AF:table pagination page numbering disappears

Hello

I use Jdev 11.1.1.7 for af:table the paging.

I have a situation where the page listed at the bottom of the table numbers disappear after I perform any operation on the table, such as moving to any other page in the paging, select columns to display, etc.

I used the link below for reference, https://technology.amis.nl/2013/03/30/adf-11-1-1-7-paging-table/

I put on the exact same component, as shown in the link page.

This is the exact description of the scenario:

1. the loading of the page, the page numbers in the paging are not displayed.

2. in the click on detach, detached opens upward. The point of view also detached the page number do not appear. Once we close the individual opinion, the page numbers appear.

3. once I perform any operation on the table like select columns or move it to another page when paging, page numbers disappear.

Is it possible to stabilize the page numbers in the paging, so that their visibility is consistent all the time?

Thank you

Thank you Florin. Yes, I'll try to contact the blogger.

In the meantime, I found a way around. I'm sure that's not the right way to do it. But I've handled using CSS, forcing the display property to always be inlined.

{.af_table_navbar-row-range-text

display: inline! important;

}

{.af_table_navbar-current-page

display: inline! important;

}

{.af_table_navbar-page-link

display: inline! important;

}

{.af_table_navbar-page-container

display: inline-block! important;

  • Page numbers disappear in final pdf of * place * InDesign pages

    Hello

    Due to restrictions of export to the booklet, I imposed an indesign document by placing each page InDesign document to another (the publication is 8.5 x 11 landscape - the script provided in will not impose it). I then export the Indesign file secondary in pdf format so that I can send it to a digital printing, copier however, does not print page numbers. All other elements of master page print, except for page numbers.

    Someone has a cure for this? (off collecting two InDesign documents and shipping).

    Thank you.

    If you export the original file to PDF, then place instead of the pages of the ID, page numbers should work.

  • Whence go and how to recover my page numbers?

    1. new Adobe Indesign CS4 (.indd file) document created from old file .p65 to Pagemaker.  Had page numbers at this time.

    2 moved some text around and changed the Table of contents (which was part of the text of the .indd, not generated by Indesign file) to reflect the changes in the text. Was still, at this time, page numbers.

And see if you now have the numbering of the pages in the actual pages of the text.

  • Page numbering and the Table of contents

    I have a book containing 23 document files. Document files contain the page numbers in the footer.

    One of the document file is a generated table of contents (TOC). Unfortunately, the generated page

    the number in the table of contents do not match the numbering of the pages in the files. Here are the details:

    • The title page, in a file by itself, is not numbered
    • The frontmatter, distributed in five cases use lowercase Roman (i - xvi)
    • The body of the text in the remaining 17 files is digital (1-243)
    • The generated TOC uses cardinal numbers of the book as a whole. For example,.
      Chapter I is numbered correctly in the footer from page 1. However, he is listed in the table of contents
      as starting on page 19, because this is the file real 19th in the book. I put the document numbering
      This file from 1 properties and properties of Page numbering for the book as a whole to
      be "continue."
    • The style of the table of contents entries is correct. In other words, the frontmatter uses a tiny Roman and the
      chapters use Numeric

    I tried to regenerate the table of contents, but this did not help.

    Does anyone have suggestions on what is the way prescribed to do?

    OK, I continued to read and this is what I found:

    Set the numbering style in the document, and not in the book that we told you. Format > Document > numbering. Choose Arabic or digital. Repeat for the various chapters.

    Save and close the chapters. In the book file, click with the right button on each chapter and choose Configure XXX. This is where tell you the book to continue the page numbering or restart at the 1.

    Once this is done, update your address. From there, if there are issues, we rely on the logic of the Fm we use every day, and each of us can help you solve.

  • How to upgrade only the page numbers from a table of contents in Indesign CS6?

    Hello!

    Help, please! I make a medical book with more then 1300 pages and about 40 different table of contents.

    I want to update only the page numbers on all the table of contents. But I don't see the option to update the table of contents.

    I've seen on other forums that it is a very old and familiar problem. Do you have Adobe already fixed it?

    Nothing has changed with the function table of contents. If you update a table of contents using the standard method of the table of contents, the complete table of contents are updated.

    You can get the page numbers only updates manually by creating your table of contents by using cross-references.

  • Chapter numbers will appear in the table of contents with page numbers...

    First of all, thank you all so much for the display of the answers.  This forum is wonderful.

    I have a doc that needs to have chapter numbers appear with the page numbers in the table of contents.

    I insert the < $chapnum > and < $currentpagenum > in the footer and I get 1-1 appears.

    To include 1-1 in the table of contents, do I have to edit the referring Page, or is there another way.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Change the reference to the table of contents page to use the building block as well as the first page, which is <$chapnum>chapnum.<$pagenum>

  • Table of contents, separating the positions and Page numbers

    Hello

    I work with a table of contents in InDesign CC. Some of the titles that appear in the table will be very long and the next line. I want to wrap up before it hits the right hanging tab so that there is a visual separation between the page numbers and text. I understand that I can do it manually, but I want to do it consistently because it is a model for a large number of documents.

    Here's what I want it to look, the important thing is that the long position:

    1. regular position... 5

    1.1 regular subheading... 6

    2. long title that I hope

    a smart person would reduce

    down anyway............................................................ 8

    As opposed to:

    1.      Regular Heading...................................................... 5

    1.1 regular subheading... 6

    2. long title this person smart hopefullya would be

    cut down anyway..................................................... 8

    Any ideas? Is it possible to have an active table of content in a table? Or maybe something else? Expand on a second column?

