Aegisub / Subtitle Edit

Hello!

I'm working on a project of 23 976 fps and I am currently it captioning with Aegisub (I can open the. * file in Subtitle Edit as well). I have big problems with the importation of the legend in the first file - subtitles have the wrong position in the picture and do not completely match or the time code has a change.

So far I've found a good workflow of Aegisub or edit subtitles to Premiere Pro.

Thanks in advance!

Finally I have with Subtitle Edit of coding them as *.scc files. Somehow a few sentences (not the entire file legend!) are too short in their calendar. It is, I can adjust the calendar a bit inside the first. Prevented there is no first option to change the font and size, and so they look terrible and are not suitable for projection (I mean, even Avid Media Composer can adjust styles of legends...).

Is it a tool for captioning can export XMLs with subtitles in PNG/TIFF and Alpha? Subtitle Edit you can export this way for Final Cut Pro X, but first see an empty XML.

PUH, this topic all subtitling is very uncomfortable inside the first. I hope that you guys will improve the possibilities of the legend inside the first one day

  • Import TXT subtitles not synced!

    Hi all

With the help of subtitles Edition 3.1, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and Adobe Encore CS5.1.

I just spent a few days to transcribe a long training DVD. I want to be a normal subtitle to DVD subtitles track. My workflow has been:

    * Change the full video.

    * Export with Media encoding in MPEG2.

    * I used Subtitle Edit 3.1 doing the transcription.

    * Exported/saved in the Adobe Encore TXT file.

    * Started at Adobe Encore CS5.1 project. Imported from the MPEG2 even as active.

    * Imported TXT as a new subtitle track.

The subtitles start well, but they have a sort of drift. I thought that still was supposed to deal with TC/no drop drop formats? The end of the time of the video, the subtitles are 3 seconds delay. For example, I have a title that is supposed to be in TC 00:52:46:10 (it's the timecode, not time). When I import it, it actually happens at TC 00; 52; 49 11.

Someone has an idea of what's going on? I have Subtitle Edit in place for 29.97 frame rate. What is a conversion problem? Or do I really need to put images between titles? It gives a warning on Blu - ray, but I only do the DVD.

    Any ideas would be great!

I'll try to put the video with dynamic links to see if that will better match.

  • convert txt extension srt to rename jumps to txt

I am trying to download video subtitles.  I need to change txt to srt, but following the instructions - just remove the .txt from the file - does not work as the name of the skipped file just go back to the original. the format of srt.txt.  I found instructions saying that I need to go to Finder > Preferences > advanced and click on show all extensions of file name, I did, but that does not work either...

Just what are the commands you use?

I would use the Subtitle Edit Lite free from the Mac App Store app

  • Export of legends yet for YouTube?

I have a project with Spanish subtitles.  The client would like to so that there are Spanish subtitles on YouTube the video version (the speakers are speaking English).  I am able to export the file from the legend of yet, but I don't know how to convert the .txt file to something that youtube can import. Can someone help me?

Hi jdmack01. I worked with subtitles a lot lately, and so I can understand your frustration/concern.  .. translation subtitles is a lot of hard painful work for a long time and it's horrible when things don't move easily from one system to the other.

As for your question on YouTube, here's the answer: ^_^

YouTube currently supports download of legend script following formats:

    • .SRT - subRip - only the basic version is supported.
    • . SBV - subViewer
    • *. CSC - scenarist Closed Caption. For any premium content that has subtitles of broadcast quality (movies, TV shows, etc.) we strongly recommend this format.
    • . DFXP - distribution Format Exchange profile.
    • . SMI - synchronized Accessible Media Interchange
    • . Sub - subtitle of MPlayer (and other similar formats)
    • LRC - for the words
    • . RT - Windows
    • . STL - EBU - STL. Widely used in Europe to broadcast content.

I use Adobe CS6, and it currently seems to only export a subtitle file or a legend like a simple script TXT file. (not a supported YouTube format) However, there is a wonderful Open source (free) captioning program called "Subtitle Edit" (they can be found here-> www.nikse.dk) that will take your subtitles still exported (and almost any other format of captioning) and allows you to save them in most of the above formats.  By default, YouTube like the SubViewer (.sbv) format so I recommend saving that one.

To export your subtitles of reminder, click on "Chronology" in the top menu, then "Export subtitles" in the menu dropdown. Export your text script and then open it in the subtitles editing program. Choose "Save as" on the file menu, and then save your captions under the .sbv of Youtube format. (it is currently the next to the last file listed in the Save menu drop-down list format)

I've done everything recently introduced to edit subtitles. He has a bit of a learning curve, but will be a huge asset if you plan to make more subtitling in your future. Hope that helps!

  • Adding a subtitle in a movie made the shift of the film (i.e. causes 2 second rule before title views)

Whenever I try to add a subtitle in my film, it takes a few seconds for the title to display. Within these two following seconds, my movie made a break and then again when the title is displayed at startup. Any ideas on how to remove this delay if the title appears instantly when I want that it?

