• Photosmart 7520 (new) Auto Doc feeder does not work screaming loud noise.

  I just bought this new in box of a second party.  He was obviously nine original bag/Ribbon plastic on the entire unit.  Everything works fine but the car doc feeeder on power unit it is that loud screetching noise sounds like there is always a piece of tape somewhere.  I looked everywhere in TI lifted lids etc.  I had several hp printers and scanners with feeders doc auto know so well.  When you try to use the doc feeder it will move a few short clicks then paper error anyway inseterted, when I click to start a second or third time it advances once again very shortly.  I am handy with tools, etc.. Any suggestions?  Maybe it's under warranty even though I'm not 'original '?

  It is quite possible that the printer is under warranty. It is not based on the buyer, but according to the serial number of the printer. Please, either use the following link. Check your product warranty or call HP.

  From your description, it seems that you have done the troubleshooting necessary, but please plan to take a look at the following link. HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer series - when using the ADF, one "original jam: clear jam and press OK' Message displays on the all-in-one."

  You will find a not just yet, you will need to complete and could very well solve the problem.

  This just started happening in the last two weeks. Whenever I have to SCAN using the ADF, a black line runs from top to bottom. I cleaned the glass to the left of the flat glass and cleaned the white strip above the glass on top of the printer that opens. The community has it any other suggestions or experience with this issue? The printer is about 2 years old.  Thank you!

• scan doc feeder perpendicular black strip.

  My HP Officejet Pro 8630 scans a black band perpendicular Sun BUT only in the doc feeder.  The band is not physically printed on the document when it is scanned.  Charger doc copy perfectly, and scanning flat is perfect.  How can I fix it?  Hope I just clean something.  Curious to know why the driver alone doc - it is not a scanner separated is - this?

  A black band that appears when the upper tray is used is often due to a tiny grain of dirt or paper that is stuck in the narrow window that is right outside the window flat.  The scanner, camera itself parks in this slot, while the paper feeds past.

  Look for the band to the edge of the bucket.  Use canned air to blow everything that can be stuck there.

  I had this case with my HP AIO printer before and found the answer here on the Forum!

• The line to the bottom of the page when copying using the doc feeder

  I have a jet of office pro 8500 lower thread which has just started to have a line all the way down the page when I use the doc feeder to copy. I don't have this line when I copy from the glass. There is no line when I print. I cleaned the glass and the doc feeder roller. Any answer how to stop this. Thanks for any help

  It is probably a small spot on the glass used in the ADF for scanning. See Figure 5 in this document, which is the surface of glass that must be cleaned.

• HP Photosmart C7280 Auto Document Feeder mechanism stuck in the open position

  I had followed the troubleshooting guide to remove an original stuck in the mechanism of rolls.  First of all, I got face printing accessory two, then raised the lid of the feeder automatic and finally lifted the charger itself. I removed the jammed sheet successfully, but when he came to close the charger I encounter resistance which I am reluctant to overcome, in case something breaks. So for now, the charger and its cover are upward in the air at about 60 degrees to the horizontal.

  I couldn't see anything in particular that prevented the ADF of the fence, so I took the bull by the horns and applied just a little bit more pressure I had before - and voila! Its closure.

  Hi, I recently bought the above printer, abd despite it saying "automatic document feeder" on the box, when I try to scan a document, it scans only on self by dish/glass but usually feed the document in. It's very frustrating because I sometimes large documents to analyze and to place manually every page on the glasstop is extremely laborious. Please tell us how to get the ADF to work.

  When google suggest you address this issue to the top or the bottom is facing it is to be face down, but when you look at the online HP, he said face place even with the bent corner that suggests it is to be face down, but they also say that it depends on the manufacturer. SO if you have a M1212nf All in One HP which is the correct way for this FAX Machine use?

• Doc feeder jam. on LaserJet 3055

  I kept 3 docs imp in the ADF and ran the scan. two documents were analyzed successfully, but he stuck 3rd paper. the page was taken in properly and is stopped at halfway in the output.

  As for the question, Yes, you will need to you have a local tech take a look at the ADF unit and make sure there is no debris which could be introduced in the machine that is the cause. Have you ever had a paper jam that caused the paper jam becoming shredded or torn?

• Auto update on photosmart 6520... Normal?

  Just recently bought a photosmart 6520 and I'm running OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks.  Printer works fine, no problems that I can see and I have printed a lot of things.  I set it up to print wireless also.  While preparing to print a document today the printer starts to download something (software? virus?) by itself.  The printer display only says "Download" and after about 15 seconds of download it restarted itself.  Is this normal Download automatic?  How can I know what it downloaded?  Again, the printer made on its own.  I don't have any update prompt to update software or download to occur.  Any expert person there with an answer?   Help, please.

  I have an OfficeJet 6700. I need to scan documents of several large double-sided pages and want to use the automatic charger. I see nothing in the software to be able to analyze one side of a pile of pages, return them manually, then analyze the other side, and have the pages in a single document. It seems to me that this would be a fairly routine business need and also an easy enough task for software realize (just put each page second in order - basically the opposite of manually printing on both sides) so it makes me think that I must be missing something. Can anyone help please?

  The 6700 Officejet does not a duplex ADF to allow you to scan a two-sided document. Copy/scanning duplex is supported only in the glass on the model.
  
  I suggest that you are looking to buy a printer Officejet Pro (for example, the Officejet Pro 8600 N911g) If you are looking for the digitization of documents front / back, through the ADF. You can also look for third-party software that supports what you're looking for.

  In my view, the auto feed mechanism does not work.  No matter how I load the paper it says either it is not loaded correctly (which is) or it is a paper jam (which is not the case).  Recommendations as to what it will take to get my auto paper feed printer so I can print?  She will not even feed myself manually one sheet at a time, not to mention two or more sheets.  Thank you.
