Available only via an ethernet cable connection
New home, new line telephone (Virginmedia), new router - can connect via ethernet cable but not wireless... Diagnostics of Dell wireless WLAN card utility connections test returns 'internet ping IP = a failed' with the info box indicating "the router/AP wireless for your network works, but your computer is not able to use an IP address to connect to the Internet. You will not be able to connect to the Internet, although you might be able to connect to your local network. Contact your network administrator or the installer of the router/access point wireless to help"
Follow the steps in the link given below and check if that helps.
If the steps above does not help then I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the router in order to configure the router.
Original title: deleted Ethernet adapter
HelloAll trying to fix my computer run Registry cleaners, I managed to delete my Ethernet adapter, I have taken steps to try to fix this problem and have been advice to visit Microsoft support for help.I have a Dell Dimension 5100 and am running Windows XP, I am unable to connect to the Internet via an Ethernet cable but I am able to connect with other devices.First of all, I contacted my Internet provider which forced me to various checks to see why I was getting a message saying acquiring network address and it seemed that I had no IP address and could not connect. He eventually get look in the network adapters Device Manager, he demonstrated Intel PRO/100 VE network connection that is activated in the State shows that it works, but there is no Ethernet adapter shown in this place.I tried to insert Dell drivers and utilities disk, but that does not change.I tried to download on an other computer files from dell that look like they are pilots.I tried to set up a new connectionNone of what I tried so far seems to have worked, can anyone suggest what I can do to fix this?Thank youKevin
1. what you're trying to fix by running registry cleaners?
2. How did you remove Ethernet card?
3. How are you online using other devices?
4. What are the devices are?
Intel PRO/100 VE network connection is the Ethernet adapter on your computer. The following articles may be useful:

I just loaded windows XP on my old tower. I have an ethernet cable connected to my modem, but I can't establish an internet connection.
You are welcome for the answer. You will need to use a cd/dvd drive or a removable media like a flash/USB device to transfer the file on the computer in question. You can download the LOM Broadcom 10/100 Ethernet controller driver from HERE.
I have recently install wide telewest broadband via the installation disc. I used the provided ethernet cable. During installation, I received an error message stating that it could not connect due to various problems.
After a long discussion with the customer service and try several solutions over the phone we wouldn't always get connection using the ethernet cable.
Telewest has also provided a USB cable so I was told to remove the ethernet connection and plug in the USB. The connection has been made instantly.
Has been informed by the technical support of Telewest, that I had a problem ethernet on the laptop. This could be correct, or maybe it was an ethernet cable from the spleen.
Any suggestions? My laptop is only four months.
It is not easy to believe that the network adapter does not work on your laptop. What is the status of LAN in Device Manager? When the cable is connected is the assets of orange or green led or not? Try also to start ConfigFree tool. Under the physician connectivity tab, you can see their actual situation and if there is a problem of communication it will be shown here.
If there is any attempt of trying to test it on another network (perhaps in your company).
You can also contact your dealer and allow it to check the device. It can be done in the store and may not take a lot of time.
I replaced my old XP desktop with new Dell XPS One with Vista. The old office was connected to my router (WRTP54G - Firmware Version: 5.01.04) via Ethernet cable and worked like a charm. A new won't recognize this connection - is seen as "unidentified network" with "access: Local only". The wireless connection on the same office works, but I still don't understand why I can't it be connected via cable. My XP laptop is not yet had problems with this Ethernet connection to the router - it recognizes immediately as the connection to the local network and connects to the Internet.
I suspect there is a problem with the WRTP54G in the Vista environment, because the Ethernet connection started work immediately after I have had bypassed the router and connected the office directly to the cable modem.
Any help to fix this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, just inherited an old 4050 TN printer which I connected directly to my router using an RJ45 ethernet cable.
My PC is connected via ethernet also cable to my router. I can not get my PC or my network to recognize the printer.
I tried to download the HP Universal HP.com and printing software that I hope, are the right drivers, but so far nothing that I allows me to connect the printer.
I tried to add the printer to my homegroup, but Windows 10 always tells me that I can't create a homegroup on my PC, I don't know why it didn't, but I recently had to re - install windows 10 and my working group worked well previously.
If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct drivers and installation software (do not have the original disk I'm afraid), that would be fantastic.
My usual procedure would be to go through the printer menus and set IP DHCP configuration method.
Then I would have to power cycle the printer with it plugged into the router and him give 2 minutes after getting a ready state and print configuration pages.
On the configuration pages you will find the IP address that the router gave the printer, put this address in the location bar of a browser.
Now you will look at the web server integrated in the jetdirect card and you can change it for an IP address manually so it will be the same after each power Cycle.
I usually take the IP address assigned by the router and add about 22, in other words if it receives your printer an address ending the remplacer.24 par.4.
You add the printer through the devices window and printers.
Now, you can set up your device and that you add it to your selection of PC add local device, then you want to create a new TCP IP port.
When you create the new port, you use the IP address that you gave your printer.
