Adobe ID problem (and allowing them to computer)

Someone else just posted a similar question, but this subject seems to be closed. I have ADE on my desk for several years. I don't use it often, but I had several books on what I liked. Now, I have a nook and will want to probably use more often so I wanted to update. My user ID was an old defunct e-mail address and I wanted to change my ID to an existing address to avoid confusion.

I followed the instructions in the previous post and using CTRL-SHIFT-D I deleted my old ID and then I entered a new. Now I see that I can not access my books and more I can not re - authorize my PC with the new code.

Now that I reread the people of other post, I see that the answer said that will happen, so I was warned, but I acted too quickly.  So can I do to fix this stuff? My books are lost forever?

Even if I lost my books, I would have this installed and working properly. Thanks in advance

PS also a separate issue. Is there a manual for ADE? Where do you find information on controls such as the CTRL-SHIFT-D, who previously said?

To read your books, you need to use your old ID.

If you still remember the password for it, he any too much he's using an old email.

You can Deauthorize your computer and it reauthorize with your old ID.

Remove all devices that you have authorized with your new id (ctrl-shift-E to ADE with connected device) and reauthorize.

If you want to change the autour emails so that the old ID is associated with your new email, you can change the emails for identifiers.  If you want to do, do it before reauthoizing your computer.

  1. You must first log on to your new ID on the web and change his email to something different (probably doesn't even have a real email, not sure).  Now forget this new ID forever.
  2. You then close the session and connect to your old ID on the web and change his email to your new email.
  3. Now you should be able to save computers and devices with you old ID but new email.

To change the e-mail associated with an id see http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/changing-id-email.html

  1. Go to http://www.adobe.com.
  2. Click the login link in the upper right of the screen.
  3. Sign in using the existing email address and password.
  4. Click the user name in the upper right and choose my information.
  5. Change the email address (and the password if you like) and click
    save it my changes button.

If you have forgotten the password for the old ID and email doesn't exist like it, you need to contact Adobe support (live chat to http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html may be able to help)

F1 should give help on ADE.

It is pretty bad software, designed by a person without knowledge of the first user interface design principles (such as the discovery).

    This morning, I got a phone call from an Asian man, saying: he has worked with microsoft, I found it very difficult to understand what he was saying and to rehearse a lot, he mentioned "Alureon" and says that my computer is one of the computers on crash today... He then wen on say that they should do support remotely. to help solve the problem, stupidly and against everything I've known I have allowed him... .it all seemed very alarming... it said my computer was about to crash in a few moments and I had to buy the red shield to protect... I hung up, but they called back... ultimately I told them I wasn't buying any and at this point, he got quite angry and asked me why I was wasting his time. How can I check my computer to make sure they did not hurt? and they can access my computer later? I'm asuming that Microsft had nothing to do with it.

    Hello

    It's a scam.

    If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.

    If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

    And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

    Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

    Hello

    Yes, in fact, some of these services are safe, but not all of them. In fact, most of them is not. You must make very extensive research before considering allowing anyone access to your computer and should be used only as a last resort.

  • Problems with allowing ADE on computer

    OK, I do the steps according to the instructions. And I noticed a couple of other threads that have had the same problem. I tried all the steps that others have suggested. As the change of the time on the clock of my computer, close my firewall. I am running Windows 7 operating system and that is the message that I get if no matter whether I decide to allow:

    _ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 2011-08 - 10 T 10: 04:10 - 07:00 20 (1312995850000) % 20is % 20before % 202011-08-10 T 21: 36:22 - 07:00 % 20 (1313037382809_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 2011-08 - 10 T 10: 04:10 - 07:00 20 (1312995850000) % 20is % 20before % 202011-08-10 T 21: 36:22 - 07:00 % 20 (1313037382809)

    Help would be much appreciated? Thank you

    You didn't say if you have verified that the clock of your computer - just you

    continue to get the same message when you try to authorize it.  The

    definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expected

    a different result.

