Backup encryption software blackBerry with Link on Mac

Using the link 1.1.1 build 33, on iMac with OS - X 10.8.5

Just tried my first backup (of Q10) with link.

He did friezer ask if I want to encrypt the backup, as Desktop software made for previous devices.

Am I missing something? Had not used before link and want to encrypt my files p/before you begin to use the Q10 for work. (Right now, just try to familiarize themselves with the Q10 and OS10.)

Thank you

It worked well once. Ive tried everything I can or are able to.  Ive uninstalled link even once or twice, using the uninstall program recommended here, configured to recognize windows and activated Iink on my cell.   Ive checked my settings, but I could easily be missing something. • Software BlackBerry BB link for BBQ10 backups?

Maybe a simple question and I am just something missing: previously, I used the Blackberry Destop software to the data of the backup device in a file on my hard drive, I could then extract later if necessary (SMS, BBM, etc.). I expect to use Blackberry link in the same way, but I don't see this as a feature. What/how do this with the BBQ10/BB link combo?

    Thank you

  • Software BlackBerry BB link do not backup via cable, wifi sync still works

Hello a few months ago, I noticed my classic used BB connect via cable to the BB link. Yes, I tried other ports and other cables. Yes, he stays cool and yes I see classic windows Explorer if really the cable and port are working well.

But the cable is required for backup of BB. Shame, I'm so hot on any other data PC returns with several internal & external readers.

I don't remember if it was after a device OS updated. as I only need to back up once a month or more.

I read the forum seen reloading BBLInk. did not work. I went to re - download link, but I see that my version is 1.2.3.56 and download day is 1.2.0.52 which seems backwards.

All thoughts, I will try this version first?

(why we are forced to update BB OS with bl * daily messages dy practically forcing us to be updated)

with the general 7/10 s/o updates cause more problems than they solve - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

SOLUTION - BOOM. (Problem when connected via the LINK says BB cable still disconnected)

I tried to install on a different pc with nothing doesn't so I thought to be a thing of the phone.

parameters--> storage and access--> access USB--> EXTINCTION mass storage mode

(I thought by activating this option it permits mass storage at the same time as connected back to the top because my Bold9900 did not allow this simulateously).

PLUGGED in DEVICE NEW [even if when I installed the last link it also installed mix & drivers] WHEN I PLUGGED in, the UNIT has GIVES ME OPTION INSTALL the DRIVERS. MASS STORAGE; SD ACCESS; IGNORE.

    Select the DRIVER INTALL

Drivers have been installed from the device to the PC, a new icon in the systray, click on the drivers have been installed, but first item says "DEVICE DISCONNECTED", so when pilots I finished DEVICE UNPLUGGED AND re PLUGGED & BBLINK BOOM now says device has been plugged in.

resolved, return to fact & done.

  • Software BlackBerry BB link and questions Z10

I just updated my OS Z10 from T-Mobile to 10.1.0.4200 and everything, including the Wi - Fi calls works fine.

I have connected to my MacBook Pro and BB link 1.1.1 (Build 33) via USB and run a full backup. In order to get backup to work I need to cut Wi - Fi.

Link to Blackberry keeps telling me that an update of the operating system Blackberry 10 (10.1.0.4200) is available and it is stated that it is 18.1 MB in size.

The operating system that I've updated from T-Mobile has been 148 MB in size.

    Anyone know what is happening?

    Problem is solved

Pending updates were a few preloaded apps that I had deleted.

  • Software BlackBerry BB link 1.2.2.13: Z10 is shown "trendy" on USB, not via Wi - Fi

Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, all current patches, firewall Windows 7 standard of Microsoft with the rules set up by BB link 1.2.2.13; no anti-virus (MS Windows Defender and MS enhanced mitigation experience Toolkit 4.1). PC user account is user regular, not administrative.

Z10 BB 10.2.0.1803. (New first time BB user.)

Two devices on the same subnet of Wi - Fi home, IPv4 in 10.x.x.x address space assigned by DHCP. 'Updating of the devices' on BB link shows correct that peripheral named Z10.

Problem: BB link installed first worked on USB and Wi - Fi, i.e. peripheral was shown as 'connected' to the BB link once I had put in place the USB link, I was able to navigate Z10 volumes on PC and PC link shared folders BB appeared in the file manager BB Z10 even when the USB cable is removed.

However, it did not last more than a few days (I keep a Wi - Fi connection on both phone and PC, this last is turned on and off several times a day), but I managed after fighting re-establish the Wi - Fi connection in both directions between the two devices several times. No consistent recipe can't find yet chance just silent.

But now the navigation (and synchronization of files/music/etc.) works only PC--> Z10 and * only * USB connected, BB watch Z10 disconnected when not link USB connected. also displays the shared folders is no longer under the name of PC in the Z10 file manager when USB connected!

Tried to BB link uninstall, restart, clear all records link BB config, restart, reinstall link BB restart, connect to BB ID on link BB, configure access to the USB device, restart, try Wi - Fi access to the device to PC: bad luck, the navigation works only PC--> Z10.

Can anyone help with this issue? (I've never used BBM before--no one among my friends and family use phones BB - but maybe you can direct your PIN messages and we can talk - all pins will be treated in the strictest confidence.)

The Z10/PC BB two-way file sharing is a really useful feature, I want to make it work!

I'm sorry that the problem still persists.

The options of resting to try (I don't know whether you did or not):
    1. install BlackBerry link in another PC that never installed BB or BBDS link to know is that BB link works well here. If other works in this PC, means your recent PC is the problem.
    2. clean uninstall link in your recent PC.
3 restoration of the PC system date of your link was fine (I did once and solved the problem).
    4 reset.

