Battery switch

Recently, I had a problem with the battery 12 cells on my dv5t laptop. All of a sudden, the battery, which takes place usually a load of 5 to 6 hours, died after 3 hours. I contacted HP Chat Support and they solved the problem with an update of my BIOS and recalibration of the battery. Fixed a problem.

My is... does question the fact that I regularly exchange my battery 12 cells in and out of my laptop with my 6-cell battery cause this problem with the 12 cell? I have to stick with a battery or by exchanging their inside and outside OK?

On my HP laptop is power management Windows that monitors software HP battery_not I think is the case with yours. I also swap a 6 cell and 12-cell periodically without any problem.

I would tend to suspect the BIOS and hope that the update has solved the problem, because I saw others with the series dv5 post with problems... with only one used battery battery charge. Use it as you have visited, if the problem comes up then you have a decision to make about where to stay full time.

  • Satellite A200 - loses the battery, switch off the power

I have a relatively old Satellite A200, yet almost all inside is new except the battery. The battery has a very short life, but that's because its old. Recently the computer started to suddenly lose the battery, so the charge light stays on, the battery light turns off and the battery icon said "plugged in, not charging." However, the computer still work on battery power. If I see it at the time, then by removing and replacing the charger repeatedly, I can start it load again, but if I am not it switches off without warning. Since the battery life is now less than a minute which often.

I don't think that the problem is with the charger because it always shows the charger is plugged in, and when the computer is off the battery light is always on when it is plugged. I had a problem with the power connector, but if the motherboard was recently replaced so I don't think that's it either.

If someone could help it would save me a lot of frustration, thank you.

    Hello

At first, I must say that you should not be frustrated. Problems with consumer products are normal, and each of us has problems with laptops, televisions or other electronic product.

Let's see what you can do about it.
Your description is OK, but what I want to know is follow:
When you remove the battery can work on your laptop with no problems (start work, cut)?

I also think that the battery is too old and I presume it's troublemaker in the history. It is not easy to explain what behavior flashing if you have a defective hardware or old coin inside.

Maybe, you need to buy the replacement of the battery and check the features for laptop and the battery, just to see if everything will be OK again. If you will be faced with the same problem again then we can discuss what may be the problem.
In my opinion only a reason for this could be electronic power supply.

    Hello

I was wondering if dell considers it more practical stacking iscsi switches (e.g. 6224) or to keep separate them with aggregated uplinks.

    Dear,.

    Huw

Stacking is better than the chutes.  Less general, more low-latency, higher throughput.

Also make sure you have the latest firmware for the 6224.  If using frames, place the iSCSI in their own VIRTUAL local area network ports.  (Ports of server and EQL table).   Value size MTU 9216.

  • Switch 10 battery health

I got a Switch 10 for about three months now, and it dawned on me that I don't give much thought to the maintenance of the battery. I use mostly my switch for reading, browsing the Web and a few games that does not require much memory or horesepower. Some days, I drain the battery down to AB. 10%, but other days I plug in the charger when it is only 80% or more.

So what is the best strategy to maintain the battery switch 10 for the long term?

  • 1xPS4000 and 1xPS6000 switch between 2 x 6224 battery plugged wth LAG to be able to do a fw update

    Hello

I'm about to failover of iSCSI traffic connecting 6 Esx 4.0 host and 1xPS4000 and 1xPS6000.

My problem is that the version of Esx do not allow me to change the connection timeout iSCSI from 5 seconds to 60 dry such as recommended in the EQL docs. If it would work it would not be a problem to make a switch of the controller, but with this problem I'm unsure if I'll lose iSCSI - connections causing some or all of the vm:s to go down when the passive controller became active in the stack of the 'new '.

I tried to do a "manual failover' taking a cable both of the active controller and its connection to the new"stack", but this was done on 1xPS6100 and 1xPS4100 who have not havie any connection iSCSI in their regard.

My question is if it is an appropriate option, even when the iSCSI connections are on members or are there better options?

    We greatly appreciate your advice

    Cree

Hello, are you talking about the upgrade of the firmware of the switch or the EQL firmware?  I assume that the switch.

If you have two LAG'd batteries with connections between them, and then restart each battery switch should cause no problems.

You can move a cable at a time.  Put an end to all connections on this link and the iSCSI initiator to reconnect.  Make sure this link is always accessible.  That is, if you move a port of the Bay, ping the IP address of the port of connections to the server on both switches.  You want to make sure that the links between switches working properly.

  • IPhone 5 sec stops randomly after a battery replacement

    Hello!

My battery of my iphone started to disappear after 1.5 years and I decided that it needed a new spare battery and maybe he could fix it. So I bought one and the tools and made myself, I changed the battery and the phone worked. Now the problem, first, the battery is still hurt like the old, it drains toward the low real fast, and on the other hand, the most annoying problem ever. My iphone just randomly turns off completely without any warning or error, it's just black. Sometimes like all the days of 15 times. I use, put it in my pocket, pick up after like 5 minutes and its judgment. Sometimes even when I use it, it just goes off like that. Its so annoying!

10 minutes earlier before, I was in bed and listen to music using my iphone, it's just off. I can not even use my phone to alarm more because he died during the night.

