Battery Charge level

Doing something to change the level at which my battery charge for the love of the life of the battery and now want to change it to load max capacity (100%).  How can I do this?

Click 'Start' > all programs > Samsung > Battery Life Extender > Battery Life Extender.  If you are prompted, click 'yes '. When the program is running, you should have the ability to come and go between 100 and 80% of the battery.

  • How does the ThinkPad T430s battery charge level

I recently bought a Lenovo ThinkPad T430s 2356-LRG and I was wondering how to work the charge technology. I have searched and looked in the manual, but I couldn't find a good answer.

My question is that I use Notepad a lot on current alternative. And often for long periods of medium to heavy loading. I run Linux and have set up ChargeThreshold. He stops the load to 95% and again 45%.

But when I keep the AC on, and if the battery has 80 percent, that it does not move upwards or downwards as expected. Because they have to go lower than 45%.

The power then go directly to the machine and bypass the battery? Because the battery LED on the back is disabled. Or it will go through the battery and produce cycles of load on the battery?

So let's say that the battery is bypassed, it will then be fine to keep on AC and active for a period of several days with heavy load, but the temperature of the battery. I know heat kills it.

I could also buy a 95W power adapter and remove the battery from the machine, completely when I have it in my office for an extended period of time.

It will charge the battery unless it takes. It's OK to have the battery on a computer permanently connected.

  • Battery charge disable Lenovo Z500

    Hi all

I recently got the Z500, working under Windows 8.

I have a question about the battery charge. I'm working on the laptop for long periods of time with the power supply connected. Because it is bad for the battery, is it possible to disable the loading or maybe remove the battery?

I looked in the manual and forums but I couldn't find something similar to this model.

If someone knows what I could do?

    Thanks in advance.

There is a setting in the management of the lenovo energy that limit the limit of battery charge 60% and there after stopping tilll the battery level drops to 55%. This is the battery protection mode (in some laptop that is optimize for the life of the battery or similar). It just open energy management and access the battery settings by clicking on the icon. Then select the mode and voila!

  • T440p windows 10 battery charge mode

    Hi all

I had a recently updated T440p to level to win10pro win7pro. Among other things, the most annoying is the battery charge mode: I put it in "custom load thresholdd", between 55% and 85%. Instead, each time you start the battery starts to load and I have to go to PowerManager8 and change the setting to custom. Then everything is going ok until the next start-up, where I have to do the same thing...

The notification on my antivirus is the second most annoying: I forticlient antivirus (the latest version, updated to work with win10 ok) running without problem, but in each boot win10 informs me that forticlient is disabled and keeps telling me the same every now and then... I've already put the Panel I want info on the antivirus, but win10 seems that does not understand this...

    Any help will be welcomed.

    Thank you, guys!

Hi x220forme and thanks for the welcome!

I found a 'strange' way of trying to solve my problem: I have read in this forum about someone else whom the battery was not charged as it should, and the notice was "try to degrade your power managememnt driver and power manager.

So I thought ' why not? ' and the last 36 hours, I installed Power Management Driver 1.67.03 and Power Manager 6.67 (with windows 10 Pro in a T440p).

Until now, looks like it works well. After many restarts, my battery is at 85% and fails to demand, as he has done with PM8. I'll wait a few more days and let the community know, in case where someone else facing the same problem.

    Thanks again!

  • How will I know if my battery charged at 40-70% on my Aspire V 15?

I have an Acer Aspire V 15.  It seems that the lithium Ion battery must be charged at 40-70% of the battery, but I don't know how to judge that?  How will I know when my battery is charged enough to remove it from the laptop?  My battery light shows blue (fully charged when the power supply cord is connected, but it turns off when I remove the power cord.)

It is another way to check the battery level. Why people suggest to charge the battery at about 70% is simple. 100% charge level is a 'stress' of the battery keep this level of load. A lower level of load is not so stressful for the battery. But as I told you, you have nothing to indicate clearly on what level to charge your battery, at least not on laptop computers acer laptop. Some computers laptops sony had this option for implementation in their material.

    Hi big95n011037,

Not likely to contain a virus, most likely an error BIOS or driver. Consult the manufacturer of the system for
updated BIOS, drivers from the chipset of low level and other corrections possible. Check with their forums.

Check the other thread you have responded to for more information on battery problems.

"Do I have to keep my lap top connected while playing games, watching movies etc.,it would be a good idea

What you can do is set up to alert you in power options when the level exceeds not (arbitrarily) by 10 percent.

It is always useful when you identify the installed operating system.

  • Windows 7 adjustable threshold less than 100% of the battery charge?

    Hello.

I have a Clevo P170HMx which is a cell phone game impressive.

Probably the only thing I don't like is that my battery is always 100%.  I used my laptop plugged into an electrical outlet.

and knowing that to have my battery to 100% and always load will destroy the battery life.

My previous laptop was an IBM Thinkpad, and it had a maximize battery gauge allows you to define the allowed charge batery

threshold.  I got this game to start the load to 15% and stop loading at 20%.  I had this same battery from the time of purchase

until 4 years later, I got my new laptop, the battery remained in excellent condition with load capacity full not escape

as do other batteries when they stay at 100% and reload constantly.

