Bay: 50-55 adapter

Hey all,.

I finally got round to buying an SSD to put in this PC, a crucial MX200 500 GB

The drive works perfectly, but I have a little problem with that need a good adapter/drive Bay media. I'm actually now in support Crucial clean but it attaches not anywhere in the drive bay at all and obviously less than ideal, even with a stationary PC and SSD.

Anyone has improved their H50-55 too or does anyone know of a support/adapter which should be?

If it is not... any other suggestions?

Thank you

Callum

Yes, it fits. Just look for the drive carrier HARD 2.5 to 3.5 on any retailer store, Amazon, computer, and you should find it.

    Hello

As far as I know that there is no external adapter. My opinion is that you can use your second HDD as external device. I use external 60 GB HDD built-in 2.5 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Slim size "hard Aluminum Case.

It is easy to use and connect if I need.

  • Tecra M5: Need for a Slim Select Bay HARD drive adapter

I bought the Tecra M5 last week and I'm very happy with it, but I also bought the disc adapter HARD Slim SelectBay (number PA3134U-2CTE)
I already have a hard drive to go inside, but upon arrival, I found that they are not compatible, and I need a caddy / adapter plate so that it all works!

Anyone have any ideas on a market after copy?
I spent the last 4 hours of the day on the phone with various departments within Toshiba and suppliers, of which none seem to be able to help. I'm going to spend 280 on a 100 GB HARD drive, when a 120 gig on his own is only 120, I think 160 for the plate of the evasive / caddy is too expensive!

    Cheers in anticipation.

    Hello

I found information on the net that the adapter Slim Select Bay drive HARD PA3134U-2CTE is a really good part, and I imagine that you must now only a compatible HARD drive.
The drive HARD and any other compatible parts, you can order from the Toshiba service partner in your country.

    Hello

First of all, you need to use the HARD drive adapter selectable right Bay which is compatible with the Portege S100.

I found an and it seems that the HARD drive adapter Bay selectable PA3408U-1ETC is the right!
Case Interface is serial ATA (SATA). And the Serial - ATA 80GB HDD Kit PA3407U - 1 H 80 must be compatible with the select Bay case

You must reformat the drive to NTFS,

  • Tecra M4-138: update BIOS (i) 3.40 (ii) Slim Select Bay HD

    (i) recently (12/06/2007), Toshiba has released an update of the 3.40 BIOS which can be done only through windows. I own a Tecra M4 - 138 running Win XP Tablet Ed and since now I've updated windows fron BIOS (now it is under v3.30). But the last update can be satisfied! After you run the update, it displays a small window with the label 'run... '. "and a bar running and... that's it! After waiting nearly an hour nothing happenned. I called the local dealer and they advised to perform decommissioning if the system restarts to repeat the procedure and if the problem continues to avoid the update. Is this (thankfully)! Because I don't know if this update fixes important and by default, I tend to be updated, any valuable advisor?

(ii) I'm trying for some time to put a HD (secondary IDE) to my Tecra M4-138 using the Slim Select Bay drive HARD adapter (PA-3134U-2CTE), an IDE interface and... of Toshiba 120 GB HD... SATA (!) all bought them 4PC GMBH (a Premium Business Partner of Toshiba...). In any case, after not receiving their share of response to my posts, I decided to use this SATA HD as external USB and I am now looking again for a 2.5 "HD (IDE) put in PA-3134U-2CTE. The question: what can be the maximum capacity that resists the Slim Select Bay?
    ?:|

The update of the bios version 3.40 is logical, but it is not necessary if you are running a stable system.

    There are two major improvements:
    1. exit TV (S-Video) is compatible with Windows Vista now
    2 Improments about Chipset Intel

If you have a floppy drive there is another possibility for updating the bios.
Extract the 3.40 bios. Copy the files chgbiosa.exe and BIO0026T.COM on the diskette.
Now you can perform the update of the bios as described in the http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?service=EU&FID=TRO0000000b07 Bios FAQ in the traditional update section.

    According to your second problem:
Tecra M4 has no real limits on the size of hard drive in the Bay of select. The only thing you have to rememer is Tecra M4 has an INTERNAL Serial ATA HDD but select bay with a selectbay for Parallel ATA HDD adapter.
So I wonder you bought a SATA HARD drive - for this slim selectbay adapater. PATA HDDs will only fit in!
Back to your question once again. You can buy any real 2,5 "PATA HDD for this card. To get the good HARD-Adator disc on the HARD disk, you should consider buying a drive hard Toshiba selectbay in Catalog option (for example PX1340E - 1 12)

  • OSX does not boot sequence make

    Hello

I have a MBP 15 "(early 2011). I7 2.2 GHz, 16 GB at 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM and it runs OSX El Capitan 10.11.3 Version.

