Advanced Photo paper

Just bought a HP Envy 5530 printer all-in-one.   Everything is set up, wireless works well.   You want to know which side of the shiny printing paper should I insert in the status bar for the photos?

Wucta,

Congratulations on your new printer!

    Hey @antonello2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with printing to your Windows 7 PC to your 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. If the printer is connected to your PC via a USB cable, remove it.
    2. Close any programs you have open.
    3. Click on start and open devices and printers.
    4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    7. If you removed the USB cable, connect. If this is not the case, click on add printer and follow the prompts to add a new queue for your printer.

Please let me know if this allows you to change the paper settings. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • ... My BRAND NEW HP Officejet Pro 8630 load photo paper...

I just bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 and it will NOT print on paper HP Premium Plus Photo or a generic brand of paper photo.  I just unboxed and configure all web settings.  Printing on plain paper works fine; However, when I place a small load of ~ 20 sheets of paper in the UPPER tray, the printer is trying to load then present and error message "Out of Paper".  I can then immediately turn around and put a single or the stack of paper in the upper tray and the printer will print.  I tried a single sheet of photo on a stack of regular paper, remove the stack of photo paper and loosening the battery in order to ensure that they don't are not glued together, as well as turn off the printer and the cleaning of all THE rolls by instructional video of HP and it still DOES NOT... (out of paper message).

I got exactly the same problem with an Officejet Pro 8600 this printer just replaced.  I had a similar but even more frustrating problem with HP 8500Pro; None of them will properly load the photo paper.  I do not know how to choose the type of appropriate paper via the print from the application menu and I tried to choose the types of paper "regularly."  No solution worked.  I'll take my stack of photo papers to the store chain that I bought the printer since they have the same model of 8630 display.  I will then try to print a test them to see if the same error occurs.  If it works there, I'll take this point to poor quality HP control and quickly return my printer.  If them does not load, I have to draw them on paper photo off their tray, and then try again.

    Please help...

    Update:

I went back to the store I bought the printer from.  They had Xerox 80 lb stock in Tray 1 and it printed without problem.  I took a stack of my HP Premium Plus Photo Paper (~ 20 sheets), removed their and mine inserted into Tray 1.  It would not load the paper and gave the same error 'out of paper '.  Commercial agent has experienced the same problem.  She then withdrew the paper except just a sheet of my Photo paper; It is then printed.  It prints all the way up to 4 sheets inserted at the same time in the status bar.  Any more of 3 sheets caused the printer to fail to load the paper.  It sounds like a fault with HP loading mechanism.  I noticed that the Xerox 80 lb pound felt slightly thinner my photo paper I have so bought Advanced Photo Paper from HP (66lb) as opposed to the Premium Plus.   I took a pile of about 15 leaves for the printer and loaded.  It seems to load well and has not failed with an error.

HP... you've had several lines of OfficeJet Pro to do things and it seems you are always dropping the ball with a defective printer product.  Where is your quality control?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 (CN578A) will not feed photo paper.

New N911A will not feed paper tray default photo. It gives an out of paper message. Regular paper feeds very well. The optional feeder is not installed (I have not). This is a brand new, out of the box machine replacing a C7280 with failure of distribution of ink. I used this article to all my printers previous HP with no problems. This is HP Advanced Photo paper (66lb/10.5 mil, sense of self)

Just got off the phone with HP... my printer BRAND NEW so... Remove the tray paper... tip top printer has left... using a clean t-shirt... Clean the gray rubber roll... a little... hard paper will feed properly...

That is all... should not have to do, BUT it's best that packing this f * er on the rise and water and the ascent to Costco...

  • Trouble with photo paper

I bought some HP advanced photo paper 10 x 15 250 g/m2.  Paper stuck in the rollers at the back of the printer when I try to print photos.  I used the older paper and this problem does not occur. Is this new advanced the paper thinking too much for my Photosmart C4780 old?

Hi, the max is 236 GSM.

  • D110A Photo paper jam

We use the D110 primarily to print photos for use by an artist.  Hardware: iMac with OS 10.9. Recently installed ver 3.3 driver. The printer now blocks with photo paper, 230gsm (Staples) who is 11mil, when you use the HP Advanced Photo paper setting. The performance of the printer are unusual. The first sheet feeds quickly through without printing. The second sheet begin feeding, then with the grinding of gears, reverse the paper stops. The HP support recommended procedures paper jam not helped

    Hey @JoeTully,

Please get back to me regarding this photo paper feeding issue. I am very pleased to hear that the copy has worked well for you. So, at this point, we know that this is not a problem of printer hardware.

I looked liked what you said about compatibility on Mac OS X 10.9 HP print driver. In further investigation, I found that the drivers of HP printer for printer HP Photosmart e-All-in-One - D110a on Mac OS X 10.9 are pilots Apple update because of the age of the printer. Apple updated drivers are from HP. Therefore, by reinstalling your printer the latest version of the driver should be automatically installed.

Because I know at this point that something on your Mac is at the origin of the conflict, I will you travel a certain standard Mac troubleshooting steps to get this reinstalled product and make sure that you use the latest drivers available for your product.

If you use the printer via a USB cable connection, please unplug this cable now.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

    1. From the desktop, double-click the Macintosh HD icon.
  • Portable printer OOfficejet 100 - will not be printed on photo paper loaded

I have a brand new printer Officejet 100 (just out of the box today) and I am trying to print photos from my Canon Rebel T5, which is connected by usb to the printer.

