adoption phase = prepare error R12.2

Hello, I'm going to install a patch in 12.2 EBS server. LIVE demo version

I use adoption. but initially when I'm in: adopted phase = prepare I got the I got an ERROR:

I checked anoter newspaper found in:

Then, the solution was in / tmp, the permissions:

with the root user:

chmod 777-r/tmp

And now I can do: "adoption phase = prepare."

When clone you your source environment, which is your level of apps, / U01/U02.

Why you have 2 level apps mount points.

I was about to apply a Patch. But I realize that I didn't need.
I have performed adoption phase = prepare and this is completed successfully.
What should I do? nothing and adoption left to prepare the phase or: adopted phase = phase of demolition then = cleaning mode = full adoption?

Hello

According to the documentation, you must perform cleanup after interrupt you a cycle of correction.

However, it does mention the abandonment of a cycle of correction without doing anything.

To be in the right side, run the cleaning with or after the demolition.

adoption phase = abandonment, cleaning cleanup_mode = full

An alternative is to try "adoption phase = failover mtrestart = no" if we can confirm that the issue is w.r.t. starting services.

Thus, the failover can be completed and starting the services can be looked in or fixed once the failover successfully completed.

I'm a bit confused about the impact of the action FS_CLONE in ADOPTION.
Some document indicated that you CAN run AFTER a full course of the ADOPTION, so that you save time when you start the next cycle (and also to perform a sort of validation already).
But, isn't the new cycle ADOPTION already started using this command? I am meaning: when you run this command, is there not a gap between Editioned file systems, where the captain is actually switching?
I request this because of ANY change that is done within the whole Editioned files, but excluding the ADOPTION and OPATCH.
Let's assume that you do not work FS_CLONE at the end of the cycle, but only at the beginning of the next cycle. Is there not a difference then?

Standard phases of adoption are prepare, apply, finalize, commissioning, cleaning. These five phases must be used.

special cases using adoption abort, actualize_all, fs_clone. fs_clone in fact entirely copy the system file to run the patch file system.

Where when you run prepare phase it will copy that all incremental changes to file system to run the patch file system.

Hello

I am required to run the 'pass-through' Oracle SQL, to extract data from tables in the SAS for processing and handling. My code (attached) reads and writes (runs) but with zero records to test first. I can't get beyond the error to prepare.

The request is just like other queries that seem to work, but I can't get past this prepare error. I have no other access to individauls with an adequate knowledge of the PL SQL and as a last stop hoped others in the forum could quickly identify the source of the error.

Wish Oracle was a bit more informative. Uses an Institute of SAS product called Enterprise Guide. A "hot fix" has been installed to solve a problem that the product appears unable to save the latest version of the revised code changes (hence "BETWEEN between" remaining even after an earlier edition). Problem with fs_clone adoption after upgrade to R12.2.3 on the instance of SCREWS

I installed instance EBS R12.2.0 Vision on Oracle Linux Server version 6.5 x 86-64 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Module 3 (3.8.13 - 16.2.2.el6uek.x86_64) and then updated to R12.2.3. Everything went smoothly with the initial installation, the AD and T2K patches and the adoption patch cycle to 12.2.3 update. I'm having a problem with the fs_clone running, which is the first step of the subsequent update of doc 1586214.1. The other phases of the adoption ran OK see below. Also here is the error I get and you want to know if anyone has experienced this or ideas? I searched google and MOS but couldn't find a direct hit. I'm new to adoption and struggling to solve it... any help would be appreciated. I ran to the stage of fs_clone once or twice but I got the same result.
adoption-status-detail (it is the cycle of update R12.2.3). Every step seems OK here.

Looks like you need to add more space to the directory/tmp, I see the following entries in the CLONE*.error file.

We have recompiled pll on which the fix failed manually running fs to ensure that .pll is compiled:

the POXPOPOL.pll resources

the POXOPROC.pll resources

After that we copied .pll patch FS and ran re adoption prepare. He has successfully completed.

Correct way to run adoption patch cycle - EBS R12.2

Hi all
What is the right way to run the patch adoption cycle?
$ . EBSapps.env < EBS_ROOT > run
phase of adoption $ = prepare
$ . patch EBSapps.env < EBS_ROOT >
phase of adoption $ = apply patches = 123456
phase of adoption $ = complete
$ . EBSapps.env < EBS_ROOT > run
$ Shutdown if apps run?
phase of adoption $ = failover
phase of adoption $ = cleaning

I think these are the right steps for each phase.

The last of them is not necessary that the synchronization will be performed the next time you run the preparation phase.

adoption phase = fs_clone fails with RC-50013

We are having a single node 12.2.4 EBS instance DB & Apps on the same server. We applied the AD & patches delta 7 for our EBS 12.2.4 T2K which went well. After that when we took the fs_clone, it fails with the following error:

We found ohsclone.log it's problem on 10.1.2 House cloning, which is perhaps due to inventory problems. Here's the file error:

A little late on this thread, but assuming that you have enough space and still get the error "there is not enough space on the volume that you specified.

What is the space allocated for the mount point where you try to install? If it is greater than 2.5 TB, you can get this error. Re-size and try again.

Home preparation error

I'll put up my first Manager of laboratory environment and have encountered a problem preparing my first host. I use the root user and password, choose my data stores to activate and then finish. This is the error I get after the failure of the preparation:
User credentials used to connect to vCenter Lab Manager to vCenter doesn't have enough privileges on the object of type 'File' with the value "group-d1" in vCenter. Make sure that 'Global.ManageCustomFields' privileges are defined for this user in vCenter.
No permission to perform the specified action.
vCenter reported: refused permission to perform this operation.
Any thoughts? I don't know why he would care same vcenter because it connects directly to the host. I have also attached a picture of the error. Thanks for any help!

When the host - LM preparation defines a field for the host prepared by VC (indicating that host is managed by LM) and so he needs permission to VC.
