I tried a number of times to upgrade to windows 10. I get c1900101 - 4000D as a mistake. Once, my entire hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 7. I am also having a problem installing Adobe Flash player. It is said that API-MS-Win-Core-Registery-l1-1-0.dll is missing but I don't know what it is. Any suggestions?
"Configuration settings" is the final phase and fault codes look like c1900101 x400xx. The most common failure here is 40017, which means we could not start. Since this is the first time start us Windows 10 with all the drivers in place, once again, drivers are usually the cause of the accident. These issues tend to be less transient than the 30018 s, then a second test is less likely to solve the problem. Yet, it never hurts to try.
Try to upgrade manually:
Task of pre-required
When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

- How to free up disk space in Windows

- Will remain the documents and applications, or install app must
then
- How to download official Windows 10 ISO files
- How to: upgrade previous versions of Windows using the file ISO for Windows 10
then
- Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
- Reboot several times, and then try again.
- Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
- If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
- Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
- If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
- If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
- If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
- If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
- If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
If the problem persists, try the upgrade manually, but choose the option to keep personal files only, you will have to reinstall applications.

upgrade of Windows vista 64 problem home premium to windows 7 64
I have Vista 64 on a HP desktop computer. I bought Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade for Windows Vista. I ran the software compatibility, and everything is in order for the update/install. My current office meets all requirements to install and run Windows 7 Home premium. I have a lot of storage space on my drive. My problem occurs all at Midway through the installation where he collected, files, settings, etc. Installation suddenly stops and gives me a message of installation was interrupted. "Not able to install driver. He leaves me no choice to leave the facility. There is no way to know which driver he could not install, why he could not install, where to go for a solution, or something useful. Simply, he stops and requires to click the installation menu. I tried three installs with the same message and the result. I have searched all over the web to see if this question has been discussed without a bit of luck. Can someone walk me through this problem with a solution? I really want to keep my programs, settings, etc. by doing an upgrade and not a custom install which erases everything. Appreciate any help out there!
Do NOT upgrade. Install rather cleanly. This means that when you get to the choice: upgrade or custom, select custom.
Experts of Windows for a long time would never install an upgrade.
Backup your data first. Normally, I do a full backup of the data AND use Windows Easy Transfer for Vista. Available on the Microsoft web site. Windows Easy Transfer works very well.
You cannot save programs. They must be put back.
Clean the end Install
After Windows 7 drivers system and all updates are installed and stable applications such as Microsoft Office are installed and updated, and before data or dynamic applications are installed such as antivirus software, create a system image. It will take 3 or 6 DVD +Rs (non - Rs) and about an hour. When you are finished, you will have a very nice bit of insurance. You must again and again re - build a damaged system or replacing a hard drive, you will have a double précis of your system as it was at this time. You can restore this image on a hard drive in about 20 minutes. Creating a System Image is in your menu in respect of Maintenance, backup and restore.
Another great feature on the use of the image, it's that you don't have an installation disc or product key to re - install the next time.
