Audiobook speed too fast, even in SLOW

I have given my opinion and bought a rocket of audio books, and I was very happy.  I downloaded a number of titles through my public library, which uses Recorded Books and listened very well.  I just finished a book in the Sookie Stackhouse series and deleted this morning.  Then I downloaded the second book of the series and copied to my rocket.  HOWEVER, it looks like Alvin and the Chipmunks!  He normally plays on my computer, I copied it on a cheapie MP3 player and it sounds great.  I deleted my Sansa and copied again, and it STILL sounds like chipmunks speaking.  I found the Audiobook Options under settings and changed the speed to "Slow", and it's ALMOST understandable, but always impossible to listen to.  I listen to the other files already on my rocket, and they play very well. It's just this new audio book who is Chipmunk-y, and on my Sansa.  What has arrived, and more important still, how do I do?

No, I only got it a month or two.  He said: it's the V0101.11A version.    I hesitate to make any firmware updates becuse I tried initially with my SansaView and my problems of audiobook WORSE, not better.  That's why I finally gave up and bought this rocket, which has worked beautifully (including bookmarks) until I had this book of chipmunk yesterday.  I just finished listening to book 1 of the fine in the series, so I guess that I would have no problem with this second book by the same author and the same audiobook company.

The fact that the file plays fine on WindowsMediaPlayer and also $20 MP3 player a friend (but not bookmarking... (ARGH!) tells me that the problem is with my rocket, not the file.

The audio book is an MP3 file.  Is there something I can do in the file itself?  Or do you still recommend that I do a firmware update?

It's an OLD firmware you have. You do an update to this one. Look at this post to find out how.

  • Shutter speed too slow AV mode for sunrise timelapse (low light)

    Hi all!

First, I'm a bit embarressed to ask this question because I am sure that its entry level but stuff I posted in several other forums to establish what is the problem im trying and I now reduced to a simple question... I think so..

I'm trying to shoot a timelapse of the sunrise. At dawn when the unit is in AV mode, due to the low light it seems be frezzing up when I go to take a picture. I realize now its not freeze until his tusing simply a shutter speed to compensate for the lack of light.

The problem is, I see a lot of tutorials of timelapse of Sunrise, and they all recommend using AV mode because of the changing light conditions.  (I had to use manual mode with a small opening in the end and to halfway through once the Sun rose my photos were all horribly over exposed)

How can I combat the problem of low light in order to use my camera in AV mode for photos with 4 second intervals?

At the moment I can't use it at dawn because the shutter speed slows down so that it does not make a timelapse.

Any comments would be massivly appriecated.

    Thank you!

    OK, let's go.

AV and Tv are really semi-manuel exposure modes.  You are setting the aperture or the shutter and waiting for the camera to select the oppisite.  If you have selected an Av which requires a shutter speed too long to take the correct exposure, you will get very long shutter.

You can up the ISO, or select a larger BC.

  • Multimedia center of Toshiba - sound to play too fast

I recently bought a Toshiba Multimedia Center and installed on a server Dell T105 running Windows XP. The Dell server has not built into the sound card. I use the Dell machine as a server but run it as a normal computer for now.

Playback of any type of sound or video (iTunes, Media Player, YouTube,...) starts too fast (about twice the speed). After 1-2 minutes playback slows and then runs at a normal speed.

I uninstalled the software and Toshiba all files read correctly even if, of course, without the sound! After you have reinstalled the software, the problem appears again.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Mate well done!

    Hello tang258,

Take a look at this answer/tips from Michael Murphy, who could help you just below:

Looks like you're out of luck with Microsoft.

There are 3 rd Party slideshow screensaver downloads claiming to do this and that, but most of them are mounted virus and/or unnecessary

Don't know. The settings for the screen saver are located under this key:

    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Photo.
    Gallery\slide show\Screensaver.

but the values of 'Speed' seem to be 0, 1 or 2 (slow, medium, fast),
they are not in a few seconds.

  • When you write a sentence the cursor jumps at the beginning if I type too fast

If I type too fast or even at a moderate speed my cursor jumps at the beginning or in another part of the sentence.  I type very slowly in order to complete a sentence.

I'll guess that you are using a laptop with a touchpad? If Yes, go to control panel > mouse and then look for a tab that relates to your touch pad and then see if you can adjust the sensitivity. Chances are that you are hit while you type.

    I hope this helps.

  • Scrolling the mouse resets too fast at every reboot

I have a Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse (although I think that the mouse model is not relevant).  The scroll wheel is moving too fast. The smallest button jumps a whole page or more.  My normal solution is to go to control panel-> mouse-> wheel control and adjust vertical speed control to something very slow, like 8 (of 40).  This works until I restart the laptop (Win 7 Enterprise).  Since it is a laptop, it means that I am at least once a day.

I tried to change some registry settings, but nothing seems to work.  Is there an official solution from Microsoft for this?