    If I understand correctly, the FAN part of the ADE is watching the clock on your

    system at the same time on the Adobe server.  If you the computer's time, date and

    time zone are not configured correctly, the approval process will not work.

    I am not a technician in Adobe, but for many years, I have worked in this DOCUMENT, it

    If displays the message tells you that "2011 - 08-10 at 10:04:10 - 07 in your"

    time zone is before 2011-08-10 at 21:35:22 - 07:00 in their time zone ', which '.

    is a true statement.  Time and date of your computer first expresses. Do not

    worry about the way time is expressed beyond the hour, minute and

    in the second place.  Computers take time much more than us humans do.

    My suggestion is to do what others have suggested.  Check the time, date and

    time zone on your computer and make sure that all three are correct.

    When a Windows 7 installation is done, you are prompted for this information, but if

    you bought your computer already set up, it is quite possible that he has the

    wrong information and you didn't know - nor does it make a difference in

    many of the applications that are running other than ADE.

    I hope this helps!

  • Strange problems and errors after that computer becomes inactive.

    From a few days ago, I think about 5, my computer has struggled with past idle. After 15 minutes of inactivity, the computer enters "idle" mode. It is usual. What is unusual, is that it starts to make a clicking noise, and the computer crashes. I have to stop. If I leave it to himself for a while, it goes to a blue screen.

    I scanned for virus, surveys the eyes of the ways to solve this problem and found nothing to one of the people. Having no idea of what it takes I reinstalled Vista. He seemed to have solved the problem, because I allowed him to go idle once and nothing happened. However after downloading the Vista update, the problem persisted. This time, the computer did not freeze completely upward on idle, but the clicking noise returned. It also continued the blue screen of death once.

  • Upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI / Adobe Reader XI and allowing the user's rights

    My business is a bit backwards on the software updates and I will ask for Adobe Reader XI thrust out company-wide since then allows the user to save a completed PDF form.

    Right now I use Acrobat X Pro and suspect I will need to upgrade as well.

    My questions are:

    • With the newfound ability of the reader to finally be able to record a filled in form, how this effect the scenario of "enable user rights"?
      Is it necessary if the entire company uses Adobe Reader XI?

    I did a test in Adobe Reader XI, and of course, I was able to save a completed form... BUT I couldn't not digitally sign the form.

    • Where is the activation rights is always required?
    • Or is it because the form has been designed in Acrobat Pro X?
    • Acrobat Pro XI work around that?
    • I know I don't no need to upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI to continue to make shapes, but should I?

    Thanks for your feed back, and I look forward to reading your responses

    Yes, in order to activate the reader digitally sign, you should always activate with Acrobat Pro or LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

    Acrobat 11 has a number of improvements related to the forms of creation. Two of the largest partners about how configure the tab order of fields are worth the cost to upgrade. You can now select several fields during the reorganization and turn off the auto arrange making Acrobat.

  • Loading SWF files and allowing them to close

    Hello. I had success with the loading of a swf on the timeline (go button) and have it close if clicked. However, I would like to have a 'Close' button on the loaded SWF (not only the entire swf file). For now, it's just, shut up and go back to the main timeline if clicked. The code I have so far:

    var myLoader:Loader = new Loader ();
    page1_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, page1content);
    function page1content(myevent:MouseEvent):void {}
    var myURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("page1.swf");
    myLoader.load (myURL);
    addChild (myLoader);
    }

    myLoader.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, unloadcontent);
    function unloadcontent(myevent:MouseEvent):void {}
    removeChild (myLoader);
    page1_mc.gotoAndPlay (1);

    }

    Can anyone help with this? I would like to than the swf file to have its own timeline and interaction.

  • error message "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" on click with the right button in my computer

    I had this problem for awhile now.  After I receive and send the error report my computer is blocked and I have to finish by WTM. I tried to start in safe mode and it was ok there and when I restarted in normal mode it was ok for the rest of the day, but when I put the computer today the problem reappeared. Dr. Watson is also sometimes with an error message.

    I am running XP with MS and updates.

    Would appreciate some advice.

