BlackBerry 8800 Smartphone keeps rebooting after installing v4.5.0.110

I upgraded my att 8800 v4.5.0.110 and every time that the 2 GB kingston memory card is in the device restarts continually.  If I take the memory card, the phone seems stable.  Because I need the memory card for all kinds of objects that I store on the phone, does anyone have a solution or at least a way to debug this problem?

Thank you

Read this on how to correct the media card (courtesy of John Clark, a different expertise here in the Forum):

1. remove the card multimedia unit and put it in a card reader. This makes the rest of the process much faster. However, you can do it with the card in the camera.

2 copy all the contents of the card on your PC.

3. replace the card in the camera and go to Options > Media Card > Menu button > card. You wipe the card and reformat. (if using a card reader to remove the card and put it back in the drive).

4. now copy backup ONLY in the media to the device. Don't copy back all the 'BBthumbs.dat' files or all system files. I went through the entire folder and delete all .dat files before copying the content of the music folder and the folders of photos to the device. The device will re-create these files. Also, I is not copy folder "current music" but rather just copied content and pasted into the folder \Blackberry\music of the card. Do this for each folder.

5. Once finished put the card in the camera, and then try again the media App. He must walk to the music. If you have a lot of music can take 5-10 minutes. When scanning, you can open the music application and you should be able to see the songs move in the list when the device will navigate

If after the transfer of all your files back, you still get a stuck scanning bar or device restarts so you have a file in conflict on the map. I saw video files to do this, but it could be a music file too or (less likely) an image file. Remove all the files you transferred and see if restarting to stop him. Then add each file one at a time to see if you can narrow the file which is the cause. When you have found the folder, and then you can refine to a particular file.

  • RESOLVED: Loop of reboot after installing new disks in RAID of PERC S100

A customer has a Dell T110 (with a PERC S100 RAID controller) running Windows 2008 R2. The system has two disks: a reader not RAID (C :) running the operating system and a RAID1 drive (E :) sharing data with network folders.) We need to install again, larger disks for the RAID.

I thought I could backup the data on the RAID drive existing (e), install new disks, built a new table in the S100 (VDM) virtual disk boot manager, boot into the operating system, create the new partition for the data replaced E: drive and copy the data back. This was not the case. After installing the new disks and the new array of construction (which is reported as "READY (R/W)" when starting, Windows starts all the way in "press CTRL-ALT-DEL to log". After two or three seconds, the system reboots. The same thing happens when I try to start safe mode. The system IS NOT automatically booted to the Recovery Console. He never seems to know that an error occurred and the system was not shut down normally.

I booted into the Recovery Console, installed the drivers for the PERC S100 and run recovery to start without success. Also in the Recovery Console, I ran 'chkdsk /f E:\. ' (remarkably, the drive letter for the data drive remained the same), and no error has been reported. I also reinstalled drivers S100 of the recovery using DISM Console, but that changed nothing.

I started to 8.1 Windows PE, installed drivers S100, formatted the virtual disk, copied the data which he, and everything works fine. The only problem is when I try to boot from the system drive (which has no problem) with the new installed disks.

When I put the old records, the system boots normally with no reconfiguration required. The VDM to start automatically remembers the discs and the table. Nothing shows up in the logs event indicating that there was an error during startup. (Ntbtlog.txt) start-up newspaper, after several boots with the new drives in place, indicates that the system restarts at various times during loading drivers. There is nothing coherent in the startup log to indicate what the problem is.

The only clue I have is that, during the startup, the VDM reports the virtual drive of origin as 'NORMAL (R/W)' and the new virtual disk as "READY (R/W)", but I'm not sure of the significance of this difference or if it suggests a solution.

I can't find clues in all the newspapers about what may be the problem. If anyone has any suggestions, I will be grateful. I'll be especially grateful for the wacky suggestions.

I ran it. Nothing appeared unusual. However, I does not solve the problem.

I connect the new readers to the same SATA ports as the old records. When I connect one of them to the SATA port that had not been used as part of the original painting, the VDM S100 reported the original failed array, because readers were is more connected and showed the new table as a LOAN. The operating system then started normally.

The trick, it seems that you should remove the old virtual disk before connecting the new disks on the same ports.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones keep restarting after new update BBmessenger

You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.

