• Windows 8 can't find my SATA drive (2). It does not appear in disk management, but it appear when I open the tab of properties on any drive and click displays all disks. What should do?

  I bought a new computer (custom build) and Frys Electronics put it together for me.  Disk 0 is a 128 GB SSD, 1 disk is a SATA 2 TB drive, and disc 2 is a 1 TB SATA drive. Readers of 0 and 1 have been configured correctly when I installed Windows 8 but Drive 1 was not found\initialized. Player 2 does not appear in the disk management window, but when I click on properties on any drive, and then on the "hardware" tab, the drive appears.  If I can get windows to find it, I can go configure manually.  DiskPart cannot find disc 2 in the 'LIST' command and when I get in car 2 on other commands that require a number of disc, nothing happens.

  I ran an old Western Digital (the two SATA drives are WD) diagnosis and there are 1 OK to drive.  I tested it and it doesn't have a writing that test a few zeros.  I thought that it was a bad drive and I must return to the seller.  The next morning I tried the WD diagnosis again and this time he passed.  The app then allowed me to format it and it assign a drive letter.

  It seems to be OK now, but I'm not load all the files on it again.

  Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset yout system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.  If you are using XP, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353.

  I think you mean factory reset disks, these will reset your computer to when you took out of the box, usually vista sp1, there are other options that are less drastic, as the system restore or file vista, file system in windows Resource Checker, check the bootrec.exe tool, disk - repair the MBR, boot sector, the BCD store. see you soon

  You can change the program that opens files of the default Configuration of programs option in the control panel.

  1. open Control Panel.

  2. click on the default programs icon.

  3. in the default programs window, click the "set your default programs" link.

  4. in the default programs window, scroll down until you get to the application you want to open with, for example, Photos or other photos photoediting application.

  5. click on the application, that is, the Photo and in the next window, click on "select the default value for this program."

  6. in the list that appears check next to all the files you want to open.

  7. Once you have selected the files that you want the application to open, click on the "Save" button.

  Either way, the default options for painting are .rle, .emf and .wmf files.

  I'm on a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro computer and just upgraded to the most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  When I open a PDF file a window opens saying "the application could not start (0xc0000005).  Click OK to close this application"I click OK and the window opens up again about three or four times before it finally stopped.  My PDF file is then visible.  This is driving me crazy!  I tried to use "Repair Installation" in the Menu Help, but it has no effect.  I downloaded and installed the latest update - and this miserable message keeps popping up!  Before you do a system restore to revert to the previous version, can someone please tell me how to solve this problem?  Thank you very much.

  There might be a chance of the previous version left overs. Try uninstalling Acrobat using cleaning tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  Then try to reinstall it and then see if that solves the problem.

  Here are the steps:

  • You say that you have a new computer.  I guess that's literally true, and so it has the latest operating system.
  • Open iTunes if you have it on your computer.  If you don't have iTunes, download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
  • Use the iTunes menu to navigate to account > Sign In and sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Go to the iTunes under the "Music" setting store
  • Click on the link 'Buy' on the right side.
  • Go to the "not in my library" tab.
  • From there, you will be able to download all the music you have previously bought in iTunes.

• Lack of music into playlists after iCloud question yesterday

  Yesterday, there was a problem with iCloud in which connections with the Apple's music have been interrupted. After that the problem was apparently solved, I now double playlists and all the tracks in the playlists are not there, a few, in some cases only 1. This is the same experience on my macbook, iMac and iPhone. I disconnected and folder, synchronize my iCloud, on or off the option of Apple's music library. I have tried these things on all 3 devices and and still not see the tracks. All my songs are in my library and all my playlists are there... it's just all the tracks are not in playlists is the addition of double playlists (and even those who do not match between the two.

  I replaced my file of itl iTunes library with the file since yesterday morning and when I restart iTunes, I can see the tracks that should be in playlists, but they are grey and the iCloud library begins to update, all the tracks again disappear and playlists double return.

  Called Apple support and talk to a counselor and Advisor of sr and they couldn't help. If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful.

  Hello, I opened my iTunes this morning and I find that I only about 100 songs of my 80 GB of music. The songs that do not appear in my library seem to be in the clouds where there is a symbol of download of cloud beside them. If I click on "Get Info" for the song, no location is displayed.   Preferences didn't tell iTunes where to look for the media, it doesn't mean that iTunes where to store the data added from there on.

  Launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the iTunes folder (assuming that you are using the default settings).  iTunes does not normally lose to this place, unless you use a library on another drive, but since you have not mentioned that at the beginning I must assume that you are using the default configuration.

  I think iTunes might be showing your iCloud music purchases. Go to the menu bar, and unselect display-> show iCloud music purchases.
