PROTECTED M800 auto boot up after connected with lan cable
Hi all
I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Portege M800. I decided to connect a lan cable directly on the cell phone instead of using the wireless feature. However, when I shut down the laptop, it will automatically start upward. But after I unplug the lan cable and stop working properly. Can I know the config to make the laptop does not auto boot up after I closed the laptop with the lan cable connected to it.
Hello
I think that the boots mobile upwards because the wake on LAN in the BIOS option is enabled
Please disable this option (in BIOS), save the changes and restart the deviceThen test this new!

Hi everyone, I noticed some behaviors and I was hoping someone could confirm that this is normal. I suspect it is perhaps by design.
Situation: I have an ESXi host and I have an iSCSI target. If the ESXi host starts before the iSCSI target is ready, the ESXi host is unable to connect to the iSCSI target and the data store is not available. The iSCSI data store seems to be unavailable indefinitely.
Issues related to the:
1 is this normal that someone must manually enter ESXi and re - initialize the connection to the iSCSI target in this scenario?
2. is there a best practice to automate this process so that if the ESXi server goes up, it will automatically continue trying to scan analyze again until the iSCSI rises?
In this case, we actually virtual storage running in a VM on the host, then the ESXi host arrives before the iSCSI (running in a VM).
Thank you!
Then this is normal behavior, given that the virtual appliance will only begin after boots ESXi finished.

How do I boot ESXi from a Flash drive
Hello, I have a LENOVO G570 and want to boot ESXi from a flash drive.
Question-if I boot from a flash drive, ESXi install on my hard drive? I don't want that it installed on my drive hard because I have Windows 7 installed on LENOVO G570.
Without taking into account the fact that your hardware is not supported to run ESXi in native mode, you might be able to install ESXi on a USB key. However, the VMFS data store (where is stored the VM) must be on the hard drive (no USB device is taken in charge).
If you want to try ESXi, you can be better egg to run as a virtual machine using VMware Workstation. That's how many of us do this to test and practice.

How big boot esxi drive should be?
I can't be install on a HP Server with a SD Reader - it seems like the SD drive is perhaps of 4 GB or more. Is there an optimal size for a boot drive ESXi?
I heard that the boot drive must be large enough for some sort of file temp - temp vm, or esxi temp, or temp vmotion or something like that.
What is recommended for that?
You can configure the scratch location in different ways. See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1033696 for more details.

I use NI PXI DMM 4065/4071/4072 with MXI controller to measure the current continuous on my device.
I am very sure that PXI DMM are not initialized because the device could not be activated at PC startup
unless I opened the DMM front panel and cofigure software current continuous.
Is it possible to auto initialize PXI DMM when I start computer, as do the autonomous way instruments?
Thanks in advance.
Adam
Hi Adam,.
I think you could do this by building
a VI to set up your DMM and then placing the VI (selected to run
When opened or configured as an executable) in the startup directory
(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup). Hope

Hi all
I installed a host vmware esxi 3.5 starts using a USB key.
My problem is that the key has been broken.
I have reinstall a new key with the same version of esxi 3.5 and assigned the same IP address to the host.
Should what steps I follow to host my comments towards the top and run again?
Thanks a lot for your help.
It's not good
Are you sure that your storage space is not the original problem?
If you start from USB, and the key fails, ESXi will continue to function until you restart the box. ESXi RAM tracks
If your storage space is 100%, you can try the following
Advanced settings under configuration if I remember correct:
EnableResignature change to 0
Replace disallowSnapshotLun with 0 as well.
A new analysis of the storage card at least 2 times
Change the values back to 1 if it works

My 3.5 ESi sever takes a long time to start. It gets stuck on the loaded vmfs2 succsessfully. Is there a way to speed up? I think it's because I use the iSCSI Software, but not sure. I tried to reduce the maximum number of units LOGICS of scan-to-5, but it does not help. Is it a means of support for a vmfs2 deactivation and all other methods to speed up the boot process?
Thank you
Tony
How long takes for the operational system?
If you have the iSCSI system software can be 1-5 min slower than normal.
For vmfs2, see:

VMWare Workstation 6.5 Auto boot OS invited at startup?
I'm under XP 64 bit on my host OS.
I have 3 * nix OS in my VMWare Workstation 6.5 install, and I would love it if they could start automatically when the server restarts. Is this possible? Google is coming short.
> Google is coming short.
? -you will find several instructions on how to run a virtual machine as a service provider in google.
What all simply create a batch that looks like this
Start vmplayer.exe vm1.vmx
Start vmplayer.exe vm2.vmx

and put this batch in the startup of your user profile folder?

