I plug my ipod usb driver nothing comes up and the machine did not read, I went in devices and printers in Control Panel to start, and noticed he was not specified so I right click on it, went int o properties then it came with harware up above I click on it and it went itno properties if I click on that are entered in pilot and said the necessary driver update so I updated, but then the said device is working properly, but then I noticed poped upward in another unspecified as ipod and I click it and it says MTP. USB and I noticed that the device cannot start when I right click on it and it came with troble shoot wat should I do to download so it can come back to my itunes and when I stick the device in usb to computer to read...?

I connected a zebra printer to my Windows 7 machine via a USB port. The printer appears in the devices not specified.
I went there web site and got the latest drivers and install them. The printer appears in the printers section and works very well. However, the printer still appears also in devices not identified and there is no option to remove it. When the printer is turned off to it disappears to reappear when turned on again.
I saw another problem with several items of the same type, but no resolution has been published.

I have the same thing with a HP printer that has no Windows 7 drivers. I can easily print using compatible device drivers. I think that if you really need follow this look down in the \windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log file and locate the section where the Plug and Play install fails. Then find a zebra driver that contains the same data HardwareID and install this driver. If the Zebra does not a driver that contains the HardwareID the device sends to the operating system, this device is in the correct state. You can still use the printer, because the spooler service does not require a HardwareID of the device while PnP requires the HardwareID match.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W compatibility with Windows 7, appears as "Unspecified" device

I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W laser printer that works very well, I just updgraded to Windows7 from XP but my printer no longer works. It appears as PP1350W in the "Devices and printers" window as a device not specified. I tried to install drivers Vista for the Page Pro 1400W and now that the printer appears in "printers and faxes", however the PP1350W is still listed as a specified device and printing on the 1400W does nothing. Worse, it is not I can't even remove the 1400W no matter how many times I said to delete, it appears just automatically again. Is there a generic driver for the PagePro 1350W that will work in Windows7 so I can at least have the basic printing features?

What I see in the Center of compatibility , there are several versions of the PagePro printer compatible but the 1350 is not listed. The 1100 and 1400 are listed but not the 1350. I would check with Konica to see if they have updated drivers for your specific model or if the drivers for one of the other patterns may work with your printer.

Error "USB device not recognized" but nothing is plugged

Hi, this problem recently just started to happen, nowhere I can say. Whenever I turn on my computer or it wake up from hibernation, a message from the task bar appears saying "USB device not recognized". However, there is nothing plugged one of my USB ports. I have three USB ports available, and all are empty. I tested all three ports in something by plugging, and all three ports seem to work well. What can I do to get this message to stop appearing? I have recently (June 2014) bought a brand new Ipod Classic 7 G 160 GB Model A1238.

Whenever I connect via USB to a PC running XP SP3 and Itunes V10.0.7.2 it is always treated as if it were a new connection, i.e. "new hardware found". After trying to install it, it says so "cannot install this hardware" and "there was a problem installing this hardware: Apple iPod USB Device."
I have also a 2009 16 GB Ipod Nano 4 G model 1285 and this is recognized by the PC whenever it is connected through the USB port itself.
I connected the Ipod Classic 7 G to a laptop running Vista and Itunes V10.0.7.2 where the Ipod is recognized and installed.

Even if the PC States that there is a problem installing the Ipod, it still appears in Itunes and I can download music to it and disconnect by using safe mode disconnect.

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Classic
I watched "Device Manager" under "Drives", the Ipod Classic is listed as an "Apple Ipod USB Device", but has an exclanation score against it.

Right-click on the 'Apple Ipod USB Device' properties and the "Volumes" tab it shows the drive with the exact name and the size of the data, by clicking on the properties of "Driver" tab it says 'Unknown' driver provider, driver Date and Driver Version as being "not available". By clicking on the "Driver Details" properties, it shows a driver file-

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys, File Version 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

Under "Device Manager" USB controllers, there is an entry for "Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver" and a "USb Mass Storage Device"

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' lists two drivers:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\usbaapl.sys and
C:\WINDOWS\System32\usbaaplrc.sys

The "USB Mass Storage Device" list a driver:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\USBSTOR. SYS

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Nano

I repeated the steps above with the Ipod Nano, connected to the PC and the driver provider is presented as Microsoft with the driver as 07/01/01 Date and Version of the driver as 5.1.2535.0.
In the "Driver Details" properties, it shows TWO driver files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys AND meanings
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys.
At the same time with the Version of the file 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' and "USB Mass Storage Device" are the same as for the Ipod Classic.

I followed the procedure to remove Itunes and even the update to Itunes to V11.2.2 nothing works.

I am aware that the system is also that XP can now be updated.