A few years ago I have moved the "old" SATA HDD to DVD Bay using an adaptation set and installed an SSD as drive system (and added a few extra memory in the process). Everything worked perfectly up to one month, when all of a sudden, he didn't get through the startup sequence after you enter the system password. The process indicator basically stopped at around 60%.

Using virtually all options to restart the Mac as explained here (randomly): combinations of keys start for Mac - Apple Support , I was able to recover the system, every time, but after a few days or even a week the problem occurs again.

Some details of the event and recovery:

    -Mac just stops and restarts

-You here the start-up tone and see the Apple logo

-Enter the password for the user

    -Indicator process stops at 50-60%

Recovery process (do not know which of the following actions really toured well (or which combination / sequence!).) After each attempt to start, I have to do a hard reset using the power button.

-Try boot in SafeMode (screen remains white)

-Single user (screen stays white and you hear fan noise)

    -Reset NVPRAM (no difference)

-Don't start with 'Diagnostic test of the internet' - no defect found during extensive testing

-Start in verbose mode (machine hangs after that "nspace-Manager-set-snapshot-time" will appear on the screen)

-Try to boot from USB key (screen stays white and you here the fan noise) to OSX bootable

-Start in safe mode (it then actually starts in SafeMode as expected)

-Do a reboot of the 'normal' system (result: MBP starts normally as it should)

Only yesterday (after the start in normal mode) the screen and the MBP froze showing this (actually using the Console application):

BTW - I did not see this during one of the other occurrences, so I don't know if this is purely related to my main problem.

My questions (and shout for help :-):)

-Is this someone has an idea what may be the issue and how to confirm this?

-In what files newspapers could / should seek to find the culprit (assuming that something related to this is actually connected)?

-What other tests / scenario could I try?

Thank you very much in advance for any help, comments or suggestions!

    M!

It looks like a hardware problem (graphics card). This year 2011 many Mbps this error, he even had a repair action going. I'm not sure that this action is still running. Check with Apple.

Take a look in the user manual, you will find the following information:

    Thanks for any help.

    Rob

    Hello

The bad news is that the particular model of HP PC you have is not configured for more than one hard drive.  However, you have options.

    1. Attach a drive 3.5 "down inside the PC using a pair of 5.25" Bay optical adapters.
    2. Use a disk external esata and extend the card mother SATA port on the back of the i/o Panel with an adapter plate I/O.
    3. Remove optics and mount a hard drive to the optical Bay using the adapter in the #1.
    4. Use an Adapter PCI-E slotand attach a drive 2.5 "SSD or to the adapter.

If you are looking for a shopping cart add a second HDD, I don't think your laptop is an internal drive Bay Second - the only option would be to install another HARD drive in the optical drive Bay using an adapter as in the example on the following link.

SA - VADM is not supported in the 7206VXR router?

    It should be supported.

Perhaps the last IOS stop supporting this card EoS.

You can try to downgrade your IOS to 12.3 T or 12.2 T to see if it makes any diff.

  • XPS 410 (Dimension 9200) hard drive upgrade. What is the limit?

Currently, I have 3 hard drives in my XPS410: year 80 to run programs and the Windows host and two 500 GB (configured as RAID1 for mirroring) for documents, music, etc. I make an edition of AVCHD movies and would like to add additional hard disks to my computer for storage/backup of the images.

The two slots in the hard drive inside the case are busy. In addition, the 3rd hard drive lies in the 5.25 "bay - using an adapter. I have no floppy drive or media card reader. So, I think to put two hard drives in these slots and their establishment as a separate RAID1. Are there problems for 5 hard drives in this particular machine? I definitely have available SATA ports... Then the power supply handle this situation (my graphics card is nVidia GeForce 8300 GS)? Since space is tight in the area of card reader floppy/media, put two hard lead create a problem with the temperature of the hard drive?

Thank you very much in advance for your time and help!

I have the first two in the lower bays and the other two are in the two upper bays, which are for the floppy drive and the card reader. You don't need any additional hardware, just the additional screws that are already in the case.

    Hello

I have a SP20-102 and I replaced the stock model with a 120 GB Seagate HDD and moved the original disc in a Module Bay HDD adapter.

Is it possible to configure things so I can choose which HARD drive to boot from at the start, i.e. it is by default on the internal HARD drive but I can't choose to boot from the HARD drive in the modular Bay?

I tried pressing F12 to boot device selection screen, but am unable to choose the 2nd HARD drive.

    Any ideas?
