Backlight bleed Edge 15

Hey all,.

I had a post a few months ago, but it has been mixed around and did not answer, probably because the edge was still new and was not yet listed on the Lenovo site.

Anyway, I'm having a problem of backlight villain, and I wonder if it's worth to send it to repair. I have attached an image, and you'll notice in the upper left, and about 2/3 left in the upper right there is a fairly large yellow glow. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for answers!

Needs, no. Expected, Yes.

This is an excellent example of some horrible backlight bleed.

    Hello

Ive got myself one of these 'affordable' ultra wide gems. They have really beautiful colors, sharpness, usability etc.  But until you have something really dark night on them = C.

Short background: Ive branch a week ago and found out that after the warm-up (say 2 hours), boring backlight bleed appears down right next to the buttons. Ive called Dell Support me am replacement, they mail send again and the next DAY same courier picks up an old.

Left monitor is NEW REPLACEMENT, everything is 'old', I bought the week.

    http://postimg.org/Gallery/dpxp93e/91f1a32f/

Apartment minor backlight bleed all around them (Yes, technology), they both weird 'feature' of the purge of backlight next to the buttons (bottom right), which will appear after good warm-up! And left a (replacement) is slightly visible even in Office work as dark-VisualStudio etc.
To comment on my pictures, it's difficult to take realistic pictures, IPS glow really take in the way here, I tried my best with the Nokia N8. However you will see in the movies dark night. Two low bleeding are caused by the bottom edge, in my humble OPINION preasuring show slightly inward. It spoils a bit otherwise nice monitors. And Yes both having beside yeach other even for a night makes you immunne against doubt if you chose a "too large", its awesome.
So my question is what do you think? I'm whiney?

TLDR: Left a replacement, right 'old of the week' a. What do you think?

    g0r4k,

We do not test/measure our monitors in a dark room. We use standard office lighting. But, according to photos, it is within our specifications from manufacturer for difference in backlight.

  • Warranty does cover backlight bleeding on Satellite A300-1JH

    Hello.

I would like to know if backlight bleeding to a laptop (it of bad enough, nearly half of the screen is gray instead of black) can be solved with warranty. They change the display or give me a new model? Or are they taking action at all?

I can always return the laptop that 10 days have not passed since I bought it, but I want to keep it if they can change the display. In it's current condition, it is unusable on a long term.

First, you will need to contact the ASP in your country and the ASP technician must check the display / laptop if there is really a bad screen work.

    But listen mate...
I read in other forums on the display of the symptoms that you describe in your ad and something like which is also visible on LCD TV s and to be honest, it s not a malfunction. They are simply properties of LCD.

However, you can contact the ASP and the technician could provide more details on this symptom

    Good bye

  • Horrible corner of 27XI HP Pavilion backlight bleeding / glow.

I bought this screen 3 days ago and I noticed that there was some really bad backlight bleeding in each of the 4 corners and especially in the lower left corner. This is very visible on dark backgrounds, even on the lowest brightness. Black on this monitor is totally uneven and is horrible.

The monitor is defective? I took a picture of him.

    http://S14.postimg.org/4ugapqqw0/20141013_191756.jpg

Moreover, I can always take back at the store, but I would avoid rather than. If it was defective, HP sends a new and takes one here directly or I have to this package and return it by myself and wait for a new?

    Thank you.

If anyone cares, I got the replacement and it seems to be a newer version cheaply built the revision of this monitor. It has a different menu of software packages to search with different parameters in it (she has a "certified technicolor" defining which resembles nothing good) and comes with a CD of different drivers. The screen itself also seems to have a different lcd panel drab colors, less 'clarity' and even worse backlight bleeding than the old.

I do not recommend this monitor, not to mention, if you buy it you will get the new revision which has not only bleeding but a worse sign as well. I'll keep my old one and sending it back.

To find out if you have the 'good' version of this monitor or bad, just look at the Setup menu, bad angles rounded and HP brand on top, the 'right' has a completely anonymous menu with square edges. Version of the firmware on the right said RIM111 and bad RIM232.

I am very disappointed with this product, I generally don't like too much about that kind of stuff, but this one deserves a negative review.

  • Unacceptable backlight bleed with Dell U2414H - credit refused to Dell or upgrade

5 days ago bought 2 monitors a U2414H Dell and DELL UP2516D in Hong Kong.

The Dell U2414H a lot of backlight bleeding, the worst thing is the ugly yellow glow really distinct on the upper left, visible even in office lighting. The backlight bleeding was acceptable limit if this not that hideous yellow glow in the corner of a whole new monitor.

The DELL UP2516D, I have not had any problems with it at all.

