  Click the icon for your profile and scroll down to the tip. Then select the profile you want to edit. You will see then a whole list of things that you can change the alert for. For example, click on "phone". Your first setting is "off the case". This means that you don't have the phone mode "sleep" or in an approved Holster BB. You can change this voice against zero which means no warning at all. Tone would be your choice of ringtone. Vibe and ring would vibrate THEN ring. Vibrate is vibrate. Next option is tune. You can select a preloaded ringtone, or if you want to choose a song that you downloaded browse choose music, and song. Then is volume. Low medium high climbing or none. Then repeat the notification is none or flashing LED. When turned on your status light flashes red for a long time after you have missed a call. This works for other alerts as well.   I just got my Storm this week (my first Blackberry) and managed to configure my emails to my gmail account (the single e-mail account I set up at the moment). I noticed that when I set up my gmail account a new icon appeared on my Menu for my emails gmail next to the normal 'Messages' icon. Whenever I get an email from my gmail times the normal icon to 'Messages' account and gmail email message icon inform me that I have an email. What is the point to this?

  The only thing I can think is that the "Messages" icon shows you all the emails received by all registered email accounts. Is this the case? In this case, I'll just hide the gmail icon and use the standard Messages icon.

  Could someone let me know on this subject? Even if I just answered my own question! P

  Also when I was installing my sound notifications for text messages I saw 'Level 1' on the list of notifications that you can change the settings. What is a 'Level 1' notification?

  You can save contacts with some third-party application such as Backup Pro or Ultimate Backup, found in your AppWorld. Then once you are sure that you have backed up, wipe your local Contacts to your main settings > accounts > icon right three lower points > clear local Contacts.   What Windows Mail in Vista or Windows Live Mail in Win7? If it is a POP3 account, you can filter your messages by using message rules. This is for Outlook Express, but it works the same either of the programs.

  The only change that you can do is, go to: settings, Notifications, drag upward on the screen to view Contacts, press Contacts, click Customize for the Contact, tap the contact, tap e-mail Messages, Turn Off the alerts you want.

  Whenever you have set up a new e-mail address on your phone, your phone is supposed to be a new icon on your home screen.  If this is not the case with your phone, start by seeing if it is hidden on you (these icons like play games).  While on your home screen, press the menu key and select Show all if this is an option.

  If it does not appear as an option, you may try to set up the e-mail again account.  Go to the configuration of e-mail icon or use the BIS from your provider for self-service site do.

First of all when I go to the Setup Wizard for email set up it shows only a single option that is.  You want to use a work email account and do not show the other option.
