No network adapter driver is available after reinstalling Windows Vista installation disk... Unable to connect to the network
Hello
Know what type of network card you have and download the drivers of its supplier.
It doesn't matter what it is always a good idea before re-install/upgrade to log on to the computer support page, download independent drivers from there and put them on a flash drive.

My Dell Inspiron 530 sudenlly crashed, I could not start it. I called for the support of a group that I paid for. Technicians helped me start the PC, but they could not fix the screen resolution: in the display settings window, the cursor is on the left end of the bar, the low position and could not be moved. The technician finally asked me to save the folders files and reinstall Windows Vista. After the relocation, the screen resolution problem persisted. Technicians then reformat the HD, then reinstall Windows Vista again, the result was the same. We cannot change the resolution. Help, please.

Hi all. I reinstalled who, install all drivers card mother plaplapla... Can I get the problem. When the computer install updates and restart the computer, just tested something: ' installation updated 1/3 0% "you know, it is allmost allways, but then comes the message as (sorry its Finnish and I translate Finnish to English., but I try):"configuration of updates failed. Updates to repeal. Do not close computer. "And then like 15 minutes and the computer to reinstall and updates are not installed. Even my friend don't know what to do, then, he said, that I should ask here. Sorry on my text, now is 04:15 clock, I tried to fix this several hours. Well reinstall Windows Vista - MAJOR problem...
For not giving all my cleaning stuff correctly a system, but I need help with something that makes me really mad. It's about Vista and something weird with the file system.
I service computers to save his life, im pretty well informed and have tried many ways to solve this problem. I do NOT consider formatting and reinstallation of a viable option. How I reinstall Windows normally from the beginning is the same...
FOR XP:
Demarrer start from a NTFS disk, rename all the critical road as folders... Windows, Program Files, Documents and settings, System Volume INformation, etc... Delete all files in root folder and fresh install of Windows. Beautiful... works great... never lose anyones information.
ON VISTA:
Same steps, but without worrying if I boot from Vista dvd to access NTFS, or my special disk to access NTFS as I've used for years, the problem is that...
I can rename Windows, Program Files, and the program data of the road after a bit of a hassle.
I can rename users! Users and it sticks until I have install Vista and then I have a blue users and a black use. I don't want 2 of them. I tried a clean install of Vista without format. If I format everything is normal.
I WANT all THE PERMISSIONS of FILES on disk INTEGER stripped of their security. Vista has mucked up with permissions no matter what Im tired. I stick the drive in another machine from Vista or XP, PROPERTY of FLYING another machine - it purrs the long hours just to not do anything sometimes. I try to rename some files - access denied. Desintination folder refused or regardless of the battery without end of the errors I get doing something simple as rename a stack of records to back/NTFS. I don't want users crowded with all _ like...------.
Record users:
Dave
Dave.000
Dave.Windows.000
By default
Default.000
Default.Windows.000
etc etc.and all _ that happens out there.
Very simple. I want a tool that strips off EACH single authorisation makes all readable as if it were a normal readable by ALL leaders.
Take possession does not really work in Vista.
ICLACLS or something else that was I used the other day has allowed me to rename them, but when I reinstalled Vista it their fame users and installed over the old virus plagued by files.So... my questions are... How can I rename all files from the road and install fresh Vista without having to save the entire disk (from the hundreds of concerts) somewhere else, the format and copy this whole mess back.
(A) rename all files with no hassle of permission
(B) fully to support all permissions like how XP used to work
(C) give me a utility that removes a complete player all it's permissions and security (best solution) or at least streams how XP has worked since I never once has problems with XP that convert all files.
(D) someone explain to me how an operating system is unable to copy same files correctly? (related to Vista) - it is slow and is not always copy everything - once more... back to permissions. What you did MS smear filesystem up to SO bad. ???Hey PerryCS,
I think that the terminology that Michael used is to start, but is the correct terminology for Vista. XP has a "repair installation" option Vista has not just as an installation option more. How to imitate the old XP Repair install in Vista is known as an Inplace Upgrade Installation. So you see the upgrade is a rather unfortunate misnomer. Inplace upgrade as installation functions where Vista reinstall it s self, writing and replace system files, so that theoretically do not damage or over writing files of program or personal data. I hope my explanation makes sense.

