• Chromecast and Airplay on the Netgear wndr 4500v2 connection problems

  I hope someone is able to help me with two questions, I have based on Chromecast and Airplay.

  Chromecast problem:
  Material: OS Android Lollipop 5.1.1 on a Sony Xperia Z2, 10 Windows on a laptop Lenovo S440 and Chromecast 1.

  Chromecast worked fine for a year with the same material. For two months, the Chromecast became unstable. When I want to stream Netflix from my Android phone then Chromecast icon is not available or the ico is available but when I select the icon disappears. That's why I have to reset the router and then it does not work properly. It continues to work fine until the next day. Then the same problem occurs. I have to reset the router every day when I want to use the Chromescast. I installed the new firmware again on the router, but this has not solved the problem. The router settings are accurate as described in the pages of Chromecast and netgear support.

  Problem of airtime

  The problem is perhaps due to interference, especially if both you are on the same channel.

• Release and Airplay not working

  Parachuting and airplay stopped working after update elcapitan 10.11.2. He worked with 10.11.1. There is no airplay icon more when it is connected to same network and drop doesn't show my ipad and iphone anymore. AirPlay works always with the iphone and ipad with 9.2 update. 15 inch 2014 model macbook pro. Thanks for the help.

• TV OS10 and Airplay is sick

  Ok... I am a former COMPUTER technician with over 30 years in the industry... Microsoft SE... Novell CNE and many other acceditations.   Has started working with Apple products around 2010 and love them.  Here's my problem... until the last batch of IPhone and Apple TV updates my Airplay was solid as a rock. But these few updates caused Airplay intermittently leaving... See the Apple TV screen for a few seconds... and then start again.  My wifi router is a new AirPort Extreme. iPhones are 6 s more, and Apple TV is Gen4.

  I am posting this in the hope of a few new updates for Apple TV that will stabilize Airplay once more.

  Would not update, and network problems can come at any time.

• iDVD and airplay

  My USB drive super will not a dvd using the Air game.  The video is shown as a gray screen and the audio is read the dvd will play correctly and can be seen on my iMac.  Airtime will be sent to all other types of videos and music to my tv.    My apple TV is updated.  I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on my iMac I thank you for your help

• 4th gen apple tv wifi, itunes and airplay problem

  My 4th gen of newly updated apple tv cannot keep a stable wifi connection while other devices can and does not appear on itunes when it is connected to the mac via the usb - c cable. AirPlay video mirroring also often freezes.

  does anyone have a solution to these problems?

  I use Itunes on Windows 8.1 12.1.3.6 64bits, Airplay in Itunes worked week last for my Phillips Airplay speakers and it seems this week the Airplay icon has now disappeared. I did some research and tried all the help guides that suggest Apple as well as disabling IPv6 without result. I can use Airplay on my Iphone 4s, but Itunes will not recognize. I tried to install Itunes 10 and current does not work either. After you have reinstalled Itunes 12 the problem persists.

  Anyone have any suggestions because I'm tempted to just go back to Android and maybe a bluetooth speaker instead.

  FIXED!

  I just install Airfoil for Windows as a work around to this problem, and low and behold, after the installation, I opened itunes and it was again the Airplay icon.

• AppleTV and purchased TV shows

  I have an AppleTV 4th gen has recently discontinued showing all the tv shows that I have purchased through iTunes.  The strange thing is that all my purchased movies and music appear.  So far, I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  1 rebooted AppleTV

  2 AppleTV restored

  3 reset the default router

  When I navigate to the TV Shows main app, it shows not all art above the app, just generic text "iTunes TV Shows."  When I click on the application and then click on 'Bought', I get a spinning wheel of progress that doesn't go away until I got out of the app.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Welcome to the Apple community.

  If you don't want to use a remote control with your computer, the best thing to do is just turn off the IR. (System preferences > Security > general, click on the Advanced button in the lower right corner - if the button is dimmed, click the lock icon and enter your administrators password)

  If you want to continue using your remote computer, then you must match your remote computers with the computer AND the Apple TV remote with Apple TV.

  To match a remote control with a device hold down menu and FF buttons together for six seconds or until you see an icon of the chain on screen (better take the computer in another room, or turn it off, when you do)

• Unexpected airPlay with AppleTV list after the iOS10

  After 10 times my iPhone and iPad iOS update, I started to see some Apple TV which do not belong to me in my mailing list. For example, the 'Apple TV' and 'Living Room' in the picture.

