• AIR-LAP1131AG question

  I have connected an AIR-LAP1131AG-3560G and can see that the port given power in the newspapers, but nothing else - nothing in CDP, port watch also down/down.  The status light on the top of the AP is showing as blue/green, which, according to the docs, means that it is initializing the Flash file system, but it's just sitting there.  I installed 12 APs, and two of them have this problem.  I know they all work a few weeks back because I upgraded the software on them to 7.0.98.0 before their shipment to the site.

  Any ideas on what could be the cause?  What is a wiring problem?  These two APs are on the same floor of a building and I wonder if the wiring was sloppy.  I can't imagine the two of them developing a hardware failure, but the status light may think otherwise.  Any thoughts appreciated.

  You have 3560G, which is good. You can use the TDR function to test the cable.  I suspect that with a cable fault.  Here's how:

  1. use the command "test tdr cable interface.

  2. wait about 7-10 seconds.

  3. Enter the command 'sh cable tdr interface.

  I thought that I had ordered a 1130ag but looks like I ordered a 1131ag LWWAP.

  This happens all the time, so it shouldn't be a problem :) I'm guessing that you have received this AP - AIR - LAP1131AG - x - K9 LWAPP. When you really wanted this AP - AIR-AP1131G-x-K9 Cisco IOS software. Look at the comparison;

  Any body knows how to collect S/N series AP 1000 (not physically)...

  I don't have my WCS upward, but I'm fairly certain you can run a report of inventory with S/N, etc. If you don't have a WCS you can go in the CLI and run the following:

  I want to make a site using Airmagnet survey and a Cisco AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9.   In the past, I did all my studies of site using the 1000 series LWAPP APs.  The 1000 series APs had a setting of the dip switches that I needed to change by taking the side panel off the coast of the AP.   It worked very well.

  With the AP 1131, I wonder if the same option exists to LWAPP mode or if I need to convert offline and then simply use the value default 'tsunami' SSID for my site survey process.

  I have a 4402 WLC and LWAPP AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9 connected to it.

  I've been struggling with the config for some time now.

  I have a laptop next to who will not see the SSID I configured it broadcast.

  I saw this in HP laptops some time there and his call "LAN Switching".  By default, it is disabled on BIOS.

  Looks like we're hitting the software bug CSCsj69497 but its 4.2.173 fixed to... (but we are short of 4.2.207)

  1) Go to your Computer and from the tool menu -> folder options ->uncheck the hide extensions for known file types option. 

  2) Download the IOS image ( you can get this ios image from cisco.com) on your desktop.

  3) Rename the image into c1130-k9w7-tar.default

  4) Give your computer Ethernet an address in the range 10.0.0.2 till

  10.0.0.30

  5) Run the tftp server on your computer.

      - Make sure that the directory of your tftp server is the desktop.

      - Specify the AP address on the tftp server if needed.

  6) Connect the AP to the computer with Ethernet cable.

  7) Remove the power from the AP.

  8) Press and hold Mode button on the AP, and insert the power jacket in the AP.

  9) Keep pressing on the Mode button for (20-30 seconds) until you see RED Led.

  10) Wait until the image installed and all led lights return to green 

  doesn't make sure that no firewall or antivrus is running on your computer.

• How toggle radios in a LWAP?

  I recently updated an AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9 to AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9. The LWAP associated with my Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) AIR-CT5508-12-K9, but when you go to the WLC: Wireless--> Access Points--> Radios, you can see that the radios and B/G in the AIR-LAP1132AG-A-K9 are in working condition: "DOWN".

  Is it possible to allow this radio?

  Change the power settings on the AP connected via PoE to "Preinstalled" state and changed the power settings on the two AP's
  
  connected via power injector to "Power-injector installed" state.
  
  To change the power setting on the AP, from GUI, go to Wireless -> Click on the required access point -> Advanced -> Select
  
  "Preinstalled" or "Power-injector Installed"

• Cannot save with WLC 4402 LAP

  I have cisco WLC (AIR-WLC4402-12-K9) with two LAP (AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9) connected to move and one of the TOUR is able to register with WLC while the other was autonomous AP which has been converted to KNEES who fails to register with WLC. I see that the AP is able to enter the Ip address and even joined the WLC but fails to register. Please help us solve this problem. I have attached all papers relevant to this case.   I don't understand.  You have TWO 2 1131AG.  We joined for the last two days and another recently joined.  Say the other keeps "bouncing"?

  I have an iPad 2 air in perfect condition, since it first came out. I have the cell phone/Wifi version with Verizon. My problem has been lately, when connected to wifi, the wifi shuts on the iPad many times when using, and more so at rest.
