MacBook Pro with Airport Extreme - I was hit by a virus (I know weird, right?) and McAfee to get rid of it.  However, now I can't my email to work by Mail or Thunderbird.  I was on the phone with Wowway everyday, we will change the passwords for each account and then it will work again for a few hours.  I think the problem is always with Wowway but they say I still have a virus.  I used McAfee twice more, and he says he has none are detected.  I keep getting the status of invalid login or password when I try to access my emails.  Suggestions?  Should I take the MacBook for the genius bar or continue to fight with Wowway?  Any ideas at all?  Thank you very much!

Also any other method of setting up safe menu starting boot or mode does not work as it should connect on the desktop to go threw the settings and activate it for the next boot upward. This does not work for me since the virus I have apprently made my fall display driver, after I get my user password to start the desktop computer, so I don't see anything but the pointer of the mouse, everything is black. Y at - it another way to start in safe mode or trigger a recovery system or restore without actually being on the desktop?

    I already ordered a recovery disk as that seemed to be my only option. But the works of windows 8 way I will NEVER buy a computer with it again. Cannot start in safe mode and can't do the simplest task without being a great test. It's crazy. I thought that windows 8 was supposed to be simple and easy to use!

    I installed XP pro since the XP downgrade Cd included and wireless drivers wasn't on that CD so I downloaded them. (And Yes. "This is the correct drivers.)
    After that I installed the driver and restart my computer, I could not find wireless networks. Kind of weird because I have 4 routers/points of WLAN on my company with the range 60-100% and about 3 other public routers without security. I tried to update the drivers to windows update, and WU has found an update for me. I installed driver and the wireless highlight function. I scream YES and restart the computer. Then it stopped working. N° !!!
    I was a little tired on the problem and began installing some other computers that I bought and when I looked the Toshiba computer that I saw that it was connected to my WLAN. Weird, but I thought it worked then I restart the computer again and then his does not work... again! Now, I have analyzedthe problem and it's like that.

    When I start the computer the my WNIC does not any WLAN.
    About 10 min (10m32s) after starting the wireless started working.

  • Satellite L45-S7419 - cannot get device WLAN working for XP

    I have a serious issue that I have not been able to understand and finally just abandoned.

    My father has a Satellite L45-S7419 which has wifi 802. 11 b/g, built in at Bestbuy which came with Vista there is quite some time and I finally had the time to put XP on it (which, in itself, was a challenge) and I am unable to get drivers that work with the built-in Wifi.

    In Device Manager, it shows the device with a yellow "?" and no driver installed. Unfortunately, Toshiba has no drivers for XP, but fortunately (I thought at the time) realtek had drivers for RTL8187B. Who called on the site - (RTL8187B driver auto Installer Windows (Win2K/WinXP/Vista support), Win2K/WinXP/Vista driver ver.1158 1158 20/11/2009)

    I installed the drivers, but the device is not simply either recongize or it some how is not the correct drivers, because the appliance does not work.

    I've had many, many problems with my computer brothers laptop for a while now. It is a Satellite A300 (PSAGCA-06P01Q), and initially the laptop worked quite well.

    This looks like a hardware problem, because you have already tried to recover the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc.

  • Cannot get wireless to work on printer J6480

    Does not print to my HP Officejet J6480 new all-in-one wireless.

    I get a message printer is offline.

    With a cable USB is connected, it will print from my new IMAC.  I followed the instructions that came with the printer, but it does not work yet.

    I have the updated Imac in place on the airport.

    I have a wireless router for my dsl connection.  I need to print wireless not only my imac but also a gateway, a computer desktop computer dell laptop and a toshiba laptop.

    I used the HP Print Manager.

    I printed from the printer to the HP network configuration page and the the wireless network test report.  They all seem to be ok.

    Last thing, I tried to resistors in line several times, but he's never through

  • 10 ColdFusion server cannot get CFTREE to work

    I solved it by reading other forums. Why my Blackberry ID not working not for my email settings is because the BB ID has nothing to do with the mail.  I had to use a different username and password for my network of carriers email settings.

    As I had forgotten this information, once more, I called my provider (Rogers) and this time I got someone who knew what he was doing. He informed me of my ID and reset my password so that I can connect without problems!

    I have been using my hotmail address to send/receive messages, but I want to get rid of it and use my new address to iCloud.

    I click on the following: Preferences > account information > Alias > This shows my address hotmail.co.uk (not the new iCloud email address), and clicking on modify the Alias takes me to account, then + and - an email address, then I add the new address to iCloud and then it freezes!  When my wife does it to see how it should work, by clicking on edit aliases, it is automatically taken on its iCloud site where she can change all his own.
