Behavior of sleep/wake 7130

I have the vPro 7130 I recently updated to the latest version of the BIOS (A10), video & firmware updates. So far, the question of touch very pesky ghost seems to have been resolved. Finally! BUT now the sleep function (or more precisely, to wake up from sleep) seems to behave like a reboot. When I put the system to sleep, the display turns off immediately and I guess he falls asleep, as expected. BUT when I press the power button to wake him up and it is exactly the same way it does when I turn on it after a stop... past the POST and none of the applications I had opened are open. For example, if I had IE opens when I put it to sleep, after the "Awakening", when I start IE return it asks if I want to restore the previous sessions. I tried hibernate as well... It's worse! After pressing the power button after hibernation, the unit goes in the MAIL, then the kind of screen of light but it is, is just like that forever or until I get tired to wait (long, I waited is 10 minutes - then an eternity) and press on & hold the power button to stop it. Does anyone else know this? Made Eve pretty useless. It is certainly not the way which my laptops waking from sleep. Any help would be appreciated

Hey people it seems that I solve this problem!

I open the bios setup, active and disabled the feature 'block sleep' to force the sistem of re - save the option.

Then, I selected the boot sequence complete rather than minimum (which is also the default), applied all changes and then the configuration of the bios have left.

After the automatic restart of the sistem, sleep/power off problem has been resolved. Now my DVP 11 past in mode 'sleep' correctly. I just had to wait a bit for the first "suite" after these changes.

I'll know if this solution is stable or not, but for now by selecting the full boot instead of the minimum mode seems to have also fixed other little freeze problems.

  • Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate).

The purpose of this thread is to understand the expected behavior of the TCP in Windows 7 stack and the cards on the resume from sleep/hibernate - not - display the suggestions that have been posted in other threads.  I also wanted to gather some folklore on this subject in one place...

It seems to be a group of people having this problem Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate)" without definitive duty (or with various) responds to what the issue is.

Do some reading on this in various places, I see:

-Suggestions to disable UPnP.  This should be largely irrelevant to the problem.

-Reset the default router.  Generally, this should not be necessary.

-Reinstall Windows 7 (ah yes, the panacea for all ills!).

-Replace DHCP static IP address.  This should not be necessary (considered at best as a workaround).

-If it solves the problem, it points the finger at DHCP feature / state on the curriculum vitae of sleep?

-Disable the firewall.  This shouldn't be a problem (why would it).

-If it is a question, it is likely to be isolated, rather than the majority of the cases.

    -VMWare (or similar) virtual networks.

-This could be a problem for some people.  It would be useful for anyone who has a problem to confirm if they have VMWare or similar virtualization installed products (who can create virtual networks).

-Disable the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car.

-It is possible that TCP auto tuning could be a problem for some people - but - unlikely, it would be a problem for people only on the recovery from sleep mode.  I think that anyone with questions about the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car rather than questions on RESUME intermittent connectivity problems.

-Some people report improved performance when turn it off this feature.   Report MSFT from 10 x to x 1000 in laboratory performance. conditions.  It's one you need to test yourself to see if it helps or otherwise.

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = OFF

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = NORMAL

-It works on XP but not on Windows 7?

-It is fairly widely commented that the TCP stack has been re-written/improved thanks to Vista and Windows 7.  It is not surprising, therefore that problems on Windows 7 that do not exist on Windows XP.  This does not necessarily imply that the Windows 7 stck is bug, just as not all software and peripheral food chain TCP are speaking the language of same/current (in the absence of a better technical description).

-One wonders, therefore, are only optimizations issues additional tuning and unloading that have been made in the new stack TCP?   How this confrontation with the problems that occur only in the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended?

-Some people recommended prevents the system from voltage of their cards during the standby/hibernation.  Does this means:

    -The card is not dynamic.

-If the card is allowed to be turned off so there will be a lag between the state saved in Windows and the State represented (none) in the card when the system is out of his sleep (or Hibernate).

-Perhaps, it's something that needs to be addressed in the functions of battery/sleep TCP in Windows 7 - How to handle/recover the situation when the NETWORK adapter is turned off?

-If we put the system to sleep, we want to have power supplied to the maps or not (what are the implications)?

-People have the same problem for the hibernation?