Dell sent support some pictures and asked for credit/upgrade to the DELL UP2516D, but was denied a response:

"We verify that this is a normal matter. Because it's the technique of back-lighting, all the monitor will be this phenomenon. It is not hardware issue, so we can't support you for the UP2516D upgrade or the refund. »

I had a lot of monitor in my life, it's not normal or acceptable.

    Help, please

It's the Forum USA, so you will need to re - contact Customer Support for your country. That U2414H does not meet our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. They do not follow the Dell return policy. Inside of 30 days of the invoice date, you can get a refund for ANY reason any. Don't like us for like exchanges, so that they are correct in saying you can't return the U2414H and get the UP2516D.

  • U2715H, the issue of consistency & backlight bleeding

I just got my U2715H two days ago and I noticed the color of the screen backlight is not uniform (on the left side has a pink tint and brightness levels vary up and down). I also bleed backlight. I find it
unacceptable when paying $650 for a monitor during my previous $150 we not had one of these questions. Please tell me that there is a defect.

  • Backlight bleeding U2413 Acceptable?

I have a U2410 with a warranty exchange for 5 years and has recently developed a black streak running on a diagonal across the middle. I have contacted Dell about this and sent them pictures. They approved the Exchange, and subsequently, I received a U2413 as a replacement. Right now, I have my old U2410 and the U2413. When I created the U2413 to see what she looked like, I noticed severe bleeding backlight. I was wondering if there are any other U2413s with less bleeding (or), or is it the standard? This is a rev A00 with a Jan 2014 date of manufacture. The photos below are very accurate compared to what I see, sitting in front of the screen.

    Room bright enough (overhead lighting):

No light in the room (just for reference):

N ° you wrote, "the photos below are very accurate compared to what I see", which to me means that the pictures you posted are not your specific U2413. But instead, captured from the web. I never said that the U2413 was not "your". If the photos are of your specific U2413, then the intermediate circle 3 "has a deviation, so you can ask another Exchange used/given to nine.

  • Backlight bleed U2713HM / yellowish lower left corner

First of all I have not directly buy from dell so I do not know how this effects returns. I received my monitor in the last week. I bleed backlight on my monitor which can be seen in the images of gray / black. It is noted throughout the day. I also cover quite visible cross on white / light gray backgrounds but my bad camera would not be able to show that if I didn't try. I'll add some pictures, but I don't have a camera very good with me, only my phone so it's difficult to take pictures, but I tried. Please ignore the white dots, as this seems to be something to do with my camera :/ All with contrast 70. brightness of 100. I have a revision A01 manufactured in April 2013. Thanks for any advice or help,

    Rob.

    brightness 50

    Dark - light 100

    EDIT:

Photo requested to the factory default.

    Rob-cook,

You must set the contrast to 75 and the brightness to 75 which are the default values. Dell monitors have no specification 100% backlight uniformity. If this is unacceptable to you, contact the seller and return it for credit. We can not you credit since you do not buy from us.

  • Just unpacked my set of three U2713HM monitors and they suffer from horrible yellow backlight bleeding

I'm looking for help on some questions with my 3 new monitors Dell U2713HM. They all suffer bleeding strong backlight yellow in the low left corner. 2 monitors, you can also see a few on top/top right. If it was just normal white bleeding I could swallow, but this affects the image quality when the games, watching a movie or image display. It is also visible hatching effect on them, but that I'm not too concerned about. Even in bright transom, the purge and image change is observable. I have pictures of the problem as well in a dark room to show better on camera, as well as with a bright light to show that it is always present. I also have a copy of the image on the screen and used for the test. Please advise on the next step. It is a fairly expensive purchase and I can't settle for such a quality of image.

Tous3 are almost PERFECT! It's so awesome! I'm really excited. You have no idea how frustrated and crazy, I was when I opened first my original set and wanted to crush. This justifies my expenses and restore my faith in Dell. I have never owned all Dell monitors, but had always heard the best reviews on the Ultrasharp series. My first experience was full of disappointment, but things are on the right track now!

Thanks for taking care of me! You have definitely won yourself a new loyal customer. Thank you also for your Poorna the Customer Service representative who handled my case. She has done very well, convinced me to try a new game despite already purchsed one set of Asus 1440 p monitos. She took the time to listen and understand my concerns and the situation, she offered me a fair compensation and promised me that I will not be disappointed with my next batch. She mentioned that they would be personally tested for issues I mentioned. I don't know if this is the case, but in any event, she made a promise and you guys delivered. Now, I just need to redirect the old game and return the other monitors where I have been.

    Thank you!

  • iPad 2 Air backlight bleeding problem

    Hello world

I let down my iPad 2 Air (warranty expired) with my case of 50cm in height, and then my screen bleed a few lights. There is not a crack, touch screen and other functions are operational.

I heard iPad Air 2 has a unibody screen, if the screen change cost more than 1000 + RM, then it is not really meaningful. Why not buy a new one, you know.