    Well, looks like you know how to a negative indent on the left margin; you know, apply a few dash to the left margin, then some Indent first line. Look carefully at your dash controls in your toolbar: apply some indent right margin, then a few negative withdrawal of last line, and you can get your table of contents behaves exactly as you wish.

    I can take a few screenshots for you later if my description is not obvious.

  • Disappearance of the Page numbers

    I use win 7 pro CS5.5.

    I created a "page number" style He has worked in the original document, the first of several papers "book". The page number is placed on a master page. Pages with this master page work very well.

    The second reserved document also derives its master page of the master in the first document. Page numbers appear fine. (FWIW, this second doc really is the last in the book).

    The third document is created and placed between the first and the second. He also has a master page based on the original. There is a difference, however. The bottom margin is nec. 5 "instead of. 6667 ". This nessecitated my move the page numbers at the bottom. It is where begins the strangeness.

    When moved to the bottom, the disappearance and their text boxes show a sign of infinity. When I try to move the edges of the text box, the page number and his rule finally appear in the middle of the page. I resize the text around the rule and the number box to do as I want. I then select the text box and try to move it into place. As I move it, the text moves, but the text inside strives to keep in the same place, as if it's in here. It happens to a certain extent I have move the text box to the left. If I move just a little more to the past of the left, right where I really want, the text appears again on the opposite side of the box all the way out of the page.

    The justification is set for 'far spine'. I do not understand why the text attempts to move towards the spine until almost at the right place and then jumps all the way out of the back page.

    Anyone can offer any guidance?

    JAL3:

    you say there is no other executives, but your second screenshot shows an element Master frame is the exact position as your frame number in the first shot. Looks like the empty main point is originally the text wrapping.

  • Table of contents: not positioned wrong page numbers

    When I create my "list of Figures" (A Table of contents item type) I get ugly results such as (p83 and p84):

    Screen Shot 2014-02-05 at 5 February 14.21.49.png

    and (p105)

    Screen Shot 2014-02-05 at 5 February 14.22.13.png

    There is not always a dashed line and page numbers are not always end on the right. Is there a way I can influence it?

    I found a solution, less elegant, but it seemed to work in my little test. Add a GREP style to your paragraph to add a character without pause style tab and the number. (This corrects the independent left-aligned numbers).

    Then do a search and repalce to add a space before the tabs. The result is far from ideal, because it leaves a space between the text and the leader, but it seems to solve the problems of end of line too tight.

  • You can create a table of contents with page numbers using bookmarks?

    You can create a table of contents with page numbers using bookmarks?

    Sometimes a long article has bookmarks to help navigate, it but has no real TOC (table of contents) on the first page. In such a situation, I think that it would facilitate the reading of the paper version if you can somehow create a table of contents with page based on hierarchical bookmarks in the document numbers.

    If this is not possible from Acrobat, is there a third party app?

    Indeed you have created a script for this - sorry that I missed it. I should have...

  • Has anyone who has worked with doc us MIL - STD and generated with the success of the page numbers in the table of contents?

    I'm creating a template using FrameMaker 7.2.

    MIL - STD dictates works package (such as chapters) page numbers in the format: 0001-1, 2-0001, 0002-1 and 2-0002, etc.

    The problem I encounter draws in this format of the page number in the table of contents generated.

    I used a variable on the Master Page, and generate page numbers in each package to work properly.

    I know that in point 7.2 of the FM, you cannot include a variable in a table of contents generated.

    So I tried changing the variable on the Master Page to text using a paragraph tag (WPnumber), but have not gotten it either works.

    Tried all the other stuff I could think of, too.

    In my view, a part of the problem is that FM cannot have leading zeros when you set the page number or chapter (understandable 99.9% of the time).

    If anyone has suggestions or solutions, I am very interested to hear.

    Thank you.

    1Editor - and puzzled

    I already manually put the zeros.

    I just want to be clear that strikes the zeros directly on the master page does NOT have to include in the table of contents. You then type in the context of the reference to the table of contents also. In addition, you must have separate template and reference pages for chapters 10, 11, etc., in order to obtain the number of zeros correctly.

    With my method, the zeros are introduced as part of the chapternumber itself, in the chapter number of the TEXT. You still have to type but only once for each file.

  • Right align page numbers which is found to the left of the table of contents entries

    I posted a similar question a while ago I think that substances or Peter replied, but darn if I can find the thread. At that time, they provided a script that does a GREP search, find a sentence that starts with a number and its replacement by a tab. I still have the script, but for some reason, it does not properly with my new table of contents page layout. It must insert a tab on the left page number (page numbers are to the left table of contents entries) and force the numbers right aligned so that a single-digit right page number aligns with the right edge of a two-digit page number.

    Find: ^ (\d+)
    Change to the: \t$1

    What is happening in the new table of contents, this is the script is a figure and inserts a tab to the left of the page number. Page numbers are moving to the right, but they do not align right. They are further to the right, but they themselves numbers correspond to the left.

    I'm puzzled as to why the script does not work on this new layout. Now I use CS4 and it still works on the former route. Nothing terribly different about the new layout except that the column is much closer, and there are several columns threaded in the TOC instead of a long column and the chapter titles do not have page numbers (but all other entries have page numbers.)

    We should probably set the tabulator in your paragraph style: a tab aligned right for the numbers, followed by a tab stop that is aligned to the left to the text that follows this number. (I guess that there is a tab after the number.)
