• HP5520 - an error occurred during communication with the scanner

  A HP5520 for a few months and all were working well. But today does not scan wireless.

  I'm on a Mac OSX 10.9.2 imac and have reinstalled just the last bundle of driver on the HP website but no joy. The HP scanning utility will show the printer in the list, but throws up this error message:

  Don't worry, I've now solved with a stop down / reboot everything after you have reinstalled the drivers. I think that, maybe, last week cut off was to blame reboot on the mac has rebooted without the scanner is powered and the scan of the computer had not been activated. A restart of the mac corrected it.

  I suggest you follow these methods and check.

  Method 1: You can check if the problem appears in a clean boot state.

  Refer to this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

  If the problem is solved, check which service non-Microsoft is the source of the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.

  Note: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.

   

  Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software and check if the game works very well.

• Error message during registration in the same offering

  Our catalog is built with offers that have a certain number of classes under them. These classes contain the same content, but they are held weekly (start and end dates per week).
  
  Our problem is that the learner can get schooled in the same course/offering twice (but different classes) - two different weeks. Is it possible to configure the system to warn that the learner has already participated in the offer? (Workflow? or are there at - it an easier way)
  
  I know that an error message appears if the learner is enrolled in the same class twice, but not in the same offering.

  Standard features do not prevent enroll you a student more than once on different classes within the same offering. I think that any solutioon should be a customization.

  The type of solution you can consider will depend on your appetite for customization.

  If you want a basic solution, which will not prevent the second entry, but it will highlight, you could look at developing an alert or report. Both these soultions are "after the fact", but at least identify what happened and let you take measures to correct it.

  Another suggestion is to use the OA framework and expand a display on the registration screens object to identify people already registered in a class in the same offering.

  I'm sorry to say this weekend that I unplugged the unit, I uninstalled all the drivers and software HP and I am now using a new device from another manufacturer. I think it was simply a problem of compatibility between software and drivers and Windows 8.1, and given the age of the unit, I was expecting HP to solve.

  I recently bought a drone DJI Phantom 3 kind have been treatment of videos more than usual and not have not had any problems. I use Lightroom for cataloging movies and I use the first to change.

  Since yesterday, I was not able to import any movie that I get the following error

  Initially, I thought that it was due to a spectacular crash of drone (Physics isn't SHE!) who corrupted the file that was being logged, m ais I can now no longer import any movie to Lightroom.

  
  I tried the following

  1. a different memory with a new registration card

  2 removing and re - import an old movie

  3. to remove and re-import and old movie created by another camera

  4. to remove Lightroom and rolling back to the previous version of LR CC (CC 2015 [1014445])-had the advantage of getting rid of the annoying new import dialog screen. -

  5. upgrade to El Capitan to see if maybe OSX update may help.