-If there is a problem of State related to the cards, would be - why, in some cases of people solve the problem by disabling optimizations that involve some treatment being given cards instead of being carried out using the processors.  If it was kept in the processors, we have consistent state on the resume (as opposed to cards)?

I think what I understand of MSFT is here:

-What is the behavior designed in the stack revised to ensure a consistent state between the adapter, battery, previously obtained DNS, DHCP settings, etc., the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended.

-Unlikely connections persist across sleep/hibernation - so are they remind/re-restored?

-Windows 7 has more work to properly manage this for cards that - are - power off during sleep?

-Is - it a requirement of MSFT at this time for an own CV, the card must stay lit?

An exchange of views on how this is supposed to work for MSFT would be useful.  Then perhaps hundreds if not thousands of people facing this issue can understand why it happens and how they can solve.

Thank you for spending time and energy on it. I had a frustrating to deal with this problem, but - finally, disable virtual network cards seems to have helped.

    Hello

What BIOS updated to the latest version?

  • Sleep/wake functioning does not properly

I recently bought an iMac 27 '' new. I have problems with sleep/wake function. It works erratically. He'll still go to mode 'sleep' when I choose that, but about 60% of the time it won't wake up when I want that. I have to turn off the power and restart to power the computer. I got off the computer rather than put in mode 'sleep'. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? I've updated to the latest version of El Capitan and run the appropriate version of the OnyX, but nothing seems to help.

A secondary issue is with an external hard drive. I have three connected to the computer. One and always the same, 'evil' ejects itself randomly. It appears and disappears at will. Does anyone have ideas on this?

Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

  • Apple TV 3 sleep wake iMac every 10 minutes...

A few days ago I updated my Apple TV 3 to the 7.2.1 latest firmware (I forgot to do this when it came out in February).

My iMac only has never really sleeps since Apple TV sleep tries to connect to the library of the House shared iTunes on my iMac every 10-15 minutes waking the iMac... It didn't happen with 7.2 firmware.

Konsole shows clearly that it is my sleep Apple TV to wake up the iMac.

If the Apple TV is awake and I do not use my home shared library the iMac sleep well until the next alarm RTC...

I tried without success to the following:

-Restart Apple TV, iTunes, iMac and the router (TimeCapsule) several times and in several orders

-Switching Apple TV, WiFi, Ethernet and vice versa

    -Disabling and enabling home sharing

The iMac can't sleep (with the regular break of 2 hours of RTC alarm) If...

    -iTunes is closed or

-Apple TV is on (not sleeping), off (without power supply) or not on the network

-Sleep on access to the network on the iMac is off (which means Apple TV cannot wake up my iMac at all, not even if I want it...)

I had a similar problem with this Apple TV... about 1 to 2 years ago he went with an Apple TV firmware update later.

And now he is back with this latest firmware maybe never for this device...

The problem is mentioned on the Internet by many people - but unfortunately no solution.

No idea on how to solve this problem is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

The only other suggestion I have is to reset Apple TV. Forcing to do a clean install of the operating system. This means having to re-enter you well account information.

  • Inpiron 15R 5537 - bad game performance or prolonged inability to sleep/wake?

This post is a complaint and a call for a solution that is a real tool for troubleshooting.

The problem is: after I've updated my notebook to Windows 8.1, I noticed on the screen would not back off from his sleep. I instantly would google for answers and I found out, it could get fixed if I installed the latest drivers HD from Intel and AMD. All together and made, the problem was finally fixed, and everything seems to work perfectly... Until I installed Left 4 Dead 2 and tried to test: the video performance was incredibly ADMIN NOTE: replace character removed according to the TOU >. I was like ' Jesus, this is only of L4D2 and this graphics card can't handle even the menu scren! So I google'd, because a HD 8850 M, which does not have a game as old as that is not normal. Has been my solution: install generic drivers from AMD. And the problem was over. Not only that, I was able to play the same field 4. But then I've locked the computer and has failed to wake it back up... again...

Long story short: I'm mad on this subject and I really wan't to know: why the ADMIN NOTE: replace character removed according to the TOU > you guys put HD Graphics of Intel and AMD HD Board altogether? If I have a NOTE from the ADMIN: replace character removed by TOU > 8850 M why the hell I'm going to need a NOTE from the ADMIN: replace character removed according to the TOU > Intel HD Graphics? If you guys had this brilliant idea, why aren't you able to develop a decent driver, one that allows the 8850M high performance, it can handle and the HD from Intel to manage anything, should it manage? and finally: is there is a solution to both problems, which is?

