Any resolution of problems of overheating/stuttering of the GPU from nVidia on T410s?

I've been searching the forums and you saw a lot of old messages with people having similar symptoms: switchable graphics (nVidia part) overheating and causing problems, stuttering falls down, freezes, etc. under a heavy load. I talked to tech support a long time ago and they seem to be aware of the issue.

Anyone know of a solution?

@kayson,

The engineering team is still studying this question.

Also, we are currently discussing this issue here.

Ive been upgraded my laptop and updated my ram and hard drives, and bought a Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 m update kit. I know not how to change video and easily installed maps (grounding prevent me electrostatic and protect the card). passed to the map intel before the upgrade and after the first device manager start that he read as standard VGA adapter and its status is that it wouldn't start. I updated my bios and updated the driver for the pilot to 980 m from nvidia and changed the graphics card to the new by using the fn + f7 command and rebooted my computer.

at the start he gave me a blank screen and the 8 beep error code. He looked up and I think it's a faulty card or bad memory on the card. contacted eurocom support and they think that there's a way to get it to work but I'm not so sure. It's the weekend, so they don't come back to me until Monday. someone at - it experience with this or know what I can do now? I am currently back on my card to 660 m.

Everything you did before but not FN + F7 at the end. However, I'd install drivers Nvidia from Dell this time. The last Dell has is either 347.52 (WHQL-quality; you can get this driver from the Alienware support page 13/15/17 R2 on the Dell support site) or 350,12 (beta for Dell). There are also 347.90, but it is quite difficult to find a complete driver for this driver.

When you uninstall the drivers of the GPU, use DDU. It's just a more sure way to uninstall the drivers.

You may not have lost any resolution... or you can understand the word "resolution" bad

Resolution isn't the file size, which are the numbers you are quoting. So the 1.3 MB changing to 542KB does not indicate a change in resolution. If you export the picture and let the box that says "Resize to Fit" disabled, so you don't waste no resolution at all, even if the file size has changed.

    Maniac of Vista,
If you think that the problem started when you installed the Extreme 3D Pro stick, have you tried to uninstall it to see if the problem goes away?  Who will tell you for sure if that's the problem, you can access the web site of the manufacturer and see if they have a fix for this problem, or simply reinstall the software for the joystick could fix.

You can also try to do a restore back before the problem occurred:
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Problems with the screen resolution, Cloud based software and Photoshop after the last round of updates Windows 8.1.

    Original title: screen resolution problems.

Since the last series of Windows 8.1 update the resolution of my monitors has been changed for the worse. I use an AOC 2367 M (resolution 1920 x 1080) as my first monitor and a 42 inch Sony Bravia (resolution 1920 x 1080) as my 2nd monitor. The changes are more noticeable on the Sony Bravia and any adjustment I make to the resolution only make worse it.

I also have problems with some software clouds as I load using citrix and when I try and navigate once opened software, I can't because the pointer selects a point about 50 mm on the side of the where he is hovering. In fact it is very difficult to open and close as anything and I resorted to the laptop to get concrete results.

Photoshop now also comes up with a message when I open it up to inform me that the monitor profile seems to be defective.

Any suggestions would be helpful as I thought initially an another upgrade must follow to correct the ills of windows 8, but appears not to have happened.

  • I deleted two e-mail accounts in my iMac (El Capitan). I have reinstalled the first without problem. When I tried the second, I got an error message that the account already exists. Any suggestions?

I deleted two e-mail accounts in mail on my iMac (El Capitan). I have reinstalled the first without problem. When I tried the second, I got an error message that the account already exists. Any suggestions?

First of all, make sure that you don't have two accounts with the same address. What happens if one of them is an iCloud account.

From the Mail menu bar, you select

    ▹ Connection Doctor window

In the window that opens, look for an SMTP (outgoing mail) account with a name that corresponds to the account that you are trying to add. Double-click it. Another window opens, displaying the list of all outgoing mail accounts. Click the sign button less to remove the corresponding one, and then click OK.

Try to add the email account again. If you still can not, log off or restart the computer, and then open the preferences window accounts Internet and check if the account is displayed.

  • Problem of overheating for Qosmio X 770 - 103 after installing Win 8

Recently updated my material with a series of samsung SSD 840 and installed windows 8 pro (64-bit) (due to business needs).

After you have installed windows 8 I ran Wizard upgrade toshiba, to get the drivers that I needed, the I updated my nvidia 320.49 drivers.

The problem is that slow my PC works at 75 to 80 ° c (ambient temperature of 22 ° c), and if I run all the software it gets my temperature up to 85 to 90 on the side CPU on the graphics side card I have mount 74ºC inactive and in a chart driven app it gets 99ºC or 100 ° c and blocking my laptop.

These temperatures are on average Setup 5 to 10 ° c higher than in my windows 7 (64 bit) and on my win7 the graphics card seems gas low performance in order to keep the time above 90 ° c 85.

If anyone can help me solve this problem, because I can't understand what is happening or what drivers need to be modified, as appropriate.

I compared the time using the same software in the two SO

    Current settings
    560 m from NVIDIA
    Intel core i7 2630QM (2.00 GHz)
    SSD - 840 Samsung series 500 GB
    Windows (pro (64-bit)

Measured using Core temp and the temp software GPU temperatures.

I n t have this Qosmio model but it will be interesting to know if you have installed the drivers offered on the download page of Toshiba only. I m not sure but I think that nvidia driver is not Toshiba.
    Am I right about that?

    > These temperatures are on average Setup 5 to 10 ° c higher than in my windows 7 (64 bit) and on my win7 seems to graphics card > gas low performance in order to keep the time above 90 ° c 85

Is that Toshiba drivers are changed and don t allow overheating, but at the same time reduce the performance of the GPU. If you use the Toshiba-no driver, I can imagine that GPU now works without limit, but it results in more heat and better performance of equipment.

  • Having problems with the resolution of the screen from the 1st upgrade.

Hello, I have a tower running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and upgraded to Service Pack 2 of Windows Vista Business, and he had problems while improving the pc. I lived the degrading resolution and become more pixel and color has begun to degrade. It didn't happen until I updated. and now the upgrade was a success and the resolution of the screen was horrible. Color is distorted, and some icons are not yet. The resolution is 640 x 480 pixels and the color was at its lowest level. I changed the higher color bit and the graphic resolution is improved, but the size of the screen was always the same. I tried to put my monitors resolution which is 1280 x 720 pixels, but when I put it on this resolution, the quality and graphics began to become distorted and never changed size. then, once I applied it, it go back to the lower resolution and color. And I updated my computer during upgrade. Is there anyway that I can fix this?
