"Adobe Photoshop has stopped working".

Problem #1: Yesterday, out of the blue, when I tried to open Photoshop CS5.1, I got a pop up insisting I install Photoshop Extended. I have never possessed enlarged so the pop up makes no sense. I could leave the installation license agreement / expanded, but whenever I clicked on the icon Photoshop Extended installation would open again. In other words, there is no way that I could get into my version of Photoshop.

Problem #2: Adobe Support told me to uninstall Photoshop, use the clean tool Adobe and reinstall my original Photoshop, I did. However, now when I try to enter in Photoshop, I always have the same mistake during startup: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working". I tried to reset the preferences outside of photoshop, but nothing works.

I'm on Windows 10. There were no changes to my system recently. My graphics card drivers are up to date.

UPDATE:

I checked my event viewer and all accidents indicate that the fault is caused by "adobe_caps.dll. How to solve this? I installed clean twice already.

I have now deleted from my computer, reinstalled Windows and all of my Adobe software and began again. For now at least, I can now open new Photoshop as well as the CC and After Effects desktop application.

I hope it lasts...

If anyone has this problem, I suggest you wipe you computer and try again.  Save yourself time and mental health.

  • CS6 Adobe Bridge has stopped working - if issue has been resolved?

    Hello.

I encounter this problem with a fresh install of CS6.

If this problem has been resolved?

CS6 Design and Web Premium installed on Win 7 pro 64-bit Dell Precision laptop. Error with cs6 Adobe Bridge: "CS6 Adobe Bridge has stopped working", the "APPCRASH" problem event name Error occurs when the opening of Bridge of Photoshop and other applications (Browse in Bridge) and directly in the menu desktop computer or boot. Also a cache directory is not created in c:\user\ < user > \appdata\roaming\adobe\bridge\. Now CTRL key to the bottom and double click on icon Gets the same message, can't reset window.

Made the following no change: checked the bridge and the entire suite is on the latest (bridge = 5.0.2.4); created the icon from the desktop directly from bridge.exe; checked application was installed and begins with administrative privileges, checked the latest display driver installed, run a complete uninstall of the CS6, CC launch cleaning tool, then full reinstall; Error in the event viewer: failing application: Bridge.exe and the failed module name: ntdll.dll. UAC disabled; memory tested for damage using MemTest86-good.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Following the above.

There seems to be several possible causes for this error. In my case it was a bit specific. I had a copy of stand alone on this same machine previously software Adobe Photoshop CS2 (only) that has been completely uninstalled before the installation of the CS6. There is a problem with Bridge CS6 being installed on a computer that has Bridge CS2 on it. I was not aware of the bridge being present with my copy of Photoshop CS2, but apparently there is at least some components of the Bridge CS2 left after uninstalling. The workaround solution that solved the problem for me has been the creation of an empty folder:

    C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS2

For those of you who may have this situation.

Here is where I found the solution sixth wire to the bottom):

  • I get an error, 'Adobe reader has stopped working ".

My computer is running Vista and a few days ago my Adobe Reader launch is no longer.  If I click on the drive icon or try to open a pdf file all I get is a message "Adobe Reader has stopped working".  On the other hand, the program works in safe mode.  I tried to uninstall/reinstall and even a restoration of the system among other things.  Met someone with something like that, and if so, what is the difficulty?  Thank you.

    Hello

The problem is solved! Thanks to the Adobe support gold

They have highlighted Quebec City at the launch of Captivate, the program searches the location of public documents. This research (api system) did refer the path "C:\Users\Public\Documents.

The public use of the documents was disabled in the GPO "disable known directories."

I have Acrobat 9.5 and when I try to create > pdf from a scanner, it shows an error "Adobe acrobat has stopped working". Is it possible that I can use this feature?

Providing you have Acrobat 9 installed in an operating system for which Acrobat 9 is compatible then you can use the feature.

So, you need a scanner connected, turned on, and the software installed. Acrobat 9 "prefer" TWAIN drivers.

Always visit the site of the provider of the Analyzer and download - install the latest version of the greatest software.

n.b., The Acrobat 9.x product family moved in the middle of the "End of Support" year 2013.

Thus, the family of products Acrobat 9.x is not compatible with contemporary operating systems.

Thanks Pat. I was able to solve the problem.

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.07.

I went into the properties file where I've identified that users only have read & execute and read properties, I changed the properties for everyone to full control. Which corrects the problem.

  • Windows 8.1 "Adobe Illustrator has stopped working" at startup

I get the error message "adobe illustrator has stopped working" when you try to start the CC and C64 versions?  Have uninstalled and reinstalled also tried invariably Campability settings without change.  Am a member of the cloud and other Adobe programs work very well just seems to make Illustrator.  This is not a Spanish related issues noted in other post.

You have a Silhouette cutter? If so, that's the problem. I tried every troubleshooting & finally know now, that's all. If you have Windows, navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC (64 Bit) \Plug-ins (computer, then program files, adobe, illustrator adobe CC, plug ins. remove the plug in that says scp_cc7)

    Then reopen the adobe Illustrator.

I've seen a few threads on this problem event name, but the patches do not seem to work in this case. Perhaps because of what triggered this error?

Support of Adobe contacted. It's an easy solution for Milot.

He went down to Users\Venderley\AppData\Local\Adobe. There he found the Captivate 7.0 folder and renamed it "Captivate 7.0_old.

Do you have the same 7.0 Users\Venderley\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Captivate.

Then ran Captivate on my laptop as administrator.

Captivate reset all my preferences and now launches.

Hope this helps someone else who comes up with a similar problem.

  • Adobe Reader has stopped working - how do I solve this problem?

It's really annoying as whenever I try to use the free software adobe reader has an adjustment and an error - Adobe Reader has stopped working.

I re-installed this and this again

    Help! its driving me crazy!

    Some things you can try...

    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