I loaded the plain printer paper in the tray and the pictures printed without problem. When I try the same steps with the matte photo paper, the printer is flashing with an error of paper, and the camera screen says no paper is located.

Photo paper I use is the mark Staples, 8-1/2 x 11 inches and 230 g/m (61lb), which weighs less than the recommended 250 g/m2 (66 lb) on the site of hp - http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c02623030

This printer works only with HP photo paper, or have I missed a step somewhere along the way?

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  • Designjet Z3200 Photo: Designjet Z3200 Photo - paper will not load

I got this plotter for less than a year (although it was purchased through a school and languished in receiving for a while before I was in fact, the guarantee is therefore).

Today when I tried to load photo paper in it he refused to recognize that I inserted the end of a roll in the plotter. I went through the procedure of typical paper loading, but it seems that the sensor that records the fact that the document has been inserted is borked/don't normally work. He's always telling me to load paper.

I tried to lift the locking lever to see if I could advance the paper and do recognize it, but had no luck.

The plotter was sitting idle for several months during the summer.

I can't find documentation on this problem. Is this typical? It's just a bad sensor? What?

I used previous generations of this tracer a lot in the past and would call me as at least a moderate user in advanced. I've never had this problem

Advice? Patches? What is it going to cost me, since I'm now out of warranty? It's a little irritating, as I ran less than 50 feet of paper through this thing - I don't expect that broke quickly.

    Thanks in advance!

Problem solved thanks to another thread.

OOP sensor has been disconnected. No doubt some students unplugged knucklehead.

    Thank you! Sorry!

  • HP Photosmart C3180 all-in-One does not scroll on glossy photo paper

Printer all-in-one HP C 3180 will not take paper glossy photo Copier. I hear the gears rolling, but it doesn't pull in the worksheet. It will take regular paper and Matt paper thick. I use only HP advanced photo copy paper. Are there adjustments for scrolling? Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to identify the problem and solve it somewhat. Settings of the printers were very good; no paper jam, etc.  It is the rear access door.

Glossy paper would not scroll until I pushed on the RAD. I just have to hold it down until the paper begins to scroll, so I withdraw my hand. Find out where the problem is I should be able to jimmy-rig it (ahh... Yes, duct tape!) to hold in the FDR. Nevertheless, Cheetah12, I appreciate your suggestions.

  • Photosmart 7510 - will not print black on any parameter of photo paper (does not print on plain paper setting)?

HP Potosmart 7510, printing from a memory card.  Using premium photo paper (glossy), set printer to print on HP Premium Plus Photo), printing out with Black/Brown areas in the blue-green instead of black.  Printing using plain paper, set printer on regular paper, just fine.    Same thing happens when I tried Advanced Photo and a Photo paper - print comes out with a blue-greenish cast in areas that should be black/brown.

Tried to print a black and white photo - identical to all other attempts - if the choice of the photo options paper, the dark areas are blue/green.

Comment - then try printing from the computer (wireless), produced the same result - black areas are printed in blue-greenish.

Tried cleaning the cartridges, alignment printer, print quality status report looks very good.

Door on this forum and general web search.  Nothing has yet solved problem.

What should I do?  Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, this is the case on a 7510.  I worked on the answer.  Although "ink" diagnostice demonstrates both the black and the cartridges 'photo black' as being low, the 'black photo' was apparently empty.  The black of the photo must be called only because when the print properties are defined for the "photo paper", and when it is empty the black dark areas print in blue-green.  I thought that the black photo cartridge was a gray, for most thin shades grey, but maybe it's an intensifier of some sort.  It's a shame that HP does publish no real information.

  • PSC 2175 does not feed photo paper along the

I'm reposting this since it's day of HP experts.

I'm having a recurring problem with my HP psc 2175 all-in-one. When I insert any sort of thicker paper in it, it prints fine up until the last 4/5 or so of the page. Then it gets stuck and no paper feed send all further. It starts the drop of ink on itself, creating a dark band. When it's over, I have to draw on paper. At the moment I'm having the problem with Kodak Premium Photo Paper. I had the same problem before with card stock. In all cases, I make sure to set the paper type in the Preferences dialog box before you print it. What can I do? This printer is old enough, and I hope that this is not done for!

    Hello AubreyRhea,

Please check whether your paper meets the requirements of your unit, you can check out HERE. Scroll down to the paper form to see if your paper is supported. Which can help as well use paper HP Advanced, which has a grainy backside and is easier to find the printer. You can also try cleaning the collection of paper rolls if yu can reach with a damp cloth, please make sure that the device is not connected to the power outlet when you do and allowing to dry enough before connecting again.

  • 7612 All In One OfficeJet: HP Officejet 7612 won't print without margins on A3 + photo paper.

Just bought an Officejet 7612 specifically for printing photos without edge of 13 X 19. I use Windows 8.1 and tried 5 different paint and photo printing programs. All programs list the same options of paper size for the 7612 (choice 2 choices, and 7610 series watch regular and fax printer). The only options for 13 X 19 or A3 + with HP advanced paper selected photo is low-margin. I went to options/settings and selected the printer printing without margins, but all attempts to cause a small margin. I don't use HP Photo Creations because he won't open a TIFF, which has better quality than JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, offers the only options Photo Creations. There are choices for edge to edge printing, but for the smaller paper sizes. I lose paper photo cheap and need help to resolve this.  Thank you
