  We have no cars 11 GR 2 DB with ASM RHEL 6.2. When I am trying to take ocr backup, below errors are encountered.

  If you do not have BECAUSE you have Oracle Local Registry (OLR) instead of Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR).

  To try OLR backup:

  ocrconfig -local -manualbackup
  

  To list the existing backups OLR try:

  ocrconfig -local -showbackup

  Thank you for your response. Acrobat is not appropriate for this task, because it is technically suitable or licensed for the server.

  Adobe have a PDF library which allows extraction of text for C/C++, but it does not OCR. There are OCR of the LiveCycle PDF Generator Server product, but I don't think that does OCR on a PDF file.

• No option for "Scan to Computer" Lion mountain on Mac

  I installed the latest drivers from "full functionality" for my Officejet Premium 8600, v12.23.0.

  I'm running OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion).

  I want to be able to scan directly from the printer to my laptop, using the function "Scan to Computer".  However, when I open the HP utility, I see no option for "Scan to Computer" in scanning settings.  I don't see options for 'Scan to email' and "Scan to Network Folder".

  In the search of these forums, only suggestions that I found are to install the full featured of the printer drivers, I have already done.

  Click your desktop, then click on the menu to go to the top and select Applications you should see the Hewlett-Packard folder.

  If you do not see such a folder, run the installation once more, make sure you check the HP recommended software during the progress of the installation...

  I just got a new computer which uses Windows 8. I have always my photosmart 309 love and often use it for scanning and an occasional fax. I have always used the Hp Director to set up my scans. I see that this is no longer an option. Is there another program I can use, or am I out of luck?

  You can try to uninstall the printer software (from the control panel), then by restarting your computer and download and reinstall the printer using the same link I posted above.

  That should help the printer freshly and correctly on your computer.

  How can I change the default values for scanning for painting so that each scan is 300 dpi?

  I'll give you an answer. What the interrogator does not understand, is that MS Paint does not have a setting for the CIO. There is no default DPI setting in MS Paint. The setting is controlled by the scanner driver or scanner itself. MS Paint simply communicates with the driver for the scanner, which then continues to do the analysis, then once completed, he hands the digitized data back to MS Paint. Therefore, the parameters of the interrogator wants to know how to change are not in MS Paint. they are in the driver scanning interface. This driver determines how he manages the parameters after returning the scanned data to the connection/disconnection of call program, in this case MS Paint. Most of the drivers scan all right back to their default value. In the case of the user, it's 100 dpi, but another scanner, this could be 150dpi (common with many scanners a few years back), and by default most recent scanners often at 200 dpi. After scanning, you need to change the defaults anywhere from new, because once the scanner driver handed the scan back data to the calling program, it is no longer in communication with her. It doesn't matter whether you use MS Paint, Picasa, IrfanView, or any other program that connects to the scanner TWAIN. If you start with a scanner that has a default of 300 dpi, you would have thought that it was a question on.   Some scanners allow control of the scanner itself. I use a HP (all-in-One) printer/scanner combination. Then I can scan directly from the scanner/printer and still get 300/600 dpi scans. By default the program to manage the registered file type determines which program will be executed when the image is sent to the computer. It could be MS Paint or IrfanView or whatever. Very often, I send the scans on a SD card on the printer instead. When I'm finished, I have a SD card with images scanned at 300 dpi that I take to another computer. Because the scanner/printer has been set to use 300 dpi by default, MS Paint, IrfanView or any other program that launches a scan will get also 300 dpi scans.

  What the questioner needs is a scanner which allows its default value to or one that is default to 300 dpi in a first time. If you try a new scanner, you will find that the parameters does not return to 100 dpi, but instead has regardless of the definition of the scanner as default.

  Given that most of the pilots to simple scanner always return to the default devices, and in this case, setting this parameter scanner is only 100 dpi, you can use a software that is specially designed to solve this program with its own resolution settings. An example is called "search". In its interface, you choose what the desired resolution, then when it communicates with the scanner, he deals with the change in the value whenever a scan is requested.

  If you use color or grayscale is a separate choice outside the DPI setting. Some scanners can scan to a different resolution for shades of gray than they do for the color. Nevertheless, the problem and the solution is the same.

  MorningCall, the scanner has the function of copies/scans only and can not transfer text on the control.

  It is a program that allow us to scan documents and photo ID and link them to specific accounts.  I don't think it's important, but the scanners were canon.

  You're right, the "scan to OCR" can come in handy. There is no way to use the OCR software that comes with the printer software. If you are wanting to edit a PDF file without it first scans, there are third party software available that can help. Adobe Acrobat DC is a program that will edit the PDF option.

  I also found that you can edit PDF files in Word format if you are using MS Office 2013 or 2016. Here is a support for MS Office document that can help with this - Edit PDF content in Word.

  In my view, that this printer has an option to install the OCR software. Have you used the installation software cd that comes with this printer to install the printer to your computer. try revived the sw installation cd, and then select the option install more software. Then click OCR if it its list to begin the installation of this software.
