BIPublisher - box editable in generated RTF report

The requirement is to have an editable checkbox in the report generated the RTF. The user wants to change the report (document) generated by MS Word. Is it possible to do this? I know that the display of the checkbox in the generated report can be done using the settings of some special police. But if the box is generated like this, so it cannot be changed.

I want to know if this requirement can be made. And if so, how?

• How to create a dynamic RTF report that creates dynamic columns based on the selection of dynamic columns in a table?

Hi all

Suppose I have table, whose structure changes frequently on a daily basis.

For example. / / desc my_table gives you after the name of the column the day 1

SQL > my_table DESC;

Output

Name

Age

Phone

Day 2, two other columns are added, viz, address and salary.

SQL > my_table DESC;

Output

Name

Age

Phone

Address

Salary

Now, I want to create a Dynnamic RTF report which made extracting data from all columns from my_table daily. For this, I have defined a simultaneous program with XML output type and include in annex a data/definition of data model that takes XML as input and gives the final result of the conc program in EXCEL layout. I am able to do that for a constant number of columns, but don't know how to do it when the number of columns to display dynamically changes.

For 1 day my XML file should be like this.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<dataTemplate name="XYZ" description="iExpenses Report" Version="1.0">
<dataQuery>
<sqlStatement name="Q2">
<![CDATA[
SELECT Name
,Age
,Phone
FROM my_table
]]>
</sqlStatement>
</dataQuery>
<dataStructure>
<group name="G_my_table" source="Q2">
<element name="Name" value="Name" />
<element name="Age" value="Age" />
<element name="Phone" value="Phone" />
</group>
</dataStructure>
</dataTemplate>

And my day 1, EXCEL output RTF model should be like this.
Name age phone

Swapnill 23 12345

For 2 days my XML file should be like this. With 2 new columns selected in the SELECT clause.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<dataTemplate name="XYZ" description="iExpenses Report" Version="1.0">
<dataQuery>
<sqlStatement name="Q2">
<![CDATA[
SELECT Name
,Age
,Phone
,Address
,Salary
FROM my_table
]]>
</sqlStatement>
</dataQuery>
<dataStructure>
<group name="G_my_table" source="Q2">
<element name="Name" value="Name" />
<element name="Age" value="Age" />
<element name="Phone" value="Phone" />
<element name="Address" value="Address" />
<element name="Salary" value="Salary" />
</group>
</dataStructure>
</dataTemplate>

And my day 2, exit EXCEL model RTF should be like this.
Name address telephone pay

23 12345 Madrid 100000 Swapnill

Now, I don't know below things.

• Make the dynamic XML as we did in the day 1 there are 3 columns in the SELECT statement and the day 2, 5 columns. I want to create a dynamic XML which must not be changed if the new columns are added into my_table. I don't know how to create this query and also create their corresponding items below.
• Make the RTF model dyanamic as day 1 there are 3 exit EXCEL columns and the day 2, 5 columns. I want to create a dynamic RTF model that would display all the columns selected in XML dynamic. I don't know how the RTF will create new XML tags and how it will know where to place them in the report. Means, I can create model RTF day 1, by loading the XML data for 3 columns and place 3 tags XML in the model. But how he will create and place the tags for the new columns the day 2?

Hope so, you got my requirement, it's difficult. Please let me know how I can implement the necessary solution using the RTF dynamically without any manual intervention.

Kind regards

Hi guys,.

I was able to solve above the requirement.

I created a procedure that would create & update (attached to the data definition) XML file dynamically for each race. This dynamic XML contains the SQL statement for the data query that is built dynamically. I am updating this XML file using XDOLoader utility to the definition of data. Then run my program customized to generate the excel output.

Exit excel retrieves correct number of columns dynamically (3 on Day1 and Day2 5), with corresponding data records.

• Generate a report and save it as a PDF

Hi all

Attachment VI I work on.,.

Here I am trying to generate a report by adding the chart picture in it and save the report in pdf format.

But I coudnt able to save it as a pdf.

In the path dialog box, even if I give the file name as. PDF, still i coundt able to print pdf and when I tried to open it became corrupt.

Please help out of this

I started on the path of 'save as PDF from the word' awhile, but I never got to complete the VI. I think that you need to do is to use the "word get ActiveX References.VI" and document. SaveAs2 method (call the node). You must connect an integer '17' to the variant "file format" entry.

• Generate the report for the custom period

I did experiment with Foglight NMS for the past few weeks. I have search in the forums and hunts around the tool, but I've not found a way to generate a report on a custom period. For example, I would like to run a report, see use of bandwidth during opening hours. The only options I see is "last hour", "Last day", "Last week", etc. "." Is this possible? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Michael,

While we do not have a report which shows the range you're looking for, you can see the use of bandwidth via NetFlow. I know it is not a report, but could be able to show the amount of data sent over the network for a period of time. Lies and must have the feature seen on the road map.

Is it recommended to compile reports 6i in the generator of reports 10g?

Hello

You use the database links in the report?

If Yes, then I suggest to create views select links from the database and use them in the report.

Also, be sure to apply the latest patch from developer 6i (#19).

When you save the report in 10g then the file format will be different.

It may not compile when you deploy in 11i system.

• Lack of 'Generate size report' lively cc

Hi all

I can't find the option "Generate size report" to understand what is bloating my banner size, I checked the publication settings window, and where it is usually according to my research, but he isn't here for me at all.

I use Adobe Animate CC 15.2.0.66.

Thanks in advance!

If you work in ActionScript, it is the third option under "Advanced" in the publication settings.

If you work in HTML5 Canvas, it is not an option because it is not really necessary... with HTML5, you can just look in the folder where your banner is published and display all images/assets and their file sizes here.

• PowerCli script to generate the report for the VM and ESXi model

I'm trying to generate a report for the virtual machines to a domain controller that includes the operating system, Cluster and host of brand and model of ESXi, but for some reason any the ESXi info does not come through. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Get-data center 'TEST ' |

Get - vm |

Select Name, @{N = "OS"; e = {$_.}} Extensiondata.Guest.GuestFullName}},

@{N = "Cluster"; E={$_. VMHost.Parent}},

@{N = 'Esxi model'; E = {Get-VMHost - VM $_.} VM | {{Select model}}

The virtual machine has the properties of the host. For your information "Model ESXi" use $_. VMhost.Model, $_ is the current information for pipeline for the virtual machine. You did for the section "cluster".

• Generate Statspack report automatically once a day

Hello

I would like to generate statspack report once per day and send automatically to my emial to important parts of this report. Right now I have this sript:
su - oracle -c "sqlplus perfstat/perfstat" << EOF
column esnap new_value end_snap noprint
select max(snap_id) as esnap from stats$snapshot;
column bsnap new_value begin_snap noprint
select max(snap_id)-24 as bsnap from stats$snapshot;
define report_name=/home/oracle/sp_proba.lst
@?/rdbms/admin/spreport
EOF
Of course I remove the lines below that parse and send information to my email. It is important to me that those command works when I paste the line in perfstat session (from sqlplus), but when I run the script it receive an error ORA-20200. Of course, it is obvious that this snap_id exists because I select in statspack view! Question is, why this code works when I run line by line of sqlplus session, but does not work when run from a script? Someone at - it such a problem?

Best.

try putting a------before instant stats$ $

column esnap new_value end_snap noprint
Select max (snap_id) as snapshot esnap of $ stats\;
column bsnap new_value begin_snap noprint
SELECT max (snap_id) - 24 as bsnap of snapshot of $ stats\;
define report_name=/home/oracle/sp_proba.lst
