Toshiba: during the operation of the button Sleep specify, what action needs to be implemented during the operation of the key to sleep on an external keyboard.
What is sleep button on an external keyboard
You have purchased an external keyboard and now you want to know where a sleep on this keyboard button. Is this good?
Didn't you check the keyboard manual or description that should be delivered with this 3rd party keyboard?
Maybe there is a button with a sign like a moon or something like it ;)

Video files as avi, flv, mp4 are played with SM-player etc on the screen of the laptop, but not on the external monitor attached.
A newspaper there is the error message: MPlayer crashed by the bath OF CPU/FPU/RAM usage.Which may mean that?
You already go to the external display by using the FN + F5 keys?
To do this.In addition, you must go first to the external screen and then you need to start the windows media player or other video player.
I advise to use the VLC Player. It s free fro and plays most of the files

I have two batteries and both give the above symptoms even when I remove ext of laptop power always runs with power supply by battery but no light orange or green for battery.
Any ideas?

PhilHello
Is your AC adapter malfunctions or there is something wrong with the power supply to electronic s laptop.
In the first case you could purchase a new compatible AC adapter and could check if the laptop can run successfully.
The second possibility is a serious hardware problem, but in this case, the laptop must be checked by an authorized technician. -
Satellite Pro A100 - can I exchange the CPU?
Hello world
I have a Satellite Pro A100-198 with a core duo processor. I would like to replace the processor of a Satellite Pro A100 830, which is Core2Duo in the Pro A100-198. They both have the same chipset-expected-they be any problem with that? This would increase the clock speed of 1.66 GHz to 2.0 GHz. They all have two Intel 945 PM Express chipset.
I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7 32 bit and the performance score is 3.4. My BIOS version is 1.9 and I see there is an upgrade to win all the version 6, but I can't find the BIOS version history - it is better to upgrade. For the moment, I'll see if there are problems.
Thanks in advance Mick

Hi Mick,
As far as I know the two books belongs to the PSAACE series. Can you confirm this? You can find this information on the underside of the laptop.
Normally if the books belong to the same series, it should be possible to exchange the CPU. They use the same hardware, so you can exchange.
But don t forget this isn't supported CPU upgrade. If you have the warranty you will lose it. Other s CPU are pre-tested not on your laptop.

Re: Satellite Pro A200 - black screen after the BIOS screen
Hello
I'm new to the forum and have a big problem. So, any help is welcome and appreciated. My Satellite Pro A200 turns black after the BIOS screen and a black screen with a blinking cursor. Also just as the screen goes black a beep can be heard which shows windows boot.
I can access the toshiba Setup screen but not the installation of security mode.Kind regards
Hello
You wrote that you can access the BIOS, but have you checked if the HARD drive is recognized properly? Perhaps because the computer cannot start HDD isn't recognized then you should check this.
If the HARD drive is recognized, I would try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility. It seems that Windows isn't able to start and if you reinstall the whole system should help get rid me of this. Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive as a boot device.
Check this box!

Satellite Pro L40 - how to enable the WLan using ConfigFree
Can you help me?
My English is bad I do not end.
The question is:
My computer is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 and I use the ConfigFree for the wireless, but it seems that the WiFi network is disabled.Help please!
I want to know what's wrongThank you!!
Hello!
Your wireless network card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager, or you may notice a yellow exclamation?
Her check first because otherwise, you can get the WLAN to work.In addition, you can activate WLAN with the material on the laptop switch which must be set on and the FN + F8 key combination.
Check it!After this Free Config should find your WLAN router if you are in the range of that.
Good bye

Thanks a lot for your time!
Hi xosman,
According to the information that you have posted it seems that the other Satellite A200 module has the same specifications, so if your laptop works with this module it s no problem I think.
Satellite A200 A300 using the same memory modules DDR2 so change the RAM is no problem.

Satellite Pro A300 freezes when on the internet
Satellite Pro A300 freezes when on the internet & the only way to turn it off is to take out the battery. Bought new Dec 2010 & is under warranty - suggestions?
Hello
have you tried to update drivers Lan (wlan)? What browser do you use? I guess, the Internet explorer, try firefox or opera. Also, your computer may be infected with the virus, or blocked by the firewall. Have you installed software before it starts? Is this ok when you bought it? I ask you too, because you do not have a lot of information.
It is especially the driver, software problem. -

When the mine goes into sleep mode it re - will not start unless the power button "many" times, finally it lights, but in safe mode and everything which was being developed is lost.Hello
I've read about similar problems, especially the screen remained empty after entry into standby or hibernation mode
This could be resolved by updating the BIOS with the latest version available and by updating the operating system.
Please do this first
