An Audio Clip to multiple slides

Hello

I've been using Captivate for quite awhile now. During the days of Captivate 2, I could take an audio clip that has been lasts 10 seconds, for example, place it on a slide, set this slide to be long, 1 second during the execution of the project, the audio would play in the following slides. Basically, it made things easier when you were explaining a concept and want to have project type in a field at the same time.

My problem is that I could not reach this Captivate 3. Is there an audio setting that I'm not aware?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Doug

Hi Doug

The option must still exist. I remember well, it's one that you choose at the time wherever you insert the audio clip. Since you seem not to be seen, I guess that your audio clip is the same or less time than the slide where you want to insert. It is key, as the audio clip should be longer than the slide on which you are placing it in order to display the dialog box. In addition, the slide cannot be the single slide or the last slide. After all, if this is the case, there is no other slides to use.

Thus, when you try to use audio as long as the slide, you should see a dialog box with three options. The option first (or higher) simply tells Captivate to set the slide duration to match the clip.
The second (or middle) option tells Captivate to open a different dialog box allowing you to choose where the clip will break the next day however several slides. And the third (or low) option tells Captivate simply insert the clip, leave any single timing and let it break through the other slides where he's going.

You can also talk the option to edit the schedule for the whole project. To display this dialog box in Captivate 3, click the Audio > Edit Timing > project. Once this dialog box appears, you have little sliders that allow you to adjust where the audio breaks through the slides.

I hope something here has been helpful... Rick

  • How to play 1 audio MP3 on multiple slides in Captivate 5.5?

Hi, I have a project in which I have several screen 'movies', and I've separated records MP3 audio for each film.  (I use a segment for example, however I have to do this several times) the audio is maybe 3 minutes long and must be played during the "screen" movie, which is about 20 slides for a long time.  To my knowledge, I must break the MP3 audio in the 20 pieces so that each slide has only a small piece of audio.  Or, is there a right way have the audio start playing at the beginning of the film "screen" and I'll just match the timing to the voice slides as he plays without breaking apart audio?  I am using Captivate 5.5 on a MacBook Pro.  Thank you!

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

How long is the Audio files?

There is an option in Captivate 5.5 through which you can distribute your Audio files on multiple slides

    (1) right click (Control click on MAC) on the slide from which you want to start the Audio

    2) import-> Audio

    (3) you get a window, choose option 2

    (4) it will distribute Audio, depending on the length of the blades.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you

  • Import audio data across multiple slides (not all)?

Is it possible to attach audio to multiple slides (not all) as described? If so, how?

Slide 1: no audio; text communicates that this module will have audio, so the viewer must prepare by plugging in the headphones. Click the start video button when you're ready. Goes to the next slide.

Slide 2: Audio Music begins (object) and audio narration between a few seconds later, registered to the slide. Slide Intro ends, audio fades.

    Slide 3-30

Each slide has voice told to drag. I would add a SECOND file of music playing in the background to all slides #3-20.

Slide 21-23: original music played on these blades, each with voice told at bottom.

    Thank you very much.

    What version?

Some ideas: music for the file, stop on the slides 1-2 and 21-23 background.

VO as slide auido on slides where wanted.

For slide 2: audio object that can play alongside the original Version (see http://blog.lilybiri.com/audio-objects-control-them)

For slide 21-23: audio object with the object displayed for the rest of the project and hidden at the entrance to slide 24

  • Audio broadcast to multiple slides

I'm creating a software using the captivate demo and narration voice. The problem is, the program uses a lot of mouse input. Need me 8 clicks just to select a date, which creates 8 blades. I can live with the large number of slides, but my audio with slides synchronization has become a nightmare. I am looking for a better way to distribute my one sentence of audio across multiple slides. Can it be done?

I am using Captivate 5.5 and is going to publish in the form of a SWF file.

    Yes, it can:

    1. Note the number of the slide where you want your audio files to spread.
    2. Go to Audio > record... > glide.
    3. When the dialog box Audio slides opens, either record your audio slides play in the preview window, or import the audio from another place of him have divided these slides.
    4. Adjust slide markers to meet.
  • Import audio data - window of Audio sync not opening during the audio broadcast on multiple slides

    Hello

I am importing PowerPoint files in Captivate 4 with the view with audio recorded separately on top of these PPT Slides.

The PowerPoint file and associated slides to import with no problems. When I import the audio in the timeline view, it treats the MP3 file without any problem and adds the audio file to the library and the first slide. I can get the window asking me how I want to import the audio, to shich, I select the audio acorss to distribute several slides option.

In previous versions of Captivate, the Audio sync popup then appears to allow me to choose at which points to divide the audio between slides. Unfortunately the Audio Synchronization window does not appear.

My system Details are as follows:

    -PowerPoint 2007 slides

    -Captivate 4

    -Windows 7

No reason as to why this problem occurs?