Can I do to solve this problem? Help, please

(I tried factory reset the phone did not work)

    Hello Ogen98,

You probably expect this response, so don't let it get to you.  It is ok.   It is certain that it's your own battery switch that is behind your problem of 99%.   I suggest you enter your phone into an Apple store, but I'm afraid that they will not touch it after a third of repair.   Of course, we can't imagine what you did and you wouldn't get much help here because most people have no idea of the innards of a phone.

I think you have to bite the bullet and replace it.   You need reliability.

  • My 157 A60 loses power and cheated on battery

A few weeks ago my power adapter A60 stopped working so I replaced it with a universal adapter. I checked if it was compatible with Toshiba laptops and plugged.

When I use my dvd player, or burn videos to dvd the power of the adapter to the battery switches and I only have a battery installed in my laptop. It's weird because as soon as I remove the disc it switches back on current alternative.

I'm assuming that the AC adapter is defective somehow because I never had this problem with the original Liteon power supply that came with the laptop.

Does anyone have any ideas or ways to cure the problem? I'm fairly certain that the adapter is defective and cut the power off when the drive is in use, but it's a strange thing happens.

Just to add - if your laptop goes off (as mine did!) blow through the grill and fan and remove dust. A straw is usually the case. It is solved the problem of disabling for me.

    Hello

I suspect that your 'universal' adapter is not able to provide enough current when your laptop is important on this issue, for example when you use your optical drive. It is likely that your adapter has an overload protection system that cuts the power when a too heavy load is placed on it.

    Kind regards

  • Add new N3048 to current stack of switch

    Hello

I have a new N3048 switch to add to our current stack of 2 N3048 to provide more capacity. Before lighting for the first time, that I would like to know if I need to run through the initial configuration or can I just connect the new battery switch and power, it will then get the config of the switch?

The firmware must also update on the battery, can I do this first or when all 3 switches are in the stack?

    Thank you very much.

Since the existing battery and the new, we can have different firmware revisions, generally the best route is updating the firmware on the existing stack, and then on the new switch to add before attaching it to the battery. You should not need to do any initial configuration before attaching. As always recommended is to use a ring topology when stacking to avoid "split brain" IP address and duplicate problems are common with chain failures.

  • Configuration of the L3 Switch to send the traffic to Palo Alto

Please forgive my ignorance when it comes to Palo Alto. This is the first time that I do business with them. We need to ensure one VLAN located behind the Palo Alto. I am including a diagram to show a simulation of what we seek to do. We have by default VLAN1 which is our default data VLAN. We have 19 VLAN is VLAN we want it secure. The VLAN1 SVI IP is 10.1.1.1 and VLAN19 SVI IP is 10.1.2.1. On the Palo Alto, we have an IP interface was like 10.1.1.2 for default data VLAN and 10.1.2.2 for the VLAN secure. There are also a pair of HA with IPS 10.1.1.3 and 10.1.2.3 respectively. We have EIGRP that announces the network default VLAN1. Here's what we want to do. Anything from the 10.1.1.x network, go to the 10.1.2.x network, must pass through the Palo Alto. Whatever either from the 10.1.2.x network, must go through the Palo Alto as well. Nothing to any other network 10.1.1.x, takes the route by default (and), and anything from 10.1.2.x to anything else on 10.1.2.x should stay local to the LAN (not pass through Palo Alto. Need just for the MAC address arp). My question is, how do I tell my L3 switch to send all traffic created in the 10.1.2.x, through the Palestinian Authority? I can't do an IP route because from the local network VIRTUAL lives on these L3 switches and is a directly connected route. Really, I can't do the ACB on the switch, because that is really meant to routers. I can put a long match, for everything on the 10.1.2.x network (i.e. the route ip 10.1.2.7 255.255.255.255 10.1.1.2), but for some reason when do whatsoever of 10.1.2.x another thing goes on 10.1.2.x through the palo alto so. Anyone have any suggestions on what would be the best practice, from a network perspective, on how to do this? Thanks for any help!

Looks like you want all traffic to and from the secure virtual local network to pass through the firewall of your description?

I'm not familiar with Palo Alto firewall is so I don't know how they work in HA, IE. with other devices do you want to simply talk to a VIP which is responsible for two firewalls?

In your example the two firewalls have an IP address per vlan, but always just use you one IP addresses for the end-end connectivity. I'll assume that you do, you may need to change, but when I say that I mean the one that reminds you of the devices for routing etc..

So for all the traffic to and from the network 10.1.2.0/24 to go through the firewall, you must-

    (1) remove the battery switch the IVR for vlan 19. You need the firewall to be routing vlan not secure the 3750 s. You leave vlan 19 in the database for vlan.

    (2) point them vlan 19 customers as default gateway

    (3) addition of a route on the stack of 3750 for the network 10.1.2.0/24-

    IP route 10.1.2.0 255.255.255.0

    (4) if the 10.1.2.0/24 network needs to talk to other that 10.1.1.0/24 remote subnets, then for each of these networks the firewall should be a route. The syntax will not be IOS, but this should give you an idea-

    IP 10.1.1.1 road

    etc... for each remote network

That means foregoing is all the traffic going and coming from 10.1.2.x customers to other subnets must go through the firewall. The customer traffic in the vlan secured to other clients in the vlan safe doesn't have to go the firewalls.

In theory, yes connect the other battery cable provides superior performance, as you will have two stack active links between your two units.
