Did you recently clean reinstall of the operating system, no malware present, all drivers up to date, no media questions before you reinstall, now, when playing video files in any format, on any media player, full-screen doesn't "stick", but she climbs to view more small window for no apparent reason.  I tried to temporarily turn off anything that might interfere: malware apps, anti-virus, auto updaters, etc., even all the processes which seemed sure to stop temporarily, but after about 20 to 30 minutes to play any video format (mpeg4, avi, DVD disc, etc., full screen will jump to the small window for no apparent reason. When the problem persisted I even downloaded fresh copies of WMP 11, WMP Classic and VLC, but no joy, screen size change continues to happen with all the players, all types of video files. I'm out of ideas. What could possibly be the cause?

[XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3, Intel 2.5 gHz, 1 GB Ram, 80 Gb HDD, SiS 661FX/GX Mirage Graphics... Yes, old, I know, but it worked well for me so far.]

Thank you for your response. I tried your suggestions but they do not solve the problem.  You did, however, lead me to looking at my system settings instead of the settings for the media players - behavior was going on with WMP 11, Media Player Classic and VLC.  I found that, I hope, will prove to be the solution: in Device Manager > Sound, video & Game Controllers > media Remotes > properties I found my video controller (mciavi32.dll) opened its properties > settings > watch the video of 'window' or 'full screen '.  I selected "full screen" and for extra measure of value WMP 11 always open it in full screen. I have not done a test yet further with these three players, but I hope that these parameters will cure the problem. Oh yes, I went to SiS, I already had the latest display driver, but I have downloaded/installed a new copy anyway, just to be certain that my old one was not corrupted in a non-obvious way.

Again, thank you for your help.

You cannot uninstall and reinstall Windows media player in Windows vista, because it is integrated inside the operating system.

This problem occurs because the Windows Media Player library database is corrupted.

See the below Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned, check if it works.

Problems with media player 11 and all other players, playing music is broken?

    Hi all

I have a big sound even and odd / problem reading music?

My computer using windows media player 11 and classic media windows and others to play my music in the hard lists recorded by windows media player 11 copied from my CD.

But here's the weird problem that only started to happen now, when I play music saved on any one of the players of the computer the sound breaks sometimes but not always?

Even if I try tp use players like windows media player 11 to play recorded video clips sound breaks toward the top, but the video image only?

I have a newly completed with windows xp home system and service pack 3, and all memory and material necessary for a pc game of level, a new graphics card was installed and by the way the problem of noise was there before this was done?

I don't know what is the fault? And I don't know how to find out what the required audio driver are for his computer system I?

I tried the right click on the audio device to see if the pilot could be updated in case that's all? All he asks is a cd or a floppy disk, but I thought you could ask to search for drivers online too?

He even now breaks the game sounds too!

    Help, please

If you access Windows Update (start - programs - Windows Update), you can
see if there is a newer driver. The drivers are optional updates are not so made
    automatically.

Download the driver for your audio hardware manufacturer (or motherboard if
"It's built-in sound). They are often newer than Windows Update.

  • Removal of all media in cd players that target a data store

I'm trying to write a script where I pick up all the virtual machines that have an image in the cd player, the points in a given data store to and then removes the media.

That's what I came with, and I think it will work.

$datastore = "iso" # Datastore that will be removed
    Get-VM | where{$_ | Get-CDDrive | where{$_.IsoPath -match $datastore }} | Export-Csv drive.csv #Gets a list of all VMs with CDs attached to that datastore
    $egress = Import-Csv ".\drive.csv"
    foreach ($_.Name in $egress) {
    Get-VM -Name $_.Name | Get-CDDrive | Set-Cddrive -NoMedia} #Removes all media in cd-drives

I feel like I cheated by exporting to a csv file, but when I tried to do a ' | '. "Select the name of ' the value I got was something like ' @{Name = XYZ}".

Any advice on how I could clean it or make it more effective?

    Hello

    Welcome to the VMware communities.

The following script is a purified your script version:

$datastore = "iso" # Datastore that will be removed
    Get-VM | Get-CDDrive | where {$_.IsoPath -match $datastore } | Set-Cddrive -NoMedia

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays
all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    Hello

Windows Media Player does not support playback of the .mp4 file format. You can reproduce .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install the decoders compatible DirectShow MPEG-4 packs. For more information, see this Microsoft KB article.

    Step 1:

Try to install this pack of code and check if it helps.

  • Windows will not read the disc media

For some reason, windows will not read dvd or cd or the floppy one and the flash drives or cards of the camera with a usb drive. What would cause this and how then I get back to work? All media works on the other pc.

Always connect these devices to drive/USB card edge USB connection (for desktop Front panel USB ports); never use a connector of the control panel back or USB hubs.

Read the page and manually or just download & run fixit MS; It just automatically all the steps

With regard to the FDD. I'll say change the player as FDD get very often defective & now a days it is difficult to get a new one. For the majority of them are now short lived to over-exploitation.

  • The music stops... With all the players!

    Hi all

I am facing problems with all music players on my Xperia Z3 Compact. The music stops to play afetr a few minutes, over and over again. Sometimes he played 3 minutes, sometimes 10 or 20 or 30 and it stops.
Any player I use (Spotify, Walkman, TuneIn Radio), and/or music is a stream or a MP3 file saved locally. He continues to stop always!

First I thought it was a bad headphone jack, which "simulates" a plug out of the jack connector - but I am faced with the question even though I'm connected to speakers or my car stereo Bluetooth (even in mode Chromecast!).

I waited for 5 Lollipop, since I've had this already under Lollipop 4 - but the update brought no change!

Does anyone have any idea where I should start troubleshooting, or better, who can give me a solution? Does anyone out there have / d the same problem?

    Thank you!