  • A bug? Reading Photoshop Action is too fast, after upgrade CS5 - CS6! My action does not work

    On a PC

I upgraded to CS5 in CS6 (cloud) over the long weekend and I'm now facing a massive headache. Process actions that I use extensively for my work are all foxed by the simple problem reading action going too fast for the script on two documents to stand. I've tried everything I can think of, but the only thing that allows the action to progress substantially (as in previous versions of the software) is the step by step playback mode. It's too slow to use on an ongoing basis.

The problem is caused by the following sequence

Save as a document (on the desktop)

Opened as a document - open that Camera Raw - after settings open in Photoshop

    Select all

    Copy

    Closed - registration No.

    (PS automatically selects previous document)

+++ Paste +++ command ERROR paste is not currently available

This is where Photoshop choose the previous/underlying document before applying the Paste command. Since the upgrade its been trying to paste the Clipboard in the fraction of a second after the closure and by selecting the previous document and have reported no documents available to all. Slow down or if stop playback with step by step or stop and continue works around the problem but the workflow causes to slow down considerably.

Is it possible to script a break during this time crucial one? Or is there a setting preferably I forgot it's breakage behaviour?

This thread solved my problem http://forums.adobe.com/message/4423788#4423788

This is a bug. The work around is to record a change in the speed of reading before and after the paste.

Adobe would you want to fix this problem please?

While you are, you would also look at "less than 50% of the pixels are selected," it would be really great if we could cancel this warning when batch processing of images and using measures.

  • Flash too fast

Hello everyone, new guy here, im also failry new to Flash. IM using Flash MX and Dreamweaver CS5. Ive been doing some flash with a truck and move through the last few days and I add to my site and download it and it works well. Then yesterday I brought some changes to the file added to dreamweaver and uploaded and executives first of all 20 or if them then run them very quickly, and then the thing dies down. It is viewed in victory of the internet explore 9 7. So I tried in firefox, and it works normal, so I tried in internet explorer 9 on vista and it works fine. I even had someone else try it on their win 7 IE9 and it does the same thing. This all of a sudden happened yesterday afternoon.

Now, if I post the preview of flash it plays very well, or if I just open the file in the folder its in it plays very well.

Here is the link to my test page,

    http://www.reedoil.com/flashtest.php

See the banner where the truck scrolls on the screen, the truck moves very fast, then flash slows down to normal speed.

My FPS is 12, and the interpolation of the truck going from left to right should cover about 1.8 seconds by the timeline in flash. The whole flash shall be about 14.3 seconds. Its like it gets revved up and flies through e first 2-3 seconds.

The second flash file on the page of the square block which rotates the images is set to flip every 5.8 seconds and normally does.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Great! Thank you very much. I will certainly check AS3. I just got an old Macromedia Studio MX laying around and I thought give it a whirl and try some flash. If it becomes a program regular im starting to help I'll certainly think about an upgrade!

  • Title scrolls too fast

I'm on first Elements 9 and adds a title scroll in the menu title. When I play back the frame, the title scrolls too fast to read the credits. I lengthed the timeline in the timeline using the tool of time Scretch, but this just adds virgins pictures before and after the scrolling credits. Credits not only stretching and slow, scrolling at the same speed in a sandwich between the beginning and end of the empty frames. Any thoughts?

    Welcome to the Forum.

Steve you given the method of increasing the duration of the title - just a click + drag on the tail, to get the necessary length. This will also slow down the animation title predefined Roll.

If it still does not give you what you want, about the speed of the roll of the title, I suggest to remove this preset (it is easy to apply, but limited in the control) and instead of using the fixed effect > Motion > Position and Keyframing, which sets the effect manually create the roll. Steve nicely covers Keyframing in his tutorials Keyframing base to Muvipix.com. I highly recommend to go through this tutorial several part, the concept of keyframes can be intimidating to everything first, but all time spent to get in tune with them, will pay dividends over time. Keyframes can be applied to most of the effects, all two fixed or added.

With the movement > Keyframs Position, we can control the speed of the roll, can pause, if you wish, and can then animate to roll offscreeen. Several effects can be touch-ups on the same title too.

Although easy to apply, I don't remember the last time I used one of the animation Presets, because key frames offer an infinite control.

Good luck and let us know if you have any questions about keyframes, after reading the tutorials of Steve.

  • Satellite P300-22R - missing letters when you type too fast

    Hello!

I found a lot of articles about my problem in the internet, but I have not found a solution

My keyboard on my P300-22R ist no longer works. If I write a little too fast, there are a few missing letters or they come twice.

I already read the http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB1103370000R02.htm of Toshiba, that I should install a BIOS update to fix the problem. The update of the Bios was a success, the inexplicable laptop properly. But it doesn't seem to work so far. Still a few letters are missing.

Do you have any other ideas? It's really boring, write a text like this: Pei

    Do you need information more?

    Thanks for your help!

    >... ist no longer works
How to understand this? And in the past, everything was OK?
What operating system do you use?
When you type a little slower is there a difference?

To be honest this problem on P300 is not known to me because I've installed on my Win7 32 bit a year ago and so far all brothers works perfectly.