  • BlackBerry curve Smartphones 9320 200 after update error message

    My phone died now :-(

When I connect my phone to the desktop software this morning he gave me an update message.  I've dutifully updated - and my phone is dead.   I removed all office cleaned of all other files and reloaded software but still not you connect phone to pc.  It simply keeps restart until the error 200 message once again!

Any suggestions gratefully received.  It was working perfectly until the attempt of the last version of the software download.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Something was wrong with the update, and now a reload is necessary. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

  • Black screen with mouse pointer count on reboot after installing SP3

I tried to install Service Pack 3 on a PC running XP Home Edition (new installation).

Although Microsoft Update has finished installing SP3 and the computer reboots, I get the XP installation screen base with the message "Please wait...". ", which disappears after a few seconds, leaving me with a black screen with only the mouse pointer.

The mouse pointer moves then the PC broke down, well that no matter how long I leave nothing happens.

I tried to uninstall SP3 and do it again (when I Uninstall SP3, Windows starts very well) and also uninstall SP3 as well as my Antivirus and try the installation again. But whenever I'm just left whit black screen.

Try to update with the custom option.  I had problems like this before.  Usually you are missing a driver or something of this kind that makes you hang.  To update while the custom option, with the exception of SP3.  Reboot several times the installation of updates with the "Custom" option  Once all updates have been installed except SP3, you can try SP3 and see what happens.  This usually takes care of it when I have the same problem. They are smart enough to get money from customers, but there are other ways to solve it, and as I don't have an answer from someone to solve so I did it my way.

You need following things and a bit of work to solve the

    • External drive WD at least 20 GB of free space
    • An additional computer / laptop to make bootable USB
    • BootCD Hiren CD or Acronis True ImageSoftware (first available for free and a second trial can do magic)

Follow below steps and you "ll do work

    • Insert your hard drive in computer (that came with your laptop)
    • Reset or run recovery on your computer
    • After a successful Installation
    • Download Acronis True Image or use HIREN CD/USB to use acronis to---> make a bootable USB stick (you can make usb bootable of their trial version as well)
    • Restart your system and boot with Acronis Bootable USB or HIREN USB or a CD Hiren
    • Now make a BACKUP of your entire DRIVE DISC and save the image on your WD drive - remember all the disc not a few partitions (it takes an hour to complete.
    • When it's done to Shut Down the Laptop and connect your new hard drive to it
    • Yet once start from ACRONIS or HIREN and then run the RESTORE disc
    • Select WD hard drive image and let it run on any disk (even takes one hour)
    • When it's done, turn off your computer
    • Remove all USB and WD drive

It is quick and your recovery disc and HP Recovery USB will work also on it

  • Tecra S1: BSOD & reboot after installing SP2

After installation of SP2 for Windows XP on three Tecra S1 of the computer crashes whenever the power cord is out of the machines. Then it restarts and restarts until the machine stops completely.

The error ocures on three Tecra S1. It seems that there is a conflict with the pre-installed Windows XP Pro and the drivers Toshiba and SP2.

Someone at - it an idea how to solve this very annoying problem?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello Chris,
the SP2 blocking ActiveX Toshiba Management Console modules, so you must install the fixed version TMC v3.5.2.
However, to avoid any problem, after installation of SP2 on Tecra S1, you need to update:
-Battery BT and utility (only for machines with BT)
    Management - Toshiba console
    -Toshiba Hotkey utility
    Utilities - Toshiba
    Energy saving - Toshiba
    Toshiba - mobile extensions

  • BSOD on reboot after installing the patch MS10-046

I installed the critical patch MS10-046 on a netbook under XP SP3. On reboot, bsod with error message:

"The Shell32.dll image is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the checksum calculated. »

The only way to start was via a USB key. I ran checkdisk (chkdsk/r) on the disc, and it found no errors. Then I copied an older version of the shell32.dll (from installation files) file in the system32 folder and could restart normally. I reinstalled the patch with the same result (bsod on startup), once again replaced the shell32.dll file. Automatic updates is asking to install the patch, but I don't do that until knowing what is the question. (It is set to download but not install).

The system running Avira antivir personal, but I have another machine with XP and Avira and no problem.

    Any ideas?

Your computer may have TDSS, a rootkit.

This rootkit expected that some parts of Windows in certain locations in memory. When Microsoft released (MS10-046), the location of the core Windows API driver who depends on TDSS changed places. When a machine is rebooted to apply the fix, the rootkit tries to modify the memory that is no longer part of Windows target.

    Result? Blue Screen of Death.
