All Windows troubleshooting services fail to start.

That's what I see every time I try to solve anything on my computer. I did a little research and discovered that it could be where I tell the system to put its temporary files. The system works on an SSD. To try to reduce write operations frequent drive to extend his life, I configured the system to store the temporary files on a USB attached permanently. Thinking that this may help, I put directories separated on the root of the drive flash of TEMP and TMP and configured the system to write temporary files to them accordingly. I even copied read/write permissions to match exactly those permissions to the TEMP folder in the Windows directory in every detail. I configured the TMP to write to the TEMP on the flash drive to see if it makes a good. Will post the results.

Change on the configuration of TEMP folders: configuration of the system to write TMP file to the TEMP folder external as internal temperature, setting up records is not good. I even restarted the system. Nothing different happened. I don't want to have to reconfigure the system to write its temporary files on the system drive. Let me reiterate: the system works on an SSD and I try to keep to a minimum write operations.

Just figured it out. I used a virtual disk to store the temporary files on in a concerted effort to minimize operations of read/write on the SSD, the system works on. It turns out that the use of the RAM disk is causing retailers to not start. So I put the respective environment variables to the temporary directory by default.

    Follow these methods.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

  • Windows Firewall service does not start after the removal of Virus

    Hello

I believe that my son's computer has been infected with the Trojan.Agent.Ed virus.  I managed to remove it (from different folders in AppData), but a few vestiges remain of course.  The windows firewall service does not start - it throws an exception to access denied on startup and when I try to start the service manually.
I tried to run the Sysinternals Process Monitor to display all events ACCESS DENIED and checked the permissions on the key to registry MpsSvc in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services and compared to a corresponding Windows 7 machine.  I've even exported the key MpsSvc and sous-branches of the laptop in good health and tried to import into a failure, but the import does not seem to occur, even if it gives a message "imported".
I also tried the troubleshooting of Windows Firewall that confusedly says:
"Windows could not start the Windows Firewall... Not fixed
"Set permissions for the registry keys involved"... succeeded
"Windows Firewall service is not started. Not fixed
    "Starting the Firewall Service"... succeeded
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
    Thank you.

It seems that I solved the problem by running this:

    Hello

    1. do you have security software installed on the computer?

Try the methods provided below and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

I suggest that you disable the security software and then try to start the service and check if the problem persists.

    Note:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:

You will also need to start long-term services and check if that helps.

To view service dependencies, click the link below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/srvdep_view_service_dependencies.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 3:

Check if the computer isn't on selective startup.

How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

Configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Startand then click run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.

    (c) click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.

  • The NVIDIA NDIS IO Control Driver service failed to start

NVIDIA NDIS IO Control Driver service failed to start due to the following error: the system cannot find the specified file.

I have some NVIDIA cards, but not this one, so I can't recreate and test the suggestion...

If the RemoveNvNdis.exe does not work (I think he must disable or remove completely the service), looks like he's some NVIDIA service that tries to start when you reboot, it cannot be started for some reason any.  Looks like you don't need to start.

If you can find it in the Services of XP, you could check the properties and set the startup type to disabled, restart and see what things look like.  (Do you know how?)

If the mere presence of the Service in your list of Services, then you mind, you can also delete the Service entirely (I want to it later, just to be ordered if it is always hanging out).

  • VCenter 6 Services fail to start on startup

Physical server 2012R2 6 VCenter server stopped for hardware maintenance and booted up fine afterwards.

During the shutdown, this event was logged in the application log:

The description for event ID 1000 from source VMware VirtualCenter Server can not be found. Either the component that triggers this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event is on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information has been included in the event:

    Launch of VMware VirtualCenter shutdown

the message resource is present, but the message is not in the string/message table

After starting most of the Vcenter services had not begun, nor could they be started manually.  I it goes back to the first failure recorded in the system log:

The VMware HTTP Reverse Proxy service stopped with the following special service error:

    Incorrect function.

I can't start this service manually, it fails with the same error.  All other services fail with an error of dependence.

This is very frustrating, because we have upgraded this server from Server 2008R2 for the same reason, the service would not start.  When there are Server 2008R2 his running 5.1, we tried the upgrade to 6 but it failed and we couldn't solve it, so we completely removed Vcenter and tried a new install, it didn't until I managed to 'wrong' Setup by changing the Manager of VMware vCenter workflow service to run as local system if not always failed.  We have therefore installed and running, then after the first reboot comes to fail start services!  So we fresh installed Windows 2012R2, installed VCenter without any AV or other "crust" to make sure it would work, which was the case.  Now this 'thing' just continues to fail like that once!

DNS is fine functiong and the server has survived a number of reboots yesterday, no idea why it does not now!

    James

Thanks to the Ram from VMware support we figured out that WWW Publishing service has been installed, the value manual start, but has been started.  The VMware Reverse HTTP Proxy service is listening on port 80, so that caused a conflict.

This was due to an installation of Veeam One, which has been deleted, but left the installed IIS components.  Gahh!

Required ports for vCenter Server 6.0

How to change the TCP port for Internet Information services

    Ports: Veeam ONE Deployment Guide

Article KB of Veeam do not notify IIS components.

I do not think that this question concerns the problems we had on Server 2008R2, but given that this facility is gone, I can't confirm.

Restarting the server several times without success

    Hello William Beattie,.

    1. did you restart the computer after you complete the steps?

I suggest that you restart your computer after you complete the steps. If you already have, I suggest that you restart the computer again. Any changes made to the registry would be effective only on a reboot.

I also suggest that you perform the same steps and check the registry again and restart the computer.

Once you restart the computer, try to start the service and check if you are able to boot.