    Hello

Please try to open the Captivate as an administrator-

    Solution 1:

    1. go to the Captivate installation location. Generally, it is present here-

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4

    2. right click the "AdobeCaptivate.exe' and select 'run as administrator '.

    3. now try to run the same steps. It should work

If this does not work, try the following set of steps mentioned below.

    Solution 2:

Close the Captivate and try the following.

    1. Identify the location of cmd.exe. Usually found in C:\Windows\System32\
    2. Click right-click on cmd.exe > select run as administrator
    3. Launches the command prompt
    4. Now, go to the Adobe Captivate 4 installation location. In your case, it may be C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4
    5. Now, run the command regsvr32 NSAudio.dll
    6. Once you get a confirmation dialog box, run the next command regsvr32 WaveEditCtrl.ocx
    7. Again, you should get a confirmation dialog box.
    8. Now launch Captivate and try the same steps. It should work.

  • Duration of the slide show CS5 does not again refresh audio clip

In a slide show, complete with 'Fit audio slideshow DURATION' checked (duration 00; 19; 32-24), I decided to replace the audio with a composition more short (00; 10; 00; 22). With the original audio clip erased and the new added audio clip and the 'slide show audio TIME Fit' checked, slide durations recalculated so that the last slide has a 00 exit point; 10; 00; 22 but the duration of the slide show is 'stuck' 00; 19; 32; 24. the end action takes place to return to the menu, but when the last slide goes black (at 00; 10; 00; 22) keeps him slide show running with a black screen, probably all the way to 00. 19; 32 24 before it hits the end action, even if I did not let it run again at this point. I shot 'Fit slideshow to audio duration' then turn it on again, in the hope that it will recalibrate at 00; 10; 00; 22, but the length does not change. Help, please!

Try to play with these ideas:

Uncheck "Fit to Audio duration slideshow."  (As you probably now it have anyway).

On the slide show tab basic properties, set the duration of the slide to zero.  Now, what is the length of the slide show?  The length of the audio new or old?

Or, something great (so I think that the total is more audio length) on the duration of the slide.  What is the length of the slide show?

Search now "Fit slideshow / audio.  How long is it?

I had the same symptom as you did (audio plays beyond the end of the blades) when the durations of slide added unless the audio length and 'Fit audio slideshow' was unchecked.

  • audio clips on slides

I'm a Noobie, sorry.  Want just the course to automatically move to the next slide after the reading of the file audio narration on each slide.  Thought that setting the action drag on enter = continue and exit = switch to another slide to automate this process.  The audio clips are the length of the blades in the timeline panel.  It hangs just at the end of the slide.  I have buttons in nav on the model of slides that I can use to move forward, but not what I want.  This must be the easiest thing in the world.  Yeesh.

I can run by using the action drag enter = play Audio and select the audio file, but it does not appear in the timeline panel and facilitates synchronization impossible.

    Help, please!

    Hello

Normally the slides automatically advance without a break. Chances are, the "navigation buttons" pause. Buttons usually break slides until they are clicked.

  • How can I register multiple audio clips (short) in a single long audio clip in first Pro CS5?

    Hello

The question is in the title, but I wonder how I can join multiple audio clips (short) in a single audio clip in PP CS5.5 long.  I put all my short clips just next to each other and selected all to see what options are available by clicking and using the options on the toolbar at the top.  The closest I got was to nest sequence, but not what I really want.

I want to merge all of the short videos in a single audio file (long) to use under the video.

Thoughts are welcome and much appreciated.

    Thank you

    -Melvin

O.K. This is the kind of basic and you will need to learn until on it fully... .but for now...

Make sure you have the WAB (work area bar) which covers the length of the audio clips. (You don't need to choose)

Go to the file Menu > export media

You will receive all the Export Options.  Select the Wave file

Select the option to export the work area.

Choose a location to export the file to (location HD)

    Follow your nose from there...

    ....

BTW - Why are you taking the audio to the Audition anyway? What are you going to do for her.

  • Management of multiple audio clips as one

I have a sequence with several clips.  It's a play performed on stage.  And as it usually is, the voices of the actors are sometimes strong and sometimes sweet.  I want to take advantage of the feature in hearing who can better allocate the volumes (voice), but I first want to make multiple single sequences so that I can load a single file into audition.   I don't know there is a way to make the individual clips (audio) down in first - then I can import a single file into Audition of first... right?

    Can anyone help with this?

    Here, I'm a bit confused.

You have several Clips in a single sequence (Timeline), or several sequences, each with some Audio Clips (multiple or single)?

If you have several Clips in a sequence, just export Audio in WAV/PCM for hearing.

If you have several sequences, you can nest those in another sequence and export as PCM/WAV.

    Good luck

  • Multiple instances of the same audio clip increase the size of the file?

By example, if the same audio clip is placed on layers separated five as opposed to one (5 v 1)?

    Does not Flash "dedupe"?