    Chris

    When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

    Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you install the new software.

    Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song...).

    If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.

    First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

    Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

    ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

    After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

    Click on the column header for Microsoft sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are on top and easy to see.

    Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

    You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.
    You can Google something like:

    Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on.)

    See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

    I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

    Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5 at a time), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to behave, you will know that an extension of this group of 3-5 is the culprit in order to start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

    If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

    Don't forget - disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled so you can always turn it on again.  In this way, you can switch back and forth, enabled to be sure, you have the right extension under control.

    Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again to make sure the changes 'stick '.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

    You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

    If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.  When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.

    The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

    I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.

    If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

    If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

    You only need to register your software once when you install the original (if you choose to save it at all, which is a good idea)

    Your license allows you to have installed and enabled on both machines.  If you have already done this then you may have to contact the Support from Adobe via chat and ask them to reset your activations so that you can install and activate on the new machine.  If it's only the second time you've installed and activated the software, you only need to provide your serial number to make it work.

    Are you going to provide the other requested information (requested) on your system and if not, why not?

    Did you run the scans listed in my previous post and if not, why not?  I am reluctant to work on weird problems with XP if MBAM and SAS have not been executed.

    So far, I never saw a Microsoft Support Engineer in these forums effectively resolve an error DEP in the 'right' way.  Sometimes, they have some things to try (how that works for you?), but you don't need methods to try, you will need to do things that solve your problem.

    I doubt that you have a memory problem or disk - which is not what causes the DEP errors.

    If you have made any exceptions DEP in XP to try and get your working papers, you must cancel all DEP exceptions to go forward.

    If I've ever seen Windows Explorer crashing and DEP errors, here's what I've done to understand what is happening:

    If complains in Internet Explorer, run Internet Explorer with no Add-ons and see if you still have the problem.

    If Internet Explorer then runs OK with no Add-ons, you can determine what add-on is the cause of the problem.

    Fortunately, Windows has a built in option to run Internet Explorer with no Add - ons (imagine that).

    To start Internet Explorer with no add-on, click on start, programs, System Tools, then choose:

    Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

    If you can't find that, click Start, run and enter in the box (or copy/beyond the next line):

    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-extoff

    Click OK to start IE with no Add - ons.

    IE will launch with a message reminding you that it runs with no Add - ons and ask you to click on the button Home (do) and then you can visit the web pages where you might think that you will get a DEP error.  Pages may be different, but you want to see if you still get the DEP error message or not.  You can then activate the Add-ons one at a time until find you the one that is causing problems.

    What I want to do is to add tags and comments to the photos that I am scanning. It is a long-term project to archive all the family of the peaks. Some dating back to 1900 photo of great great grandparents. The key here is long-term. I thought that the properties/summary/comments (and keywords) would be likely to be on board for many years (legacy stuff). Jac I can't find any program that uses or leans on them today! And I just saw a pic of the Win7 properties and guess what? No summary! Picassa is quite widely used but who knows. Nothing is stable for a long time. Can not even get to diskettes and CDs and cassettes now become more difficult to find. And DVDs are on the side too. How can I put the photos on the long term and accessible storage?

    My plan is to use Picassa and .jpg. I'll put a copy of Picassa on every DVD that I use (in data mode). I'll do a mode DVD video slide show as a backup. The disks are pretty cheap even for me. I will not use double layer, but too unreliable. And I intend to check them every few years for readability. I have a few CD that can be read even with 12 years older data recovery programs.

    So if anyone has any comments, suggestions or additions, let it go. I think that it is indeed an important subject, keeping old data accessible.

  • Microsoft never call houses and tell them that their computer has problems?

    Original title: scams?

    Microsoft never call houses and tell them that their computer has problems?  Some guy called who I could barely understand and wanted to guide me through some things.  They said they got my # registration of Microsoft.

    Fake phone calls to technical support

    Such unsolicited telephone calls are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .

    Microsoft does ever not requested for telephone calls of support or security.

    (such persons may use names other than Microsoft as well)