Original title: Shared network problem
I am trying to use a shared network, configure as follows. My computer connect wireless to my router. My PS3, however, seems to be really slow when connecting wireless to the router and is at a proper speed when connected via ethernet. So, I have my PS3 connected to my computer with an ethernet cable. I put the wifi connection to be shared. Next, I set up my PS3 to connect to cable internet. Has gone through the steps and connected properly and at full speed too. However, there is a problem. My PC guard 'give up' connection to my router, while remaining connected to the PS3. I have to manually connect to my router again, regardless of the connection automatically option. Almost as if my PC is to use ethernet for internet access, (which he won't get that which is connected to the PS3) and so it loses the wifi connection. This abandonment happens around every 5 minutes or more.Is it possible to keep my PC connected to my wireless router and still be connected to my PS3 through ethernet to connect my PS3 using my PC?
The problem seems to have 'fixed itself. I tried messing around with the connections that would not work even the bridge. Then I've switched back to ICS and did not have a disconnect since then.So the problem is now resolved, but don't know how?Whatever it is, I am very grateful for your help Manasa, it is well appreciated!
I need to connet to my iPad, a digital mixing console THE Behringer X Air xr18.
LLA WiFi connection e/s is not overall durin live so I need to use the Ethernet cable.
You can not unless someone makes a dongle, but even in this case an application had to talk with the dongle do not believe that a dongle could add something like kernel as a new network interface which could access normal applications
Can I use my Airport Express (802.11n Wi - Fi) to connect with an ethernet cable, a locus counter that is used with a solar panel inverter? Currently I use the hotspot to connect two different Mac computers and an Ipad. Sungevity, Setup, told me that the signal must go in a direction of my locus meter satellite modem. Sungevity also told me that if I can hard wire any device (such as a computer) directly from my Airport, I should also be able to do the same with the meter of locus. Has anyone tried this before?
North Country Boy
What is the AirPort Express you have?
As you test, turn off the WiFi on a computer and then connect the computer to the local network <-->port on the AirPort Express using an Ethernet cable to see if the computer can get a good connection Internet in this way?
If he CAN... and if the people of support for your solar panels have provided the correct information... then the meter will work.-->
Using Windows 7 with a Cisco/Linksys E1000 router
I have successfully implemented a computer laptop and desktop with wireless, but now wan router to set up my office to the router with an ethernet cable. I connect the ethernet cable to port LAN 1 of the router and the ethernet port on my PC
but the PC shows that my wireless connection and
the network and sharing Center shows a network of "Unidentified" with connection to the Local network and internet access
How to configure the unidentified local network connection to connect to the internet
Thanks for your help
Disable your wireless connection
Start > connect to > show all connections > and disable the wireless, while there, check your "wired" connection to the local area network properties. Click right and in the general tab, select TCP/IP and click Properties and configure it to your network, probably you want to get the IP and DNS services automatically. Save settings and close. You shouldn't have to restart to see the changes. I hope this works!
I have a Satellite P750 running on Windows 7.
When I plug the ethernet cable, I have no connection.
The same cable works fine on other PCs.
The network is set to obtain an IP address automatically. The network connection uses RealTek PCIe GBE family Controller and diagnostics say that this works normally.
I don't know what else to check or try to get this connection work.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Are you using the original operating system that you got with your laptop?
When you check the NIC in Device Manager is installed and registered properly card?
When you connect the LAN cable to the LAN port are yellow and light green assets?
Have 2 pavilions and lost the ethernet connection, with cable, on one of them, yet have the wifi capability. When you attach the ethernet cable, the port light does not illuminate.
Currently using my second Pavilion, with the cable is connected, and the light on the port is light.
The problem would be with the connection/WiFi wireless card? This card Realtek manages cables and wireless?
Prefer to do my own repairs when possible, as labor costs are far too high for my budget.
Please use the forums.
Sounds to me like the port has been disconnected somehow, as it should be a combo wireless connection/WiFi card as you requested. You can check to make sure that the port is still connected properly, however it is likely that it will need to be replaced.
See you soon,.
I have xperia Z3 and the center of update version 23.0.1.A.5.77 update only via computer offer.
However, it seems that some phones received via OTA as well.
No matter what idea it will be later available via OTA?
Phone is not the carrier or locked version.
It takes a while to OTA. In my E1 twice I had received notification of update of the system, but he said computer required after 25 days I received the OTA update. There are therefore opportunities you can receive OTA updates after say 30 days and sometimes even after 15 days. So if you want to update only through OTA method just patiently wait for a properly long period of time to ride.
I'm having problems to get an internet connection via a cable ethernet to my office. The laptop works everywhere else, but not in the office. The strangest thing is that my desktop at the office computer works perfectly with the same cable.
The icon in the taskbar of configfree reads "MARVELL YUKON 88E8036 PC... 169.254.95.8"no matter how many times I disconnect and reconnect it to my office. Curiously, the IP Office when it is connected to the same cable is 192.168.1.69.
I was told to change the tcp/ip properties manually, but I'm not able to do because I have not all entries in the NETWORK CONNECTIONS or can't seem to create a new.
I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.
I wonder why you have no entries for network connections.
Click Start-> settings-> network connections-> connections to the Local network-> properties
Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
If you use a server in your office and the IP address is assigned automatically then all TCP/IP parameters must be on automatically
