  When you are prompted with the error, "DLL Register Server failed 0x80004005"?  You get this error when you start your computer or you open a specific application?   How long have you received the specified error and you did changes on your computer before the reception?

• Windows 7 Photo Viewer cannot run, prompting you to "running the server failed.

  Any chance you take / the vTPS snapshot backups?

  If you take snapshots of the vTPS there has been some cases where this caused such an incident/problem. If you take automatic snapshots, I would recommend not having this feature enabled to the vTPS.

  A configuration backup should be sufficient as the vTPS is really just a big CPU and the configuration remains consistent.

  My hypothesis is correct. After that I installed webtier on Machine A (Server Admin), it changes some files in the Ovdlib in the House of Middleware does level not the domain level.   I'll leave this here in the event that it helps someone else.  I was using an administrator account on the stand-alone host in an attempt to add it via vCenter.  Once I started using the Root account on the host, I could add without problems.

  Guys, there are 2 databases installed on the same server, to correctly configure the SID. Once set, I could see that the database is down and when starting it started working well.

  Kyle, I solved my problem with an other posts on this forum. It turned out to be the NVidia nView Desktop Manager applet in the control panel. It has been activated, and I believe that it has been activated for a long time. I don't know if something in a recent update of broke things, but as soon as I disabled the Desktop Manager, my dynamic link started working again in all aspects. Give it a try. Good luck.

  Your post is a duplicate of the OP's original question. Having the same problems? If so, then some of the steps suggested to try this forum are listed below.
  Here are things to try

  1. the outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication.
  you use Outlook Express you must check the box "my server requires authentication".

  2. If you are behind a firewall, we will be unable to authenticate.
  If you have a personal firewall, try to reduce security or disable it to see if it is causing the problem.
  (Remember to reactivate after the test)

  3. your SMTP (outgoing mail) may be blocked.
  Here's how to test:
  A. go in Start-> Run-> type: cmd 
  B. at the prompt type: telnet smtp.gct21.net 25
  (include spaces exactly as shown above)

  C. wait a few seconds. "You should see the following: ' 220 mail4.gct21.net ESMTP. This means that it isnotblocked.