Thanks in advance for any help that is actually useful.

    A dissatisfied customer.

  • Dell place 8 Pro 3G - Sleep / Wake Up questions

    Hello

A few days ago I bought the Dell coming Pro 8 3 G tablet. I have all available Windows Updates, latest drivers and BIOS of 'My Dell'. Unfortunately, my Tablet has some problems with the mode 'sleep'.

    1. only the 'Stop' and 'Restart' options are available in the drop-down list on 'Power' in the charming bar. 'Sleep' is not available and I can not turn off the screen by pressing the power button / stop on the right side of the tablet. I did a few tests using the powercfg command-line tool and I found, the driver mobile (or hardware) prevents the past in standby mode: if I disable the driver, I can put my device in mode 'sleep' without any problem.

    Mobile broadband driver:

Dell 5570e Wireless HSPA + (42mbps network) Mobile Broadband Card #4
    Date: July 9, 2014
    Version: 14.7.1050.64

    2. to wake up to the top of the device to sleep mode does not work if you do this after the first 10 seconds in mode 'sleep'.

When I disable WiFi driver in Device Manager, clock works well, even a few hours after the mode 'sleep' was launched.

    WiFi pilot:

    Dell 1538 wireless 802.11 a/g/n adapter.
    Date: July 4, 2014
    Version: 3.7.2.59655

I don't know if these questions are based on the hardware or driver/software based.

    Everyone knows about similar problems?

    Kind regards

    Dominik

Hello, I had the same problem and I tried all drivers update possible solution (reformatting my Tablet 6 times), the update of windows files, etc... Nothing helps. In the end, I found a similar problem for a Dell location 11 Pro user who suggests to turn off the TPM and Bitlocker. As soon as I disabled it Win8 table bitlocker and TPM/Bitlocker from the Bios (Secure boot - disabled), the Tablet began to wake from sleep with no problems... it's been 1 week now and it has not failed once (it allows to get a black 3 - 4 times per day before the change of the screen).

  • I can't disable the keyboard sleep wake

    I have a laptop ASUS N80vn.

I want to be able to wake up my laptop ONLY by pressing the power button or the sleep button. I don't want another key on the keyboard to wake my computer from sleep. Currently, by pressing any key on the keyboard wake my computer from sleep mode.

    Here's what I've tried:

    1. go into Device Manager-> keyboards-> properties-> power management-> uncheck "allow this device to wake the computer".
    Why it does not work
: there is no power management tab in the properties of the my keyboard driver window.
I currently have four entries under ' keyboards in Device Manager:
    Device keyboard filter
    Keyboard 109 MCIR Microsoft eHome
    Keyboard MCIR Microsoft eHome
    Keyboard Microsoft eHome Remote control
There is no power management tab in one of them!

    2. go in the BIOS, disable "Wake on keyboard.
    Why it doesn't:
there is no other choice "Wake on keyboard", or anything similar, in my BIOS.

    3. open a command window, use the command of ' powercfg - devicedisablewake ' to disable the awakening of the keyboard.
    Why it doesn't:
'powercfg - devicequery wake_armed' does not all devices currently configured to wake my computer from sleep mode. In addition, "powercfg - devicequery wake_programmable poster the ' does not indicate that my network card and my USB mouse are able to be set to wake my computer from sleep mode (both are currently defined NOT to wake up the computer); It makes no mention of the keyboard.

I am resigned to the idea that I have to change my registry, replace my keyboard drivers, or something just as intensively to prevent my keyboard to wake my computer, but I definitely want to do.

If it's important, I only installed computer to go into a S3 sleep and you have turned off the Hibernate.

    Any ideas?

    Hi w1nt3rmut3,.

Welcome to Windows 7 answers Forums!

If you prefer to wake up the computer using the power button instead of using the keyboard, you can follow the steps and check if you can solve the problem.

    1. open the power supply Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Power Options.

2, click change plan settings under the plan selected.

    3. in the change the settings of the front page, click on change Advanced power settings.

    4. on the Advanced Settings tab, expand power buttons and drop settings like the power sleep instead of shutdown.

    5. click on apply and OK.

For more information, you can consult the following links on the power management implementation:

Whichever you prefer. They both make the same except if you give the key a long wait, then slide to turn off.
