all my bookmarks transfer over internet explore

When I transfer on my Internet Explorer Favorites, not all of favorites on. Is there a limit on the number that can be moved Firefox? I see all my favorites in the folder My Favorites and favorites when I open IE, but only half of them a transfer on. Is there a cause for this? It's the same thing on my two machines, using Vista and 7. Thank you. Ron

Something has changed in Windows 7 a few months ago.

In Internet Explorer:

File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file

then in Firefox:

Bookmarks > organize bookmarks-> import and backup - import HTML... = HTML file
