  Start - type in the search box-> find CMD in top - click right on - RUN AS ADMIN

• El capitan 10.11.6 freezes randomly without safe mode

  So, after the upgrade to El Capitan on my iMac, retina pro, I started to have problems with the mac that freezes all the time (yesterday, couldn't work because it freezes a few minutes after opening--more than 10 times).

  Tried all that I found in the forums, and not not not using SAFARI, unplug the video plugins, diagnostic app, etc. Nothing works

  It only works on safe mode, but does not have the extension to see videos for example (which I need to work).

  Today, it happens the same thing - I'm in safe mode to write the email now, or would freeze already.

  What is happening is that by using the mac without safe mode, the mouse + keyboard freezes and nothing else happens.

  It's really annoying - I just changed from windows to have a reliable system that is certainly not the case.  Has anyone observed this behavior and is there a solution?

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem / test? Really panic - computer is less then 1 year.

  PS: I do not know how to make the backup of the system so can not go back to the last installation (as indicated in some forum).

  Usually problems are caused by old or incompatible software or other software that you can have as "cleaners" or antivirus.

  Launch Etrecheck (a utility by a respected member of the community) and post the report here.

  I have exactly the same problem with Toshiba Satellite L670... for some reason it randomly freezes and can only be turned off by pressing the power button for several seconds.

  Honestly, I have not used the version 6 years as it was in 2005 desupported. All I can say is that you are trying to test in client/server. This would rule out a problem aside from customer like JRE, browser, etc. It would also exclude a matter of intermediate level. If the problem recurs in client/server, which suggests a problem with the runtime, the datbase, or your application code. For enforcement issues, all you can do at this point is apply the latest available patch series. For database problems, you will first need to determine if there was a problem with the procs of your data or db (as appropriate). Patch the PB would also be an option according to your old version. And then finally, to debug your application code.

  It might be a good time to start thinking about a plan to upgrade, including the operating system. ;)

  Back to firefox after buying a new laptop, I had problem regularly for the next 2 weeks:
  While browsing randomly, firefox will make my computer freeze everything at irregular intervals. The only solution is a manual restart.
  I went through all the troubleshooting page, disabled all my modules and extensions, but the problem continues which appear. It is very difficult to identify what happens bad, even if, as it seems to happen so randomly. I don't get any crash report.

  CPU: Phenom II X 4 965 BE

  RAM: Corsair Vengace 8 GB (2x4gb) 1600 CL9

  PSU: 500W

  I ran tests:

  Memtest: 2 pieces of RAM moved together, between banks for 12 hours - no error

  Memter: one piece of ram at a time in 4 different banks each for 7 hours - no error

  Stability test OCCT for 3 hours - no crash

  Prime95 test 1 hour - no crash

  GPU has beed tested in another PC and works without any problem

  Accidents seem random.

  PC can get a bsod while using an internet browser (opera and IE also) or during a game (Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, games, F2P, Eveonline etc.).

  The system is clean installed yesterday with driveres up-to-date.

  Used Whocashed to try to locate the troublemaker of disorders, but without result.

  There is certainly no problem of software here, I'll tell you that much. This very much looks like failing RAM currently, or the motherboard as you said.

  How do you use your RAM via the BIOS? I * do * it passes Memtest, but it can still be misconfigured. I reset the CMOS for testing purposes and leave everything to default settings, not to touch even the DRAM timings. Leave for what she restores.

  I bought a new M200 Tablet PC January last year, and I was happy with my choice. But 3-4 months ago launched machine fo freeze randomly when running Win XP Tablet edition - from initial installation. I reinstalled using the recovery DVDs, but not pursued gel model. And for about 2-3 weeks he startet freeze every time I used windows - after using it for about 2-20 minutes...

  I tried to install win2k and the latest beta2 of Vista, but Ut still freezing. - Then I made a funny discovery... It never froze when running one of these versions of win in safe mode! I can run for hours with no problems - but it's not funny to use it in safe mode all the time but...

  I can restart only by pressing the power button. It also does not save user names and passwords even if I permanently authorizes to invite when appears.   Been having a problem for a while now and it seems that its getting worse. I'm having crashes completely random, random and systemic.  By chance I mean I don't know how to reproduce the problem, it can happen at any time. It often happens in the middle of a drawing in paint Studio Clip (annoying!) or after my iMac wakes up and I'll enter my password (also maddening!).  It could happen tomorrow, in two weeks then and perhaps a few hours from there and then maybe three weeks later. It's very random, but it happened at least a dozen probably several times in the past 6 months that I have owned this computer and I'm losing work because of this.

  What's happening: I'll take the spinning beachball, and will boost the my CPU to 100% according to a third-party application that is located in the menu bar called menu meters. The system is not responding, can't do anything else than to force quit apps. If I force quit all open applications, and then relaunch Finder, the system does NOT come out of it, I have to restart the iMac. Once again, I leave the computer at night to see if it would finally come to, but it won't.

  I am at a loss. I ran first aid on all my drives, ran diagnostics hardware at startup,... advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I have AppleCare but thought I'd try here first.

  I think the HARD drive is a bad thing. Check with utility disk first aid.

  And personal Adobe something wrong. Remove and reinstall from scratch could solve the problem.

• MacBook Air freezes randomly

  Hi all

  I had a problem with my Macbook Air early 2015 since nearly a month. I freeze random OS experience (I'm under OS X El Capitan 10.11.4): the cursor moves and the keyboard is unresponsive, so I can't do anything at all. The only thing I can do to "unlock", it requires the laptop to restart (by turning manually him off and then back on). This problem occurs more or less one or two times a week and I didn't notice a particular task or request that I am running that may cause the gel. Usually, it happens while I'm surfing the web with Safari, but not all the time.

  Any ideas or suggestions on how to solve the problem?