No, they do not increase the size of file significantly.  That is to say, the assistance of 100 cases of a noise could increase the file size of 1 KB on a single instance because noise of no added 100 times at the end of file, just the necessary info to indicate where it should play in the timeline or in your actionscript code.

  • Audio on multiple slides in Captivate 5

I'm new on using Captivate 5 and I am trying to record audio in Captivate that will play everything ahead of 3 slides on their own.

I read something on a thread which spoke by clicking a "slide divider" - I can't find the 'slide' divider and on a 'distribution window' opens once I have record audio - who never appears.

Can someone help me with this?  It seems it should be easy to find.

    Thank you

    Emily

    Hi Emily,.

You can record audio to 3 slides in different ways.

    Option 1:

You can record audio individually on all three slides by invoking the audio for each slide slide dialog box.

    1. on each slide you want to save the audio call audio slide dialog box (Audio > Record to > Slide) and record for the single slide. Record audio recorded will add it to the slide that you have recorded.

    2. you can follow step 1 for all three slides that you want to save.

    Option 2:

You can record audio for all the slides in three continuous only once. You can do this in the audio SLIDES dialog box

For ex if you want to record audio for slides 1, 2, and 3, then select slide 1 and call the slides audio audio dialog box > Record to > slides

You get a "Record of Slide" dialog box. Enter slide numbers for which you want to record audio, and then click ok.

This will open the audio slides dialog box.

Dialog box audio slide shows the slide selected in the dialog box "Record of slide. Enable "streaming" and "SWF Preview" and click on the record button. It will record audio on three slides that tell you. Audio will be added to all the slides in three. You can see the preview Movie (SWF) or the slide number, mentioned in the upper right of the preview pane for the number of the slide you are saving to.

If some parts of the audio is filled with the next slide, then you can organize the markers in the EDIT tab. Here you can play audio and pause at the place where you want your next slide to start and click on the button highlighted by Lilybiri. Its called the 'Start next slide here' button.

Once the recording is done, click SAVE to add audio to all three slides.

Try these and let me know if it works.

  • How to delete a slide and join its audio to a previous slide

    Hi all

I just started using Captivate and I'm trying to edit a record of captivate and found that Auto has created a lot of slides, I don't want to have in my presentation (such as 30 slides that have been generated for a flashing button). I recorded a live session with multiple users, audio narration recorded presentation files are now linked to the slides.

What I would really like to do now is, multiselect all the slides, I have need, delete them and at the same time to fix all of their audio files to the previous slide.

And if this is not possible, I would also welcome with another way to achieve what I need - the addition of the audio from the other slides in the first of this series.

    Please enlighten me ;-)

    Kind regards

    Holger

    Hello

You must first identify the audio clips. Remove the slides you want. Then, you could probably edit audio for a slide (or the previous slide to deleted ones) and edit audio. Note that when mounting audio, you have the possibility to insert audio extra during the editing process by using the button in the library. This is noting the clips on slides that have been deleted would be useful. You can find them in the library and bring.

  • Quickly and easily adjust levels dB precisely when the heights of low audio clip using?

Unless I use a height high enough audio clip, it is extremely tedious to achieve a specific level of dB.

Is it possible to almost instantly making it easy to slip accurately when the height of the clamp is gray low?

I know that I can in. the volume up and down by using ctrl - and ctrl = but when I do that I see not reassuring display of the confirmation of the dB level.

Is it possible to this thumb upward or down while seeing the dB display?

Ian, if you open the Audio pane of the Inspector and use these keyboard shortcuts to adjust, you see move the volume slider and DB digitally edit to the right of the cursor.

  • Audio clips keep repeating!

I imported 8 seconds of audio mp3 (music) that I spread over the first two slides in my presentation.  When I run the clip presentation runs once, but then repeats continuously.  I can't stop it and it makes me NUTS!

I have no audio loop selected, but it would seem Captivate think I.  I tried to do audio mono and changed the bitrates and chose... the transmission speed constant nothing seems to work.

Please anyone with any ideas send them my way before I get all my hair.

    Richard

Looks like you have applied inadvertently audio to your project instead of (or as well as) background it spread to several slides.

Wehn you add audio thoroughly, it will start playing from the beginning of the project bit matter regardless of the other audio is present on slides or objects... and Audio loop is enabled by default for background to auio.

Go to Audio > Edit > background.  If you can see the bottom as a menu option in the title of the Edit menu which means that you have audio in the background.  Get rid of that and your problem can be solved.

  • How audio clips in Cp5 name?

I'm their recording in Captivate, not Soundbooth.

I would like to be able to see the name of the library easily.

    Thanks for Seattle.

    Alice

    Hi Alice,.

Utilisation use the context menu in the library on the clip, choose Properties, and you can rename the audio clip. You can use the "find in a library" (CTRL-B) to locate the clip on a slide in the library
