AirPrint for HP officejet 4500

The OfficeJet 4500 G510n is able to support airprint to peripheral iOS5 through our wireless network?

@Coultj

The Officejet 4500 not updated that would airprint. If you want to print to the printer, try the Hp ePrint mobile app.

Let me know if it helps.

  • failure to scan, copy and fax for HP Officejet 4500

I'm trying to scan with my HP Officejet 4500 and it is not allowing me to do. When I turn on the printer it says "failed to scan. "Cannot scan, copy or fax. When I try to scan, I have the wireless option to send it to my computer and when I choose my computer, nothing happens and it takes back me to the scan, copy, fax menu.

I tried installation and resettlement and unistalling too many times. I also unplugged all the wires. Nothing works. I had problems with this mutiple printer and it is not even a month. How can I solve this problem.

I'm afraid that the error you are getting means that the firmware is glitched, or the scanner lamp is out. If the firmware is glitched, the printer might actually be fixable, but if the scanner lamp is out, there is no much you can do. The document below will take you through a few steps to try. If this does not work, try to do a partial reset. If nothing works, you need to replace your printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

HP Technical Support call case form:
    http://goo.GL/w7Hgh

A "Failure of the Scanner" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax:
    http://goo.GL/KULAv

    To make a partial reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
5 connect the power supply cord inot the wall, but do not connect the printer.
    6. press 3 and # buttons.
    7. while now buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. when the lights come on, release the buttons.

    Hi Diana,
Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:

    2. open the dialog box run by clicking on the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir%, and then click OK.
    3. type hpoins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
    4. type hpwins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)

  • Cannot install drivers for HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z (stuck control systems)

    -Officejet 4500 G510n-z

    -Windows 7 Home Premium

    -No specific error message

-A occurred since the first attempt

So here's the order of things:

    (1) attempt to hook the printer via USB to install printer drivers. Windows says it's failed to find drivers.

    (2) download the drivers (basic and complete) online.

    (3) try to install the driver. The installation process gets stuck checking of the system, which is the first step after the extraction of the file indefinitely.

    4) try again with the pilot basis with similar results.

    (5) turn off the firewall to avoid problems, try once more. He tells me that it can not extract, so I go in the temporary folder in which the files were extracted and delete them.

    (6) reboot, try again. Yet once, gets stuck checking the system.

I'd love to rub it using the CD, but the problem is that the CD has been lost for a long time. If there is no other way to fix it, how can I get another CD?

  • Apple Airprint for HP Officejet 6500 has more via a wired connection to the router

    Hello

So I did a considerable amount of research in this through the internet and this forum and I still struggle to find a satisfactory solution.

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a more connected by ethernet to my BT Homehub 3.

It is I understand that even if there is a wired connection, as long as my iOS device (iPad 2 or iPhone 5) is connected to the same router, I should still be able to see this Officejet thanks to ease of airprint.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I get the message "No Airprint Printers Found" on both devices. The only way I managed to get my Mac Pro (Mavericks) to connect has been add to mannualy by using the IP address of the printer.

Can anyone provide guidance on what I might hurt? Certainly, the printer must connect internet I can print from my iOS devices using HP ePrint app for iOS.

Some might say, well, what's the problem, just use the HP application, but is not the point. I think that if something has been set up to make things easier, then use it. I chose this printer specifically for this feature is a bit frustrating for her so difficult to get the desired results.

Hope it is something simple and anyone can help you.

    Thank you

    Steve

Following this request and reading the many more similar questions, I think I may have solved this.

I'm not 100% sure but I read a few threads suggests that there are issues around BT Homehub 3 and Hello so this can be a problem.

I tried the following in the past two days...

    (1) completely don't reset my router (wiped all settings and started)-no luck!

    (2) I tried changing to WPA2 to just WPA security - no luck!

    (3) tried to convey the Hello to the printer ports - no luck!

    (4) turn off the router, printer and all the devices iOS then fed back router, printer, then iOS devices - printer appears on iOS devices, but when printing was selected iOS device returned on several occasions not connected printer error.

Finally, what seems to have made (at least for now) has been...

    (1) disconnected the Officejet ethernet and set up as wireless.

    (2) off voltage router, printer and all iOS devices then propelled upward in the order listed previously.

    (3) so far, I tried to print a mail and a web page of my iOS devices, and both have been successful.

By the way I've been struggling also to airplay from my iPhone / iPad until I started messing around with the settings above, and now this question also seems to be resolved.

Due to the variety of combinations (different printers, routers, etc.) people will have, it seems to be quite difficult to find a solution that solves a single problem but I hope some of my experiences and findings could help others in some way.

  • Impossible to run the installer for HP officejet 4500 G510 install on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Toshiba Satellite. Any ideas how to fix?

Setup running on the HP disc will not work.  No error message, stops just until it loads the installation program.

I downloaded the site Installer Internet HP (versions complete and base).  Same results - cannot run the installation program.

I contacted Toshiba, which says it's a problem of Windows 7, and communicate with Microsoft.

I installed this printer at least 10 times on some other operating systems without problem.

  • Windows 10 for Officejet 4500 driver

    Hello

I've updated from windows 8.1 windows 10 and after my windows activation, even once, I did a clean install of my windows.

After a successful installation and activation of windows, tried to install the printer driver using the driver windows 8.1.

Installation began, but after the detection of the printer, it hangs at 'check' HP scan interface 2 to 92% and stays there... I tried your solution given in your website and forums as the restart and everything, but nothing works. I have my printer connected via an Ethernet cable with my router.

We need drivers for windows 10 for HP officejet 4500 G510 series printers. Impossible to find on the pilot and Web site download page.

Can you ensure that your Windows 10 updates are installed and up to date?

As long as you have selected Win 10 on HP site, it must download to win 10, so ned not to worry if it says otherwise.

In addition, initially, I was able to print but not scan.  The HP software uninstalling and installing this package from Apple was a work around that allowed me to do both.  You can highlight on the page of support of 4500's for Mac:

Thank you for your message and share your experience. I happy that you can analyze now after I installed the driver for printer HP from the Apple Web site package.

Currently we have no information when a full features software will be available for your device and the Cougar. However, we have the solution via Apple Software Update and HP Printer Driver Update that provides print drivers, faxind and digitization through Capture of Image.
