Audio driver help - mute light does not

Hi, I have "improved" Windows 8 for Windows 7 & settled most of the problems driver through message history in the HP support forum.

My problem is that the mute button for audio works but the light behind the button does nothing. The audio itself works very well.

When I look at system devices, everything looks ok - no question or an exclamation mark etc.

These are audio devices:

AMD Hi Definition Audio device

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100 & REV_1003
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100

Hi Definition Audio device

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_111D & DEV_76D9 & SUBSYS_103C1849 & REV_1001
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_111D & DEV_76D9 & SUBSYS_103C1849

The laptop is a g6 dv2304au running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Pavilion.

Can someone tell me please to a suitable driver for this problem.

Thank you.

Hello:

Have you installed the audio driver Realtek HDMI AMD?

Accept the agreement, download and install the ATI HDMI Audio Device driver listed on the Web page.

When the reinstallation of Chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • CD drive does not open and the light does not work

original title: single CD player problem

The problem with my CD player seems to be unique I can't find an answer, or someone else with the same problem online.

My computer is custom built, the CD player lasted me 1.5 years no problem, not until one day I realize, it does not open and the light does not work on it, I ordered a new drive and installed that one, still does not work. so, I replaced the SATA cable which connects to the motherboard, still does not.

When I go to my computer the drive appears but when I right click > eject it says: "year error occurred while ejecting CD drive D".  It also appears in devices such as SCSI CdRom Device Manager but I am not sure if it's actually my CD player.

I also tried troubleshooting http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems and no solution.

WTFFF ideas? I really hope that its not the motherboard

There are two cables you need to connect to the drive, one for data and one for power.  You must connect both training at work.  If you only have the data cable is plugged and not cable power which would be a possible cause of the problem that you see.

Sorry, im just of knowledge about computer hardware.  you say that I should try a different agreement or another port to plug in?

I tried to connect on a couple different SATA ports on the motherboard.

  • W540 - mute Microphone does not work

I have a new W540 and microphone mute button does not work correctly. When I press fn + f4. the red LED lights up, the microphone off on appears on the display and volume for the "Microphone" and "External microphone" controls are muted in Windows. However, always capture the audio from audio microphones and it can be recorded on applications like Skype and Audacity.

Muting manually microhphones through the sound dialog in Windows box has the same effect. The OSD and LED light, but the microphone does not record. From now on, I have found no way to disable the microphone outside the inhibition of sound input in each individual application.

I just tested this, and I get the same result on my W540. Mute microphone lights and Windows says it's dumb, but he is not actually cut.

Windows XP does not start, there is a message: STOP: 0 x 00000024. and run CKHDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption. But I don ' t know how to make it work? Please help, thanks.

If this is the message you get, then you have multiple problems...

1, xp should be on the C: drive, not F:

Default C: is for the OS only. With xp on drive F: and you use only a hd

then the hd must be formatted and all partitions deletion (unless there is a relocation

the operating system is present). Install the xp installation cd, boot the pc on a cd (some PC need BIOS

be defined for this, (boot priority), once at the cd menu, press r for recovery console, select 1

for the C: drive, press enter for the password, type: Diskpart in diskpart, see all partitions, delete all,.

Create one, press the key type, ESC: EXIT leave pc reboot, install xp from the cd, format it when asked.
