  I just had a person claiming to be from Microsoft on the phone.  It asked me to enter a code and run it on my computer.  I refused and hung up as I suppose it's a scam!  Has anyone else had such a call?

  It seems that there was a rash of these types of calls that flow. DON'T spend any time on the phone with them. It's a big scam and they are phishing for your personal information. DO NOT do anything they say, or give them all vital data.

• Any way to split with elements of first screen?

  I created a short (about 4 min.) video with mixed animation and live action, some audio native, V.O. narrative throughout.

  At one point I need to a split screen, with activity happening on the right, another activity on the left.

  I can not blue or green screen it because both sets of animation/video will be a lot of Greens and blues. Cannot use chroma key, it doesn't seem to work for me. (A guy who posted a video of how to green screen on Youtube noted that his attempts of chroma key ended up looking like the contents of a toilet after a night of heavy drinking.) Pretty much like what my chroma-key is trying to).

  The split starts about 1/3 of the way in the video. It is something like the effect I want to achieve, except that one side will be an animation and the other a video clip of the live action.

  I considered recreating the animation (via Photoshop/ImageReady) so that the result is disproporionate... which is, I would increase 200% flat horizontally and vertically 100%. Then I could use convention PIP Premiere Elements' and skwunch the horizontal image to 50% and 100% vertical, restoring the correct proportions. That seems like a long way around the mountain, though.

  Someone at - he shared a direct way to the creation of a video screen? Or maybe a better solution than my technique of stretching/skwunch?

  It's basically just a picture from image, except that the two clips have been resized.

  You can resize each item by clicking on it in the monitor and making more little by dragging it on its corner handles. By dragging the clip itself, you can change its position in the video image.

  You can change also manually scale and Position under the properties of the query in the video effects applied.

• I have a Sony Alpha 5100 camera.  Camera Raw has said it is not supported, but I downloaded the latest version and still no luck.  I have Photoshop CS5.  Any way to deal with this?

  Your device requires at least Camera Raw 8.7. Photoshop CS5 cannot deal with this version. You will need to download and use the free DNG Converter to create DNG copies that you can work with Photoshop CS5.

  Some sites have annoying formatting options. I know how to block sections of specific pages using an available for firefox add-on. What I'm looking for, some is to create changes in how a page and save it. For example, suppose that a Web site has a configuration with three columns. The right column is a menu, the middle is content, and the right is advertising, help links, and others.

  I've already eliminated the annoying and other advertising items, that I will not display at all. Having done this, there is very little screen space unused I would use. I can change the page display in Inspector so that the "content" section is wider and fills the space, but it won't stay like this. Basically, I want to keep the dynamic content but apply my own opinion of the changes. Is there a way to do this?

  How do you disable the Touchpad?

  You can always navigate in Windows using the keyboard.

  Example: If you have disabled the Touchpad in Control Panel / mouse settings.

  Press Windows key + R to display the Run dialog box.

  Type Control.exe, and then press ENTER. This will open the control panel.

  Start by pressing the Tab key until the point of the mouse is highlighted, and then press ENTER.

  In the properties of the mouse:

  Press the Tab key until you highlight the element you want to change.

  If you need to select another tab at the top of the dialog box, press the Tab key until the first tab is selected, and then use the arrow keys to select another tab. When you have the appropriate tab selected, press ENTER.

  If this does not work for you, you may need to get a USB mouse. This should work as soon as plug you it into the system.