I wonder - is it necessary to change the entire screen? or just a connector problem?

To determine what the problem is, the iPad needs to be tested. Take it to an authorized service provider.

  • U2414H backlight bleed

My new U2414H I have a mass purge of backlight. The previous was already exchanged cause there was also a mass purge of backlight. Right now I don't know what do more. Here are pictures of the monitor. When I play games or watch a movie, the light is quite visible on dark images and it bothers my eyes.

The brightness of this photo is on 35

    [img] http://i.imgur.com/cHVoWGR.jpg [line]

And on this one is failing 75

    [img] http://i.imgur.com/ubmPpyq.jpg [line]

I would say it is out of our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. But, understand, we do not have a 100% guarantee of same backlight uniformity. The sides and the corners will be different from that of the centre. All you can do is keep doing exchanges.

  • Backlight serious bleeding on 40L7355DB

Just opened my new TV last night, it's my LCD Toshiba 3rd in a row, I update usually about every 4-5 years...

Everything on TV is fantastic apart from the ruined backlight bleeding around the edges and also a few fixes to the middle. I got a fully backlit system for the quality of the image, is it normal that this is the case?

It is at risk of completely backlit? Is the hardware or software problem? A firmware update would do the trick? Can someone jump in and help?

    Thanks for reading.

    > Everything on TV is fantastic apart from the ruined backlight bleeding around the edges and also a few fixes to the middle.

I realize that there could be several reasons for the purge of backlight (fatal, flashlighting, etc.). According to my experience all LED and LCD TVs will have some effects of clouding because it is a common side effect of this technology.
In most cases, you could reduce this cloudiness trying to play with the display settings. Generally, this should help to reduce these effects to min.

If not, you could ask a technician to view and check the TV Panel

  • T440s touch bleeding/ghosting screen problems

I have a version T440s FHD touch and noticed that the screen is /ghosting bleeding. IM curious to know how many people have this problem with their screens T440s... is related to a bad batch, or all of them are like that? Could there be a software patch or bios? If this isn't the case, I'm back there for the non-touchscreen version.

In fact, the colors on my touchscreen FHD T440s are very good. WARNING: no pixel dead either. There is no ghosting or (choice of the wrong words). The only thing I noticed is bleeding it backlight on the edges of the screen when its black... but that disappears in white/color lights. I noticed the exact same thing on my RCA 46 inch full HD TV flat screen... the backlight bleeding when he is black, but it goes away when as soon as the content is displayed. If its really not a problem. View bleeding around the edges is noticeable when the screen is black.

  • Want to 17.3 m7-n109dx: purge of backlight screen

This laptop is a best buy Blue Label, configured for sale exclusively through Best Buy.

The price is right for the features included, but we are very disappointed with HP's QA measures. This unit would never have out of the factory.

Right out of the box, the display suffers from serious backlight bleeding in the two lower corners of the display, so obvious that it is obvious for anyone to see.

The screen resolution can be Full HD 1920 x 1080, but Netflix and Amazon HD videos are not as sharp or as bright as the same videos at the same resolution on my 3 year old MacBook Pro 15.4 Retina display ".

Backlit keyboard is turned off or on and is way too bright, with a bright light that leaks on the chiclet keys, clearly visible and distracting.

We want to love this computer.  We are tempted to simply exchange it for another.  In addition to our MacBook, we have a 13 "HP Pavilion dv3510nr purchased in 2009 which has been flawless.  But with our new HP Envy demonstrating such an obvious flaw in the display, we wonder what hidden defects may occur weeks or months from now if we were to buy another.

This purchase represents a perfect example of why we shouldn't make a purchase of this kind from a seller exclusively online. At least, with Best Buy, we have a big-box store where we can get back to it.

Problem solved. I went back the second HP laptop to Best Buy and bought a mixed open-box fully justified all-in-one 21.5-inch iMac with a glorious 1080 p display, keyboard and wireless mouse and not a single question.  Partitioned the hard drive for WIndows 10.  Sorry, HP.

  • Purge of backlight screen

I just bought a new U2414h and I noticed a white spot on the lower left side whenever I display photos more dark or even when the monitor turns off. This problem is visible under a condition look a weirdo and even if the backlight is completely upwards or downwards. I know that IPS monitors have the inherent problem of backlight bleeding, uneven, but I think it's much more than the average.

This problem is seen even when the cable from port Dell display (what I usually use) is disconnected, it is not my computer. This problem is seen during the diagnosis, in fact, the following photos were taken using the tool that changes my screen to different colors.

    KaeporaG,

This monitor conforms to the specifications of the manufacturer for difference in backlight. But since you are within the initial 30 days from the date of invoice, you can return it for credit. If you support you want to return, they can offer you a new Exchange as a compromise.
