I installed MS Office Standard 2007 and Visio, the disk of 2 months following its use grew much greated than the volume of data that I have placed on the system.   Right now, you have identified the exact problem, hell, I didn't even know this has the value automativcally of backup, the first 25Gigs swallowed the backup, then the next 4 subsequent in swallowed another 5 concerts a moment. Unfortunately, I had several images vmware which did not help matters.

  Every time at startup, I get a message that says: (windows file protection) Please wait while Windows checks that protected files are intact and in the original versions out there, then after a few minutes an other popes of dialog box appears that says, the files that are required for windows to run correctly must be copyed in the DLL cache. Insert the xp cd now. I did & it does not copy all the files from the cd. I managed to get to complete its process but the next time, the same message.   about 100 puts / deletes per second. One thing I'm getting is setting the fill factor

  I found that the system on linux and windows (x 86) page size is 4 K.
  However, the BDB chooses a page size default of 4K on linux and 8K on windows.
  I found this by collecting data using Db::stat_print() see Windows test code below.
  I have the same code that runs on both platforms.
  
  I was expecting that BDB would choose 4K on both platforms to match to the
  System page size. The docs and "The Berkeley DB Book" say or imply
  that this is the case.

  We use a default 8K on Windows page size because it is not easy to recover from a specific block size.

  The comment in the code to set the block size is:

          /*

           * (NTFS volumes often report 512B clusters, which are too small to
           * be a useful default).
           */
  

  If you know a way to reliably determine the block size of system files in Windows - we can integrate it into the code.

  We choose a default value of 8K on all platforms where we do not find a specific block size. This is because it is usually better - for performance reasons - to have a writing of data in chunks larger than the block size.

  If you read the reference guide on page size setting, you can probably do better than our "guess". You just configure the page size you want through the DB-> set_pagesize API.

  I see that you deleted by mistake your Mac partition during the installation of Windows. The partition itself deleted or was it the Mac OS that has been erased, leaving an empty partition?

  If the latter, you can reinstall OS X from OS X Recovery. See this article for how that should be done: On OS X Recovery
  Otherwise, you can use Internet recovery (Command-Option-R, as opposed to the command-R) to repartition the entire hard drive and install the version of Mac OS X provided on your Mac. Who is finished, you can upgrade to El Capitan via the App Store > bought.

• Bring back the old options windows in Firefox

  Upgrading Lee 42.0 was removed for the difficulty I have applied (setting the "browser.preferences.inContent" preference) to continue to allow the Options appear in a window pop up, rather than in the flat browser window. It's really annoying and difficult to use, the context menu was much easier to use and have floating "above" the browser window.

  The "browser.preferences.inContent" preference setting is no longer seems to work. Please tell me if there is a way to solve this problem, because I am in and out of the options a fair bit and it really is a pain to use now.

  Hi marcoporcellini, firefox doesn't bring back the old interface options - browser.preferences.inContent preference was just in place temporarily for a period of transition. now that there are new features and settings, go to preferences and was former windowed interface is more maintained, its users would have missed out on them, so the support fell completely in firefox 42.

  If you still miss the old style - the Restorer Classic theme https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ addon contains some improvements to make the more familiar the style options...

• Suddenly cannot open new tab, immediately after an update of MSWindows7, or after the upgrade to Windows 10 - tired, all kinds of bugs, no luck.

  Never had this problem until what MS downloaded and installed updates (for Windows7). So I said I'm going to widows 10 because I thought anyway, so I did this - still cannot open a new tab, or by clicking on the tab '+' or 'ctrl + T.
  I spent about an hour going by most of the measures that have been provided by the support of Mozilla tech note and it did not help. I'm not going to create a new FF profile.
  I restart my PC, nothing helped. I chose "never" (I forgot the exact wording) on all the Plug Ins and then rebooted and this did not help. I have not loaded Extensions.
  I installed FF for Windows 10 just after the installation of Windows 10.
  I am a user of whether average PC.

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.