  I checked my router and I'm sure that I only have my own devices inside my WiFi environment. In addition, I don't see these two unexpected in my Mac iTunes devices, as indicated below.

  

  I also did an experiment to unplug my Apple TV room and kitchen and then they disappear from the mailing list, while the other two unexpected are still there. I tried to contact them, and I was asked for passwords. So now I'm kind of confused why this happens. As I did not detect these two in either on my Mac mailing list or the list of the devices connected to my router, I think it might be some sort of bug introduced by iOS 10, given that I have never seen this before the update. I wonder if someone could please take a look at. thank you!

  Also, here's an update. I tested with another Mac that is updated for Sierra, and I also started seeing these AppleTV unexpected AirPlay list (as shown in the picture), while for my two other Mac on El Capitan, I don't see this problem.

  If I understand correctly, you try music to AirPlay device and it does not appear in the list of available items.
  I recommend you read this article, there are certain measures that may be able to help solve the problem.
  
  

  Don't see the AirPlay device you need? Here is what you should check:

  1. Make sure you plug in and switch on the device of airtime you want to broadcast on.
  2. If you are streaming to an Apple TV, make sure that the AirPlay is enabled in settings > AirPlay.
  3. If your Apple TV using Ethernet, * check that the cable is plugged into the router that you use for the free Wi - Fi connection.
  4. On your iOS device, go to settings > Wi - Fi and check that you are on the same WiFi network as your Apple TV or any other AirPlay device.
  5. Check the same thing on your Apple TV (or other AirPlay device):
     • For Apple TV (4th generation), go to settings > network. Make sure you are on the same WiFi network as your iOS device.
     • Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), go to settings > general > network. Make sure you are on the same WiFi network as your iOS device.
  6. If you still need help, contact the Apple Support.

• AirPlay and AirPort Express

  Bottom line on the front: My AirPort Express (N) (former model with a single ethernet port) is not listed as an AirPlay device to my iMac (2011) and MacBook Pro (2011).

  QUESTION:

  The EPA is connected to a stereo system in the same room, but away from my iMac.  I'm trying to use the EPAS to play my iTunes from my iMac to the stereo library.  When I click on the AirPlay icon in the menu, I see the ATV listed, but not the MONKEY.  If I use AirPlay on my drives to iOS, I noticed that everything (EPA and ATV).

  BACKGROUND:

  The iMac (as well as all my other Macs) are running El Capitan.  I have FiOS and my iMac is wired (ethernet) to my router from verizon, as is the Time Capsule, which transmits the WiFi to all my devices (all of my devices are newer running iOS 9.3.1) and my MacBook Pro.  I have also two AppleTV connected to the network.  My iMac and MacBook Pro (and iOS devices) see the AppleTV and can AirPlay for them, but only the iOS devices see the AirPort Express Terminal.

  RESOLUTION OF THE PROBLEMS SO FAR:

  My utility AP sees the MONKEY (and the TC) and I can handle it without problems (name change, settings, etc.).  My iPhone has no problem to see and using the EPA.  I troubleshoot-made the MONKEY by connecting to my network via ethernet (failed difficulty). reset of the MONKEY (failure of difficulty), turned on my iMac (no resolution) wifi, restarted the network and wifi (impossible difficulty), restarted my iMac and Mbps (failure of difficulty).

  What can I do else?  Thanks in advance.

  I understand in your current network setup you have the cable to the Capsule Time (TC) to the router provided by Verizon. I assume you have the AirPort Express configured to use a wireless connection to the wireless network provided by the TC.

  • What is the brand and model of the router provided by Verizon?
  • Is - this wireless router and it provides a network of Wi - Fi with the TC?
  • The TC and the Verizon router, both configured for a network of itinerant type?
  • The Express is configured to join or extend a wireless network?
  • Are the TC & Express configured as bridges?

• Connection of a fall AirPlay with AppleTV

  I have a new AppleTV (2016) and I noticed a few problems since upgrading my OS on my (9.3.1) phone and TV (9.2).

  (1) if I send music from my iPhone 5 s to my AppleTV via Airplay it will play the music and then remove the connection. Sometimes the mid-song, sometimes it will play the song but does not start the following until I connect to my phone. This used to not be not a problem, and Yes, I restarted devices and my Asus 802.11ac router. If I select music to play from the AppleTV (no airplay) it works very well but is less convenient.
