  Dear all,

  I do not know that LabView yet and would really appreciate some help.

  I have attached to this message three documents. the first is the block diagram of how I can use a few tools of labview with the thermal camera. It all works very well for this one. The other is a tool developed from Vision Assistant, but created as a LabView VI, so even in the block diagram. And in the third, is the block diagram of the two (the first that is image and little data from the camera and the second the tool developed by assisting Vision) together. Bacsically my question is, could you help me or show me how to link the two, so that I can use the tool developed in Vision Assistant with my image of the thermal camera (file 1). Link file 1 and 2 together basically.

• Difficulty with the Assistant of Vision 2009

  Hello.  When I try to execute the Vision Assistant it says my screen resolution is wrong and after I click OK it just closes.  My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, so it should be good?  I use the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  I asked the support of NEITHER and they just sent out the following link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/41EB3AA9B4F9BE2D8625719D0051A2B0?OpenDocument.  Because my computer is new and the screen resolution is above the min I don't understand the problem?  I also activated automatically hide it the bar of tasks and changed my screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and it still gives me the error?  I don't understand why I can't launch a program when my screen resolution exceeds the resolution of min?  Is this program that has paralyzed it does not work with a high reslution?  Is there a work around I can use that will work.  As I said before, I use the 64-bit version of Labview 2009 Windows 7 if that helps.  Thank you.

  The windows Magnifier tool is known to cause problems with the Vision Assistant.  Could you please make sure that it is turned off?  Instructions are linked here

  The computer system that I use for my research has LabVIEW 7.1, 8.0 and 8.2 installed. For my work, I need the Sound and Vibration Toolkit, which is installed on 8.0. I used to be able to use (see, access to) the DAQ Assistant for DAQmx 8.0, but now this feature seemed to disappear. 8.2, I can open a vi where I worked on in 8.0 and so-called load sub SVT vi points and also see and access the DAQ Assistant.

  I'm stumped on what to do to fix this. I thought to reinstall 8.0, but there are other LabVIEW users who use the same computer, and I don't know how my relocation will affect them. I also read on reinstall hardware drivers DAQ. I don't want to do something that can not solve the problem.

  I have discussed the upgrade to 8.6 with my Professor, but he believes that everything should be good for me to work with.

  I can't find specific documents, I can connect, but I am sure that it will work.  Most of the newer versions will work with 8.2 as being free, in general no, but you could contact a local sales representative and see if you can get something school developed.

  I wonder if it is somehow possible to see all of the stirrup, edge etc-results report exported (from Vision Assistant 8.6). I want to see all these lines and shapes produced by tools detecton (see the screenshot).

  This is exactly what you are looking for, but a few screws in 8.6 VDM have options to overlay information returns the VI. These screws are IMAQ find Edge, IMAQ find CoordSys (Rect) 2 and IMAQ find CoordSys (2 rectangles) 2.

  Is it possible to use the C Code is exported from Vision Assistant within an 8-bit, 16-bit, or Pic de Microchip 32-bit microcontrollers?

  I use Vision Acquisition blok, then assistant block vision.

  These blocks are in while loop.

  Once the vision outputs help block class for the next iteration:

  ERROR: There are too many sessions open classification. You must close a session before you can open another.

  I know there are block to eliminate the classifier, but do not know where to connect!

  The only option you have without upgrading is to right click on the Express VI and select 'open the front panel. The Express VI then passes to a standard Sub - VI that you can edit and modify the code to close the session if needed.

  The disadvantage of this approach is that by doing this, we have broken the link between the Express VI and the Vision Assistant, which means that you can not change the algorithm developed in the Vision Assistant more you.

  3. If I can't afford an IVision... I still have final project with the webcam?

  To use a webcam with LabVIEW, you r IMAQ for cameras USB drive, which has the following requirements:

  -Windows Microsoft Windows Vista/Vista x 64/XP/2000 (English, Italian, Japanese, French, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Spanish/Portuguese, Russian or simple Chinese).
  -LabVIEW 7.0 or later.
  -Vision Development Module 7.1 or later version
  -NI Vision Acquisition software 7.1 or later version for LabVIEW USB support.
  -Vision Assistant 7.1 or later version, for the support of the plugin modules USB Vision Assistant.
  -Vision Assistant 8.0 or later for USB Express VI support.

  There are examples of the community of DeveloperZone NOR, but you need the requirements above to run the examples.  Here is a link to one of the examples:

  I built an application using the Application Builder of LV2014 (32 bit).

  On a Win7 X 64 PC at work, it installs and runs ok.

  On Win7 X 64 PC at the customer, it installs ok, but then after Windows restarts on demand 'device manager' no longer works and there are some unchangeable registry entries associated with nipalu. The client runs Symantec security software. A client COMPUTER technician is suggesting that LabVIEW is interacting with device drivers and this is the origin of the problem, but we do not know how to go further. It is not really acceptable to deploy computers where the Windows Device Manager no longer works. Surprisingly, the application itself works always - it's just Windows which messed up.

  Thanks for the suggestions. The company IT guy has not been able to talk to a person in NI UK support (no one was available), but he managed to keep it down to a problem with Dell Data Protection encryption Enterprise Edition. Delete first, then install the LabVIEW application, then reinsert DDPE gave a system where everything worked.

  Module Vision Development supports the formats AVI, that you can use to record a sequence of images in a movie file.

  You can use the AVI API and the API of Acquisiion Vision for your acquisition to save it on the installation disc. You can directly encode the part in the CVI.

  If you prefer not to do programming and use Vision Builder AI for all tasks, it is also possible.

  You can create an inspection she buys your images and step of saving Image will save each image in an AVI file (step of saving Image supports AVI formats).

• How to segment joints cracks between them using the wizard of vision?

  I built an application that processes the images taken from a camera high resolution with IR lighting. I noticed some cracks in the pavement could unite or are having joints that are cut into the concrete or ashalt. I need to distinguish between the cracks and joints so that I can classify and record their location on the image for a worksheet. I saw where someone has used the segmentation of the circular basin of separation is opposed, but it works for cracks (lines) so? If not is there ideas for 'disconnect the cracks in the joints. I have attached my script assistant of vision and an image of the sample. Thanks in advance for your advice.

  I tried the features of the morphology and the problem is it joining a crack for joints, if it was them that intersect and then counts as a single object/shape. I ended up finding a solution really good. I used the detection of edge advanced prior to dilation image, then use those points to detected lines to extract the joints and obtain the necessary information (width, length, position), then use the positions draw black pixels on the joints on the binary. This allowed me to get the information that I needed for the joints and also remove them from the binary image so that I can treat the cracks by flying over in he picture. Now, I just need to find a way to get some of the other object that the threshold is removed so that I find myself with just the cracks. Thanks for the help. Its always good to get some ideas from someone looking to another direction.