Is it possible on Windows 7 pro to change the threshold of battery charge to stop less than 100% load to save battery life

life?  Or is it Windows software available for download that will make this recommended?

If Windows 7 is not able to do this, I would say something in an update service pack or the next version of Windows.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    See you soon...

    Hello

In normal circumstances as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the charge and will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe.

The latest Lithium-ion batterires have a limited number of Discharg/charge cycles.

You can create a detailed report on the State of the battery to double check the battery status.

    1. go to Start / all programs / Accessories. Click on the command prompt and select run as administrator.

2 in the command prompt window, copy / paste the following command.

    powercfg-energy-output %userprofile%\desktop\energy-report.html

    Press ENTER.

Wait for the command to complete (usually about 2 minutes).

This create a file named energy - report.html and place it on your desktop.

3 go to your desktop and double-click the file to open.

Scroll to the bottom for the battery: battery information section.

    You will see:

    Rated xxxxx

    Xxxxx full last Charge

    (Where xxxxx is a number)

4 to calculate the amount of full Charge capacity left in the battery split the value of the last Charge full rated capacity and multiply by 100.

For this example , use the following numbers.

    Nominal capacity 4400

    Last full 2937

Calculator enter 2937 and divide by 4400.

Multiply the multipliez le resultat result by 100 , then press =.

    The result will be 66,75

This means you have 66,75% of the nominal capacity of the battery.

    Tell us what you find.

Hi, is there an indicator that shows when the torch is in charge and full charge.

    Thank you

The only indicator is the small battery on the top icon on the left.  When loading, it will show a lightning bolt through it and the charge level will be Visual, that is to say very little, half, three quarters, etc.

You can also download free apps in AppWorld that will show you exactly how the battery is either 42%, 98%, etc..

I have background App refresh disabled - the scale of the system. However, the Firefox application has managed to get a huge 8.6 hours of substantive activity App Refresh... and eat an important piece of my battery charge in the process. He has used more battery than the Safari app, even if I used just the Firefox App Firefox does NOT respect (and iOS is obviously not properly apply) the updating of the background App setting.

The Firefox application won a quick deletion of my iPhone. I can give him a second chance in the future, when Apple and Mozilla had the chance to solve this fundamental problem App update.

Attached are two screenshots. The first is my screen background App update, which shows that I have background App refresh disabled in its entirety and the second, my main screen of the battery, which shows the excessive amount of the battery used by "Background App refresh." Firefox is a flagrant violation in the Protocol of the battery by the Firefox app... and unfortunately, iOS has allowed it to happen.

I am very pleased to announce that the issue of excessive background use I had experienced with a previous version of Firefox for iOS is part of Firefox version 1.2! I now use the normal battery with little or no background activity. I am very pleased and I intend to continue to use Firefox on iOS regularly.

  • MS A30 - battery charging when I plug in the power cable

    Hello

I'm having some problems with (I think) on my A30 power management utility. When I am running on battery power and I plug in the power cable, the battery continues to discharge even if the laptop 'knows' that it runs on the power grid (ie the utility says "current generator: alternating current.") "Online, discharges: 82%. Strangely, if I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', then resume, she goes back to normal (i.e. working on current alternative, the battery charges).

It is true, I think that this began after I installed "PC Pitstop optimize Scan" www.pcpitstop.com (please, not conferences - I used a couple of their public services before and they were very good, so I thought it would be too much), so I guess it's some sort of configuration problem, but I have no idea where to go from here. I went through all the options on the power management utility, but they all look sensitive. Any ideas (other than do not install software stupid, doubtful)?

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

I experienced this behavior on my A30 where the system says it works on current alternative, but still drains the battery and stops eventually.

In my case the problem has proved to be a loose DC Jack that sometimes cuts off contact with the socket on the back of the laptop. This momentary loss of power DC seems to provoke the power management utility switch to battery power, even though the DC power is restored. The only way out of this situation is to Hibernate / restarting the laptop.

I think that it is a problem with the power supply subsystem in the laptop that does not react properly when it encounters a momentary loss of DC. Then the Toshiba power management utility is no longer responds correctly and switches to the battery power.

My only solution to this was to anchor the DC cable to the back of my A30 so that there is now no chance of the plug DC moving in its socket. This has proved to be very effective for my A30 and I've had no recurrence of the problem.

  • Changing the setting of 80% to 100% on the Satellite Z30-A-104 battery charging

    Hello

I used my Z30 Satellite primarily as a desktop till now (the charger is still plugged).
One day I got a popup option to increase the life of the battery (charge only up to 80%) and I accepted the option.

But now, I'll be traveling and can't reset this option.

I want to charge the battery to 100% and be able to take advantage of longer battery life.
    How is that possible? Help!

    See you soon

    Hello

I think that you have changed this setting in battery Toshiba Manager c++.
    You must disable Mode "Eco-responsible".

Probably there is debris and dust in the decision-making of the lightning.  Serve with compressed gas canned (NEVER orally).  If this doesn't help, try electronic contact cleaner has a q - Tip.  Finally, take it to Apple.