If still fails, you can contact BlackBerry support at http://helpblog.blackberry.com/ to get a formal support. Forums Guru is welcome to another direction. Thank you.

    HI guys,.

Basically, whenever my Q10 is connected via Blackberry link - a Blackberry Q10 folder automatically appears and creates each appropriate folder for photos/music/videos in my documents however I want to do, there are some things that I want to keep my handset on my laptop, and not anything like multimedia such as videos and photos I want to copy manually my camera on my laptop.

    2. my pictures folder in Blackberry link starting also somehow download all my photos from facebook to in link BB? I don't want to do, I was not yet connected to facebook for this where I can't stop what's happening?

    At soon Bretsy

I found the way to fix this...

If you disable automatic synchronization, you can manually synchronize the files between your computer and your device. You must manually synchronize any changes to files that manually synchronize you.

    1. On your computer, open BlackBerry link.
    2. At the bottom of the screen, click on your device.
    3. Click on the settings icon.
    4. In the view settings, click synchronization.
    5. Do one of the following:
      • To turn off automatic synchronization for your music, turn off the Musiccheckbox.
      • To disable the automatic synchronization of your photos, clear the Picturescheckbox.
      • To turn off automatic synchronization for your video, disable the Videoscheckbox.
      • To disable the automatic synchronization of your documents, clear the check box of Documents.

  • Software BlackBerry BlackBerry link restore backup on laptop

I have created a support for my Z10 using BlackBerry Link, the next day that my Z10 crashed. It is likely that will be replaced by a classic, but I haven't found the classic in stock yet. First question: can I restore selected files from the backup to my laptop? Second question: can I restore selected files backup Z10 to a classic? I'm particuilarly interested Contacts, but there is a treasure of files, including downloads, I don't want to lose. -rabbitupnorth

    Hi rabbitupnorth,

    To answer your questions:

1.) files saved in a backup BlackBerry can not be restored to your laptop. Data such as Contacts should be synchronised using BlackBerry link from your smartphone to the computer.

2.) Yes, the backup file created from your BlackBerry 10 smartphone can be restored to the classic BlackBerry smartphone. To do this, please make sure that you are connected to the classic BlackBerry with the same BlackBerry ID that was used to create the backup file. Otherwise, BlackBerry link will not be able to restore these data.

Something to consider: there may be problems for some applications application compatibility when you restore the BlackBerry Z10 version for the classic BlackBerry. These are not very widespread and application developers have done good work to include support for the classic BlackBerry screen resolution, but you'll notice that some applications are not properly formatted to change the screen size/resolution. I would recommend looking for BlackBerry World app after updates restored data in the classic.

From my experience from a BlackBerry BlackBerry classic Z30, most if not all applications have worked extremely well after the restoration and I had no specific problem.

  • BlackBerry software please update link (or the BONES of BB10) connection to connect to a device via USB with Powershare BB10

    After reviewing many topics:

    https://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-link/BlackBerry-link-no-device-connected/m-p/2515...

    https://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-link/link-won-t-recognize-Q10-on-Mac/TD-p/2912982

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/BlackBerry-link-F300/BlackBerry-link-Windows-8-1-cannot-recognize-black...

I discovered that the problem of not recognizing device with link performed from USB (2.0 and 3.0) port with Powershare function.

I don't think it was the problem of the computer (laptop) with this feature because it will be a trend now.

So please update link or BB10 OS this link can recognize peripheral BB10.

We look forward to good news from Blackberry!

After the 10.3.0.1418 (sunk), now the link and my BB Q10 is connected!

    Thanks to the 10.3

    Hi all

I just had a software problem with my mac and had to reinstall everything using Apple. One problem, lost lightroom 5. Apple said that the code of the address has changed. How to recover my photos or have I lost?

    At soon Pete J

    Hi Pete,.

You can install Lightroom via this link:

    Download Photoshop Lightroom

However, to get the rear changes you have previously done in Lightroom, you need to get the backup of your previous Lightroom Catalog.

Store you the backup of your Lightroom catalog before recharging your Mac OS?

    Kind regards

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry link does not connect WiFi but mixture

    Hi all

I can be alone at this moment, but I can't connect to the link using the WIFI in my passport.  I've updated and fact uninstall several times.  I bought my passport in the spring of last year and it has been a struggle since then.  When I first set up the Link software it was fabulous.  It connected quickly and repeatedly throughout the day.  I could transfer files to and from my PC using my PC or my passport.

As time has passed, I had to uninstall and reinstall the software Link several times so he could work on WIFI.  From 13/08/16 today I uninstalled and reinstalled the link again and although I can connect by USB connection WIFI connection does not work while the mixture is done with WIFI.

I disconnected the net and turned off the firewall.  The WIFI connection worked once but failed a second time.  In addition, the Passport will be connect to and surf the net via my virtual wifi.  I find it very strange as time has passed the liaison WIFI feature from excellent to difficult and inoperable.

    Here are the details:

I use Windows 7 pro Service pack one

I use a Microsoft Virtual WIFI Miniport Adapter

    Windows Firewall

    Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus

Passport for Blackberry with OS current starting from 13/08/16

BlackBerry Desktop Package downloaded and installed 08/13/16 after uninstalling and cleaning registry.

Thanks in advance for the help given.

I used mixes both the link because I disabled the protection in real time to Microsoft Security Essentials for a week. I was able to connect with reliability on WIFI and cellular phone network. This seems to have done the trick.