Boot PXE ESXi 5.5.0 problems
Trying 5.5 to the PXE boot ESXi and the conduct of affairs. Receiving the message ' Initial menu has no entry tag ' when I understand what follows in the pxelinux.cfg file.default esx-5.5/menu.c32
title of menu install ESXi 5.5.0
Tag install
label of the menu of ESXi 5.5.0
kernel esx-5.5/mboot.c32
Add esx-5.5/boot.cfg - c
I have solved my problem. It turns out that the pxelinux.0 file we have on our kickstart server is old and what is not compatible with mboot.c32 and menu.c32.

VM doesn't qutoboot upward after the restart of the ESXi host
Hi all
I environment, there is only a single Cluster. The Cluster has an ESXi host. all virtual machines including vCenter VM are resides on the ESXi host. When I reboot the host can all VM does not start?
For comparison, there is a different environment, there are two Clusters (Cluster 1 and Cluster 2) in vCenter, Cluster 1 has two hosts ESXi Cluster 2 has only a single ESXi host. vCenter runs on the ESXi host residing in Cluster1.
When I reboot the host residing in Cluster2, all virtual machines may start automatically.
is that any expert can explain the difference? Why single environment can auto boot VMs when both of these environment has a host to the Cluster and cluster activate HA service?
environments are executed at the ESX5.5.
You will need to check the box allow VMS to start and stop automatically with the host system and then change the setting on the edit tab, and mention what needs to be done for each machine.

Why deploy Auto if nothing is registered on the host hard disk?
Hello world
We have read many articles and know that deploy Auto load ESXi image directly on the memory of the host, without installing it on the disk hard host. I also use Auto deploy to deploy many hosts of ESXi 5.0, everything works fine until I have restart these hosts ESXi - all gone and these hosts try to boot from the network again and again...
So my question is: why it takes car? and how we can deploy and save the ESXi image on hard drive?
Thank you very much
Minh
AutoDeploy can be used - often for diskless hosts - in combination with Host Profiles, which provide the setting for guests. This greatly simplifies the updates and patches. With vSphere Autodeploy 5.1 has been improved to also be able to make deployments of the hosts.
See http://www.vmware.com/products/datacenter-virtualization/vsphere/auto-deploy.html for more details

Another corrupt ESXi USB flash drive
I have a USB flash drive as boot ESXi disk get corrupted, I thought it was a fluke, so I threw away the USB key and reinstalled ESXi on a new USB flash drive. Well, after a little more than a year, this flash drive has been corrupted as well as ESXi follow the start-up procedure.
Are consumers just don't required to act as a start-up for ESXi readers forever on the servers of USB flash drives? My actual VMs are on the hard disks on the server so I guess that the USB flash drive was not getting a lot of work too far than go of reads/writes. I know major integrators offer ESXi built in running off some flash internal drive so I assumed that flash was reliable. What is the difference between these types of enterprise flash drives and consumer flash drives? Or it is just a risk for all flash drives and it is preferable to install ESXi for one SSD or HARD drive?
I always suggest installing ESXi on a flash drive of business as sellers to test these players for the highest reliability and performance while consumer flash drives are not tested.
Consumer grade flash drive are low grade MLC (multi-level cell) based provide the alternative and low-cost storage adequate all-in-business level kitsuse flash drive boast of a higher level of performance and more

ESXi 5, move to other hardware, data on NAS Server store
Hi, I have an esxi host and virtual machines (including vcenter) are on a NAS which is a qnap. To change the esxi server, there is nothing to do with the qnap, he stayed there. I think the move will be simple, but I want just other opinions if I think I have to do is correct. Here it is;On the new server.
-install esxi
-Configure the networking and other things std
-Configure virtual networks, even as I did in the old server esxi
Stop old esxi (this will stop all my virtual machines)
New boot esxi Server
connect the data store on the qnap
start the virtual machines
set options for start/stop
Am I missing something?
Thank you
Hello
You are on the right track.
A. install the new esxi
B mount the NAS box
C. configure the network
D ensure that you are able to access the data store that has VM
E. If everything looks good, stop the virtual machine, remove ESXi inventory (old)
F. browse the data store for a machine virtual and do a right-click on the VMX file and add to the inventory on the new esxi host. Power of the virtual machine. Follow this for all other virtual machines
G. once all virtual machines are migrated, shut down the old ESX host and remove the network.
Cheers :-)
