager also does not appear in programs. I thought that if I uninstall and reinstall what might work, but I can't actually uninstall it.
Any ideas?
I use:
Windows 7 Business - Service pack 1
64-bit operating system.
Ok.. Here is how I solved this problem. This could be a help to anyone. In one of the forums there was advice for a problem where Creative Cloud connection constantly requested ID, which is what precipitated this problem with Application Manager. I uninstalled creative Cloud connection then:
I dragged my file opm.db by dragging on the destop. I then went to re-download Creative connection Cloud, which caused the Adobe Application Manager to launch ask for my credentials and instead of the dreaded mistake of downloading, it launched. This has created a new opm.db file, which apparently now allows application Manager to load and work.
On Mac, you can find the opm.db file located in this folder:
\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE -
Adobe Application Manager - if installation fails for the first of all the products of CS6 Cloud with note that "MAO is damaged and must be reinstalled" why not ARREST all the others download (which then also fail for the same exact reason!) AAM?
In countries like here (New Zealand) who still have restrictive limits on their downloads, this would be VERY USEFUL!
Cheers, Kevin
The error message stated that the MAA has been damaged and I should reinstall. However, I tried again (without reinstalling the AAM - I'm an optimist!) and all applications have now installed successfully.

The update is impossible - you are already running Adobe Application Manager...
I am on Mac OS 10.8.4. When I try to update InDesign CC to the latest version, Adobe Application Manager launches and gives me the following error:
Update failed
Updates cannot be applied
You already use Adobe Application Manager. Please close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before you apply the updates.
So, I leave the MAO, check that it does not turn in the activity monitor and then restart it. to get the same error message. I have not found a solution online, so I hope someone can help me to go beyond that.
Have Rfahl you tried to restart, and then applying the update again? If so and you still receive the same error, then you might want to try to install the update in Safe Boot mode. You can find more details for commissioning in a safe secure OS X Lion: start in safe mode - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4373.

InDesign CC will not open - stuck on "Please wait a moment" Adobe Application Manager.
I've updated InDesign CC to 2015 edition and now when I click on open, it takes me to Adobe Application Manager but then lies just on "Please wait a moment" with a spinning wheel. I left for several hours without change. I tried to shut down and restart the two CC from Adobe and InDesign and the same thing happens. I have out and back in again saved and the same thing happens. I am running OSX Yosemite.
I got this all day.
I found a solution...
running, click to close (very faintly, you will see a login under the white window screen).
When asked "Yes or no" click no... and rather than return to the State of the hanging, the hidden window comes forward - now, login and everything seems to proceed.
Hmm... OK - so it not let me login, now everything has gone... oh, here go us.
I AM!