The lag occurs after sharing the movie or only when editing?  If its only when editing it's probably because of your mac not be fast enough to deal with your instructions to change.  It may well also have some active process going on in the background.  It is more likely to occur with video, high resolution and a slow mac.

    Geoff.

  • Having problems EDITING keywords

    I have trouble EDITING keywords.

Like many, I use PowerPhotos so I can show the keywords under the thumbnails. However, you will need to return to Photos if you want to change these keywords. It's editing is weird (at least for me).

Let's say my keywords have eight words. But I want to add a ninth Word. I find that you can't really do that. Photos just trying to add an additional "segment" in front of the original one. I don't want to do that, I want to change the original key words game.  How can I do this?

Below, I typed 'Floor 10' AFTER the original test.

For some reason, Photos has put forward the text I added!

I am trying to ADD "10th floor" AFTER the word "Resort".

Photo shows the keywords in alphabetical order.

Your photo has a keyword 'Galveston Hotel San Louis Resort' and you add a keyword '10th floor.

If you want to change the keyword 'Galveston Hotel San Louis Resort' to "Galveston Hotel San Louis Resort 10th floor", you must change the key word in the keyword manager, or add a new keyword "Galveston Hotel San Louis Resort 10th floor" and remove the old keyword.

I use a few keywords; for such a long text with spaces, I'd probably use the description field. Photos of power can also display a description under the thumbnails as subtitles.

  • Toshiba 32L4333D mp4 subtitles issue

    Hello everyone!

I just bought this TV and my major disappointment, I discovered there is a problem with the files mp4 video playing actually no subtitles at all of my USB. Avi & mkv files play fine although the conversion of all the movies in a different format or using embedded subtitles isn't really a sollution for me.

The question is like the one I found here: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=76798&tstart=0

Also note: the question has not to do with no any utf8 and notepad ++ record as the subtitle is not loaded at all.

    Anyone have a proposal?
I got very frustrated with this problem and I even plan to return the tv back unless I found a way...

Edit: Mentions Toshiba Greece in a facebook post that srt files are not taken in charge atm and "sub - .smi - .ssa." might work, but I also have tryied all of them using subtitle workshop without success... :(

It is really strange. I have two Toshiba TV and there is no problem with reading the subtitles.
In my case, each film is saved in a folder with srt (subtitle) file. SRT file must have exactly the same name as the avi file.

When I run the USB stick film began and subtitle will display correctly. the same thing happens when I do that on PC using VLC player.

Hi, I bought a LED TV 46TL938 this month and I am having trouble with the character encoding of the subtitles...
Characters such as 'c' a a a to are replaced by one? 'square '.
Someone has the same problem and knows how to solve this problem?
Any specific format? I use .srt or .sub files

The same thing happen on my Toshiba TV. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do about it.
It is interesting that the same problem happens on different devices from different manufacturers, so the same question is when I watch movies stored on USB and watch using BR of LG player.

  • Toshiba 32AV933G: unsupported media error caused by subtitles

    Hello.

I am having trouble with this media player to my toshiba tv room.

More specific, sometimes while playing media at some point the audio stops after a few seconds tv stops responding during playback the video, and finally this make me back in the video folder with a 'unsupported media' error.

After a lot of troubleshooting _i came finally to the solution. _
_The problem is caused by the subtitles. _

I'm in Greece so for sure, this happens with Greek submarines.
For example, if the submarines have a line and the line starts by ((i) * which is "BOLD" subtitle) this problem occurs.

If I remove the "BOLD" in the submarines it no is no problem at all.
Etc. obviously "BOLD" is not supported.

I think that this could be easily fixed via a firmware update.

    * I put (i) which is not a well-formed, because the right pair that begins and ends with< is="" not="" shown="" in="" the="">

    > The problem with subtitles.

Have you tried to change/edit the srt file?

The srt file should be defined and converted to the UTF-8 format.
Select UTF-8 standard, text editor such as Notepad ++.
Then choose the character set and also you must choose the option convert to UTF - 8.

  • Can we do a disassembly video or guide of the Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition?

The laptop in question is the Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition VN7-591 G - 4 K 729V.

There is literally no clear disassembly video which is in English and subtitled in English. As most of this community knows, the Acer Aspire V15 does not have a maintenance hatch, so you literally have to take off the keyboard as well as all of the top panel to make any kind of change.

I want to replace the HDD with a SSD and most of the time I don't know where the slot for it, but it's all the other threads that worry me. Knowing what must be disconnected when you lift the keyboard and what belongs in knowing where is a nightmare. I'm not quite trust by opening, can someone make at least a step by step guide, with or without photos or at the most a video in English? Thank you.

This type of connector you very gently pust both sides of the black bar the White side. Reinstall the cable, you must stand out as you reglissez the water in.

What type of connector do you speak? These 3 connectors which are connected to the keyboard when you lift first open?
