AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 by CLI configuration

I have a lot of AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 devices to configure and the cli is frusterating-don't, someone at - it a link to a step by step document that crosses to assign an IP address, SSID and allowing radios using the CLI? I can't find one that works completely. I just need to assign an ip address, so I can use the web gui!

'option 43 hexagonal f104c0a80a05' looks right to me...

If you're talking about only a few APs, you could hold the AP in the same vlan as the WLC Management Interface and allow discovery by diffusion... Once he knows the controller you could put in a different subnet and you don't even need option 43.

But then again, Option 43 I guess is a safe bet to ensuring that the always AP knows an IP address to find out.

The main thing that I know will have to be made through ASDM is manage bookmarks SSL VPN client and other pages. All the other stuff you mentioned can be done through CLI. I like to use a hybrid of CLI & ASDM when I managed firewalls. I prefer to see the logs on the ASDM so, real-time log buffer is an excellent tool.

I have a couple of these nine APs but apparently through the CLI (serial connection) I can not put the command "configure." I access mode privilege with the password, but after that I can't do anything.

Most I've seen on the cisco site that for the first 5 minutes, that it should give the ip address 10.0.0.1 and the Browse... but I tried 10.0.0.20/24 and nothing.

This is the first time that I have set up, you can suggest something?

Hello, Im new in the wireless. IM want to connect AIR-WLC4402-25-K9 in my lab with switch cisco 3560. WLC I have two 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports connected to GigE

Unfortunately, FastEthernet is not an option with the WLC4400s. They require 1000/Full interfaces or they will not come to the top. You must connect the WLC gigabit interfaces.

Regarding the file of configuration on the WLC

I would like to replace an AIR-WLC4402-25-K9 with AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 because of the amount of AP problem. The two controllers are running on the same version of the software 4.2.61.0. Just out of curiosity, can I just backup the old configuration and download to the new controller? I guess it should work. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Any input will be appreciated.

It should work, because the difference between them is at a level of asic and not a config. As long as you don't have two of them on the wire at the same time there should be no problem.

Alternatively, you can shoot the show running-config to the WLC-25 and then download that the WLC-50 in the config > mode

question about configuration transfer 4402 WLC

I am thinking to replace an AIR-WLC4402-25-K9, which runs on the code 4.2.61.0 with an AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 running on 7.0.116.0. Can I back up the configuration of the AIR-WLC4402-25-K9 and restore it on AIR-WLC4402-50-K9? Otherwise, what is the best way to set up the AIR-WLC4402-50-K9? What I have to set it up from scratch?

Nope! many new features is different in the code! the best way is to upgrade the WLC 4.2 to atleast 5.2 and more... coz the format of config backup is completely different in the two entities...

Sorry for a fundamental question about AIR for BB10. I have several AIR apps on PlayBook and now reuse for BB10 phone. Under AIR Developer documentation refers only to PlayBook. Is the AIR process/tools for a phone BB10 even it was for PlayBook? Is it simply a matter of target an existing AIR application to a different screen and then size by selecting a phone BB10 device in the App Store to get the published application? What version of AIR is supported?

I have looked for documentation but am unable to find those who said how to do that via the interface user, and I don't see any obvious place where this could be. Someone managed based on setting this up? I would prefer SSH but telnet will do.

Hi Sarah, small business wireless products do not support a CLI configuration, so no document. In addition, the only management options would be via http/https and SNMP V1, 2, 3.

Contents/chapters/review of CCNA certification change over the years almost on regular basis. What part of the CCNA it a few years ago could already be excluded. This applies to DSL technology. A few years ago, she was part of the CCNA (CCNA4 as subject WAN training programs) related, but this is no longer a part of CCNA.

WLC Configuration backup

Is there a way to start a backup of a series of WLC 4400 of the CLI configuration?

(1) connect controller cli.

(2) enter transfer upload config datatype

(3) If you want to encrypt the following

(a) enter transfer encrypt enable

(b) enter transfer encrypt whole-key

(4) enter transfer upload Ipserver

(5) enter the download transfer path

(6) enter transfer download filename

(7) enter the beginning of transfer download

(8) to confirm the give 'y '.

AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 v03 not join WCS 5.2.130.0

The difficulty in reaching my new 1142 s ap to the controllers.

I have 2 controllers AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 with 50 licenses each and about 75 total s AP.

I never tried to join an AP before 1142. But join 1130 AP works very well. So my network settings should be OK.

I googled without finding the right info. I understand that the WCS 5.2 should support the 1142, or maybe I'm wrong?