XPS M1330 can not find network card after reinstalling Windows Vista
Hi all
I'm passing my computer to a member of his family and wanted to give them a new installation, so I used the disc of Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) shipped with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows tells that there are no available networks. When I chose "Why doesn't windows find all networks" he stated that "this computer doesn't have a wireless network installed and configured card". I put in the Dell driver and Utilities CD that shipped with the computer and installed the drivers which seemed related to networking or communications, but the problem persists. I guess it's some sort of driver problem (as the computer used wireless before the reformat (a few hours ago) and so the device itself seems to work.)
I would greatly appreciate any help to get this race. :)
Thank you!
Hi Chris,
Please share the system model and the operating system installed on your computer?
If you are facing problems with the wireless, you can follow the steps below to check if the drivers are listed as installed in the Device Manager:
- Press 'Windows' + 'R' key on keyboard.
- Type "devmgmt.msc" into the box run without quotes.
- In the Device Manager window, expand network adapters and verify if your wireless card is on the list.
If the wireless driver is not present in the system and is displayed as a network controller in the section other devices with a yellow question mark, you can download the drivers from the link: http://dell.to/QjjZDA -> Enter-> the serial number of your system, select the operating system-> expand the category network to download/install wireless drivers
I hope this helps. Please respond to the findings.

Two computers with Windows Vista has problems with (screens going blank).
We have a Sony Vaio laptop and an HP Touchsmart with Windows Vista. Last week Sony screen turned black and jumped, then back with the message saying there was an error with the NVIDIA GRAPHICS DRIVER, the driver had stopped working properly. You had to do repair system, which then gave me an option to do system restore to the previous time. Done this and back Sony a bit, then the screen went black and had to repeat the process. Long story short, it won't restore or do something. HP Touchsmart now do the same thing. Anyone having this problem?
If you have the message on which you say that you did - it's a driver problem or a video card problem. If you allowed Microsoft to update your nVidia driver - that might be the root of your problem. It is possible that both machines have nVidia video cards, maybe even the same. In any case - the solution remains the same for at least the one you quoted the error for.
Download and install the latest video card for any device driver is installed and if this does not work - could be material.
I'm guessing that the machines are in the same place - same meaning House or business? If they are connected to a regulation of output/device which could damage the components via automatic voltage of the voltage drops and overvoltages?

I had to reinstall windows - all of my previous programs seem to be in a folder called windows.old, but they won't work here. How to restore these? In particular, I would like to recover my old Windows Mail settings and files and also norton antivirus.
Here is the procedure to retrieve the data from Windows.old: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932912/. You can't recover programs from windows.old - which is not possible.
I hope this helps.

I have problems with viewing and downloading videos
Hi I'm trying to watch videos in youtube and windows media player, but I can't do it. I use Windows XP Professional when I start watching a video, it starts to download and then I get the circle to peas autour going around and around but it does not play when she plays it stops and how can I solve this problem?
Thank youE-mail address is removed from the privacy *.Hi upthearts,
One of the possible reasons could be the speed of the internet thanks to which time can take to the buffer. It has one or more of the following could cause this;
· The Internet connection speed
· Amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) used on the computer
· Amount of memory available on the computer
Method 1: You can pause the video and let the video buffer for a few minutes before selecting the 'Play' button again. Giving the download a few minutes to catch up while the video is paused can help solve the problem.
When the bar of State indicates the video transfer or the download is complete, resume playback of the video using the controls.
Method 2: You can also contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to check connection problems.

Can I reinstall Windows vista 64 bit with a product key.
Original title: Switch system
I have a 64-bit Windows license and the product code on my computer. Caused by a virus I took it to a repair store. Back in the Properties section it now shows as a 32-bit system and is included in the new product code the letters OEM. Can I reinstall the original 64 bit system using the product code? If I do I risk reinfecting my system with the virus? It is common for repair shops to install another operating system?

... Technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology on my Ideapad Y560
Has been published since the last Windows Update (happened to autoamtically in the background ) I now have a few latencies.
It seems to come from the LatencyMon also says iastor.sys driver.
Tried to install the version the more recent but no luck. STIL have these DPC latencies every few minutes.
I also see the spike in ProcessExplorer and DPC latency.
How can I fix it (without breaking my Windows 7)?
Seems, I solved it, updated Atheroes AR9285 to 10.0.0.75 downloaded from http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=37&system=6
Lenovo should add these drivers to their download pages ;-)
