Alienware m11x wireless can not connect online

Hello

Very pleased with my new laptop; However, could not connect online with my wireless feature. I have another laptop at home and it can connect with a Wi - Fi connection. The m11x can be connected via a wired connection.

I'm running a full edition of Windows 7.

I got tired of updating the website of dell DW1520, uncheck TCP6 (which shouldn't make a difference), turning on and off of the driver, type the IP address and DNS server manually. Another strange thing is, when I connect with wired setting, he says: I'm also connected wireless. Wireless fails and connects sometimes. Most of the time, it fails.

I'm tired of everything I know and come from the fact that I really need help.

Thank you

Anderson

I have a WRT610Nv1. It worked perfectly for about a year until my internet whent out. I have reset my modem and the router and one day more late my wireless connection could not connect to the internet. I can connect to my wireless router, but I can't do it to the interenet. However, if I use a wired connection, I can connect to the internet. I have tried power cycling, releasing the ip - IP, MAC address, change the beacon interval, fragmentation & rts threshold, change the ip address of the router, encryption, disable my firewall, disabling of cloning to renew the upgrade of the firmware.

I even bought a new WRT610Nv2 and had the same problem. I spent four hours on the phone with support linksys technique, and they couldn't help. Only, they went through the basics and everything I had already tried. I call the comcast tech support, and they say it's a problem of router and they can't help me.

Finally! I copied the MAC address of my wireless card and manually put in the MAC address clone. This does not work, then I went back and clicked on the 'Clone MAC from my PC' button (which I had already done a dozen times before). After ten days, I guess the stars were aligned and the network gods were looking down on me because he suddenly started working.

So I'm crazy and tried to restart my laptop, and it still works. So for fear of messing with anything now, but I'm going to live dangerously and turn on encryption.

Thanks to all those who have offered support.

  • Router WRT54GS wireless can not connect to internet

I am now using a WRT160N router, everything is ok, nothing happens

I have a (ver 6) WRT54GS wireless router that I have not used for 2 years.

yesterday I took the WRT54GS out of the Junk box and replaced the WRT160N by the WRT54GS

I have a desktop computer that is wired & wireless laptops. My Office recognizes the local network and my laptop signal but the my router cannot connect to the internet.

    I tried everything:

    reset

    firmware update

    but nothing has worked

If anyone can help. my ISP is comcast and it comes to my modem http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Cable-Modems-and-Gateways/SURF...

Bypass the router and connect the master computer directly to the modem.

Make sure that you can access the Internet on your primary computer directly via the modem.

Connect the modem to the Internet port and main computer to the Ethernet port on the router.

Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it manually.

Follow this link to configure the router with cable Internet service.

  • I have been connected to the internet (wireless), then I unplugged the router and now I can not connect to internet. I tried diagnose the problem, but he said that he could not.

I have a wireless internet connection for my laptop. I was connected to the internet, and it worked very well, so I had to unplug my router and all of a sudden I can't connect to the internet more. When I open the available networks, I hit connect on mine and he said: it does not work then I hit "diagnose the problem" and then, he says he can't. Also it is not even give me the option to set my password to connect to my network, but it does when I try to connect to any other.

I suggest to unplug all your network cables and unplug the adapter from your modem AND router. ONLY plug your modem back power adapter in. Wait until you get a steady green light on your router, which indicates that it is ready. Then, connect the ethernet cable from your modem to your router INTERNET port. Connect the ethernet cable from your computer to any other ETHERNET port on your router. Finally turn the monitor for your router.

If you do not do so in this order, the router can not connect properly to the internet because it doesn't have the correct IP address of your modem.

  • Satellite Pro A100: Why can not connect Internet with the net card

I can't connet Internet whith this net card, but I always connect it with a wireless network card

    Hello

I put t know why you can not connect to the internet, but we need to study a little.
Have you checked if the network card has been properly installed? The network adapter appears in Device Manager correctly?

What do you use to connect to the internet; Modem or router WLAN?
Have you checked the TCP/IP protocol if the IP address setting has been configured to automatically get?

Check if there is an active firewall

As you can see, there are a lot of restrictions and everything must be checked!

Note: most Windows XP computers came with a Norton or McAfee free trial pre-installed. When you perform a clean installation of Windows XP by using the disks that came with the computer or the hidden restore partition, the free trialware is reinstalled (but invalid). You MUST (a) uninstall the free-trial version AND THEN (b) download/run the appropriate removal tool & restart (c) PRIOR to installation of a legitimate antivirus application (for example, Norton Security Suite freebie) AND BEFORE install any update of Windows (including the Service Packs & IE8).

    Network connection problem

    Hi all

After cleanind my registry with Wise Registry Cleaner, I can not connect to the internet. Network LAN and wireless do not work. Windows 7 has diagnosed the problem and says the following:

There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection card

Windows could not automatically bind the pile of IP protocol for the network card.

There might be a problem with the driver for the connection to the Local network map

Windows could not automatically bind the Protocol IP on the network card stack.

Similar to Wireless adapt. The problem is probably not the antivirus program, since I have only deinstaled and the problem persists. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but no solution again. I can't do a system restore point before cleaning the registry, because Windows could not find a file that is needed for the restore. I restored again since before saved registry cleaning but no help.

Any other ideas please. This really seems teribble :(

  • DW1501 Wireless card not connected

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and installed all necessary drivers on my Dell Inspiron N5010.

Everything works perfectly except the wireless card, and when I say everything that I really mean every thing in this laptop works except wireless.

It seems that I can't turn on the wireless card and Dell PC Diagnostics tell me that the wireless adapter is disconnected.

I have all the drivers installed and I installed them in the order that it was suggested on this forum. In the Device Manager it tells me that the driver is installed and that the device is functioning properly.

I activated the Wifi with the F2 key, but it still does not work. Dell QuickSet says that Wifi is turned on, but the wireless card does not work.

Can you help me please? Is there something I can do?

    Ariel.Demian,

I can give you to download and install drivers, but first let's try this...

Download and run the AVG removal tool , and then restart your computer. See if you can connect. If you still can not connect, then start, Control Panel, programs and features, Zone Alarm, uninstall.

Restart your computer and try to connect.

I just want to start by saying it is a well known problem, but I looked and didn't see any patches for this, I checked tons of threads & messages on more than 10 Web sites & found nothing.

    I tried the following:
    I tried FN + F2, I tried F2

I therefore tried to turn it on using the settings & nothing happened. He froze in the off position. I then tried using airplane mode and nothing worked so I decided to upgrade to windows 10 to see if it would fix it. Nothing happened.
